Outdated an Antique Cafe

Me and my art partner are in town painting a mural on the Arc Mid Hudson, this is my 1st time here so I definitely wanted to explore what this city has to offer.

So on this beautiful Sunday, I was toured through uptown aka stockade district, touring the mural scene and quaint Main Street space. Then we stumbled upon Outdated and it made the tours conclusion pleasant.

The line was fast, I went with the egg & cheese and orchid soda(funny thing about the orchid soda is I was stuck between drinks and one of the servers recommended if I try the one I never had); it was a pleasant surprise.

We visited Outdated, Antique Cafe on our way back from Cherry Picking in Red Hook since we really needed a cup of coffee to keep us awake.

Their decor is cool and arsty with lots of vintage furniture. It's a great & cozy place to stay for a couple of hours if we had time. We had 1 Iced Latte & 1 Hot Latte and the drinks were decent & refreshing.

If you have bad attitude and don't want to work, why are you here? How can you be out of iced teas at 2pm?

We ordered an iced chai tea latte and black iced tea. Waited 15 min n no tea. Meanwhile the only person who can brew teas or coffees is chatting with his friend n not doing any orders.
I overheard him say" I don't want to be here. I'm on my way back to California"
When I ask nicely where are our iced teas? He indignantly said didn't she(the cashier) tell you we r out of chai tea n it will take a long time to make... n I say what about the black ice tea .... "Oh that we r out of too, n if u really want it it will take me a long time to make" n then return to chat with his friend., not offering us any other solutions... and any iced teas a aialable? Only hibiscus iced tea n after 20 min we will take the 2 ice tea. And I say isn't there a price difference and though we pay cash, he wanted the cashier to do a full refund and then rering for $1 difference. And huffingly walked away.
Owner: please get rid of employees who clearly don't want to be at your store

I love this cafe. There's lots of cute coffee/cafes places around Kingston, but this one was my fave all around.

I drank too much coffee when I went so I opted for the Outdated bottled iced orange mint tea-- very refreshing! They also had an herbal tea available if you need to skip caffeine.

I tried the jalapeño jack scone and omg was that delicious. Scones can be so dry and disappointing but this was warm, moist and just the right amount of jalapeño cheesiness. So delicious. Also had a dark chocolate pistachio cookie that I couldn't pass up, a winner!

The cafe is super cute, spacious with lots of cool antique items to buy. I ended up finding 2 cool vintage clothing items for $10 each. There are two large patio tables outside during Covid times. Make sure you check their adjusted hours!

Such an awesome spot, service was friendly, and proper covid precautions were in place.

A little pricey and they overdo the toast a bit, but this is my favorite place to eat breakfast. Their wonderful tea has an option of adding a drop of CBD oil. Everything is natural and the food is so good that I ate there a couple of times before I noticed that the whole menu is vegetarian!

From Cali. Never been to Kingston. Rating is based on low key and great vibe and service with incredible oatmilk maple latte.

Update that I went back the next day, got another latte and a few sandwiches. I'd visit again if I had the chance.

Food here is deliciously amazing and alive with good chi. Sorry for shouting. But Please. Write. A. Cookbook.

I had an epic and amazing Spicy maple smoke Tempeh Reuben on sourdough with gouda.  I cannot stop thinking about it and I really don't have the spare time to drive back and have another one.

My friends each ordered something different for lunch, which they scarfed down with as much relish as I although I was able to snap a pic of each before we all fell to.

I came for the Tempeh Reuben and was so rewarded with a flavor overload. I thought going meatless might mean never enjoying a Reuben again. I was wrong delicious!!

I just had breakfast here and I swear to G-d the jalapeño jack scone toasted with butter was one of the most amazing things I've ever eaten in my entire life. Definitely coming back here!

Such a cute spot! Love the atmosphere the food and drinks are well. Let me be the first to say the staff here are very nice. My first time here and I felt so comfortable so welcomed. Granted this was pre covid. I would recommend this place to any coffee lover who likes to be relaxed and enjoy peaceful venues.
