The Market benefits the local Orlean community beyond food and drink, providing the only gas station for more than six miles radius. Serving breakfast, lunch and dinner. Working with local wineries, we are the first Northern Virginia Piedmont Regional Hub by 2024. "We're hoping that we can be a portal for the Northern Virginia Piedmont, wine country", notes owner Kia Kianersi Music - Our community clearly loves music and values having a venue both to hear and to play music. We have created a cozy playing area on the outside patio as well as in the pub. Customers can pick up a nice bottle of Local Virginia Wine or craft beer and the last-minute things forgotten from the grocery 'in town'. We offer our private event space ( with or without special 'catering' menus from our kitchen) for your next family, birthday, wedding or special occasion celebration; group and club meetings and more ....set in the beautiful, peaceful foothills of the Blue Ridge. Coming to The Orlean Market you will experience the unexpected -- and oh yeah, the service is great too. Orlean is a small unincorporated village in Fauquier County, Virginia, located approximately 50 miles (80 km) west of Washington, DC. Orlean is situated at the intersection of Leeds Manor Road (County Route 688) and John Barton Payne Road (County Route 732). The Orlean Post Office has the ZIP Code of 20128.

This is my fourth time here. First few times were fairly decent. Went there tonight for New Year's Eve. Couldn't order off the regular menu. They had a preset menu for $58 dollars. It included soup OR salad, chicken cordon bleu& crab cake with sides, OR steak and shrimp with sides, and dessert. VERY disappointed with the entire meal. Salad had nothing in it and very little dressing. Dry as a bone. Crab cake was the worst I've ever had. Shrimp were frozen breaded shrimp with no flavor. The chicken and steak were okay. The sides were all awful. Instant mashed potatoes, cold hard fries, brown broccoli that looked bad and tasted worse. The dessert said pistachio cheesecake. It was ok but not cheesecake. More of a 3 layer light cake. Not sure what all the hype is about. 4 stars? I'm shocked it had this rating. There's nothing else around so I think people just settle.

A great little jewel tucked into the Virginia Piedmont countryside. Good people, good, food, and good entertainment.

Not a good experience the last few visited. So disappointing. I love the ambience. Good was cold. They let it get cold since they marked it "carry out" twice in a row, even though they never asked if we were eating in.
So much potential. Sad.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Candace C.Marshall, VA0342Nov 14, 2022
It's difficult to find the words to describe just how terrible the food at the Orlean Market is! After years of not patronizing it, we called to order a pizza yesterday for dinner. Was told they are out of large pizzas --- was not offered 2 small pizzas for the price of a large, which would have been the logical thing to do...Crust was similar to cardboard - although cardboard might be better - toppings were stingy (to put it mildly) and green pepper was completely raw, seemingly throw on after cooking. Two small pizzas with 3 toppings for the outrageous price of $34.00. Sure won't be back.

Went to a favorite restaurant tonight Orlean Market. Ordered a personal pizza with double cheese and double pepperoni.
Got it and the dough was raw. The bottom didn't have any color, and it looked like a normal pepperoni pizza. I ate one piece and felt a little grossed out. Left the rest and by the time the server came back, (drinks were long empty) she apologized and asked if we wanted it cooked more. I told her I was not interested and just take it back. She said she would take it off the bill. So, she came back with the bill and the pizza was still on it. My wife asked why, and she said that it was not cooked because I added too many toppings....
I was a frequent patron of this place but I'll find another that has better business decisions.
I added a pic of the double pepperoni. Pretty sad especially if you look on their page, it shows a pepperoni pizza with way more pepperoni than mine did.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0 - Allison H.Virginia Beach, VA4191412Sep 2, 2021
One summer a long time ago, a pony named Boomer took four of his buddies on a 3 mile hike to the Orlean Market. They didn't need people.. Boomer was the boss. That's how wonderful the Orlean Market is. The owners of the store saw that the mischievous four-legged group made it home safely. Today, the Orlean Market returned my client's wallet all the way to his front door, which he'd dropped inside the store by accident. The fine folks at the Orlean Market are a class act. Not only do we approve, the Orlean Market is 'Boomer Approved'!

I should preface with we haven't been in a while. This market/pub has lot of potential but seems to be plagued with lack of staff. The last time we had dinner there, our meal took forever (almost an hour) and arrived stone cold. When an establishment is charging premium prices for entrees, the service needs to be top notch.
The market is handy for those living close by but check the expiration dates on refrigerated items! We have found many items past their expiration date.
We believe in supporting local businesses so will go back and give them yet another chance. Stay tuned!Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0
