How much would you guys charge for a 1400 square foot condo with 4 bedrooms and 3.5 bathrooms? My home is located near the intersection of Main Street and Marguerita Avenue. Thanks!

Oranges & Lemons is the best cleaning service I've ever used. Every time they come to my studio apartment, they leave it far cleaner than it was when I moved in, and they always do small additional things to make your space more comfortable and to add that personal touch. For example, last time they organized all of my shoes (which were previously in a pile in my closet). The time before that, they also organized all of my old grocery bags which I had just stuff in a cupboard under the sink. The ladies who clean are kind, trustworthy, and I am completely comfortable leaving them to clean while I go run errands. And if I do ever have questions or concerns, they respond immediately via email or text and are incredibly accommodating. I cannot recommend a cleaning service enough and they are far more worth the price than any others I've used.
Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Oct 1, 2016Previous reviewThis company is incredible and extremely easy, reliable, and detail-oriented. They can get into my high-rise apartment (with no good parking) without help, they always arrive at my door on time, and I can leave them in my apartment feeling confident that they'll do a great job and leave it in far, far better shape than it was in when I left. Without me asking, they organize my shoes in my closet, organize my insanely messy bathroom, and leave the apartment genuinely spotless. I've paid the same amount for cleaning companies on groupon that do 1/4 of the work that this group does, and Oranges & Lemons will stay until your apartment is clean, even if it takes them longer than they anticipated (and they don't charge you extra or by the hour). Could not review them higher! (This is my first time reviewing anything on yelp and it is odd, but they're worth it).

2nd time using them it's pricy but well worth it!
They send a set of 2 for the team and they will clean and make your house sparkle! I forgot who the first 2 initial ladies were dispatched to my house but I loved them! Very professional and they get the job done! I recommend this company to anyone!
Whether it's a move in clean, move out clean, or just normal everyday cleaning they get it done!Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Heather H.Los Angeles, CA632Jul 30, 2022Updated review
Update: After cleaning my house two or three times, an item was broken. When I contacted the company, they said they needed to check with the service provider to confirm the damage. The cleaner denied that anything was broken during their service and refused any responsibility. The company insisted that they supported their employee and believed that the item in question must have been damaged by me not their employee. As a way of compensation, they put a $20 credit towards my next service. I did not continue using their services.

I would happily recommend Oranges and Lemons to anyone in the downtown area. They really are as good as it gets.

I've been using Orange and Lemon several times since my previous apartment.
I'm pretty satisfied with their service.
It becomes little more expensive quote than before but I'm satisfied with their professional service.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - 1333911248Sep 19, 2020
The results are usually 5 out of 5, but I've had to remind the team multiple times to wear shoe covers in our home. I'm surprised that in the time of COVID I would see them walking in our home with their uncovered shoes. Aside from that inconsistency, Oranges and Lemons has provided our home thorough cleanings for over a year. We haven't been able to use them but once due to COVID my husband and I are home 24 hours a day except for one day. When we returned we were very happy that The Oranges and Lemons team left our home sparkling. When my husband and I no longer work from home and return to our respective offices, Oranges and Lemons will be the first call we'll make!

Between my fiancé working nonstop and me being extremely pregnant, we haven't had the time or energy to clean our house. The bathroom is the hardest thing for me to clean, especially the bathtub and sliding glass doors. I scheduled them to work for an hour. I should have scheduled for longer because I underestimated just how long it would take to tackle the bathroom. They did a very thorough job and our bathroom sparkles. They were even able to vacuum the rest of our place. Next time I'll book them for longer so they can clean the kitchen as well.

It was my first time using Oranges and Lemons as I was looking for a DTLA company in hopes of supporting local businesses. Needed a move-out cleaning which I consider an overwhelming task. The cleaning team was quick and it was obvious they were professionals. I don't think I could clean even half as good as they did. The quality of the work was great and all details were attended to without asking. Will definitely use them again for routine cleaning of our new place.

They only offer service in DTLA area - I booked a service because the map indicated that I was within their service area, but my reservation got cancelled by them, because I live near Chinatown - the owner says all their workers walk to their clients, so they can't serve areas outside the DTLA even if you are in the same area code.
It would've been nice if they were more clear about the areas they serve, so the clients don't waste their time going through the hoops.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Jai C.Atlanta, GA585046Sep 18, 2020
Also known as DTLA Clean - this service was great when I first started using them in 2017. They had a special where you could just have your bathroom and kitchen cleaned at a really economical price ($50). In just a couple of years (2019/2020), they've gone up DRASTICALLY in pricing and no longer offer the bathroom and kitchen special that they once had. Its now a by the hour pricing.
They're ok when it comes to the cleaning (with a few misses here and there). I've had items broken and things such as the top of the refrigerator not wiped down, but the true downside is, the workers take a longer than necessary to clean, thereby increasing the cost up to double your budget because it takes them longer than necessary to clean. I paid over $200 for two cleaners to clean an empty 900 square foot apartment when I was moving out of my DTLA apartment recently. The cleaning was scheduled for an hour and a half which is more than enough time to clean an empty apartment (including the empty refrigerator). 1.5 hours turned into nearly three hours (for an entirely empty apartment).
A few other less than stellar things is that the person booking the workers often times would call/text at the last minute needing to change the time. Very inconvenient! On this last time, I was called/texted the night before the following morning's appointment and told that the workers needed to come an hour earlier; which on the day of the clean they were late and showed up at the time of the originally scheduled appointment. So I was extremely inconvenienced at the last minute in that I had to quickly rearrange my day to fit a new time when they didn't uphold their end of the bargain and showed up at the original time and I was not even offered a 10% discount for the inconvenience. I wasted an hour to accommodate them. To add to that, I was also, on a few occasions, texted as the appointments were coming to an end and told that they needed to add an extra time because they weren't done. I'm often working with a certain budget, but since they had my card on file they took liberties and often added the additional time + tip.
First of all I should decide the tip and whether I want to pay it based on the service provided. The experience was often sloppy and just wrong. Luckily I will NOT need to use Oranges and Lemons again because I no longer live in the serviceable area of downtown LA, but just a heads-up for those that still do...(1) do not leave a card on file [you can not delete it or your account yourself] and (2) demand that you determine the tip as well as whether you want to leave one at all due to the overall experience by both the cleaning staff as well as the person doing the booking. Last, good luck if you can't speak Spanish. Most of the cleaners speak absolutely no English so communicating directly with them can be a challenge when trying to communicate what is needed. I very often needed to communicate with the booker (via text), who then communicated with the cleaners. Its definitely not effective not being able to talk to the actual cleaners.Helpful 3Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Joanne O.Los Angeles, CA1197Oct 13, 2018
Broke my dryer and was in contact with their folks for a time to discuss repairs and then I was ghosted. Recently tried to book service and requested a discount to make up for the dryer repairs and they never reached back out to confirm appointment.
Stuff may break when strangers are cleaning your place. I have no problem with that, but just acknowledge and provide a discount on the next service and I'll be happy. Ignoring me was unprofessional.Helpful 7Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Jan 11, 2019
If you live in DTLA this company should clean your apartment. They were very professional and efficient. Prices for their professional service was fantastic. I could not believe how clean our place was. They brought their own cleaning supplies and managed to bring our place back to life. I wish I had before and after photos to show you how well they managed to clean our place. They paid close attention to detail unlike other cleaning companies and they even asked me to check and make sure they cleaned everything I asked for. Thank you for making our place shine once again!
