Old Pueblo Septic & Drain Service

Great clean out job by Billy today. He found our access plate to be rusted so he replaced it, pumped & washed the tank and took photos along the way to show us that it was done properly.

Billy from Old Pueblo Septic came today to pump my septic tank. Unfortunately, it took more than a bit of digging to find access! (I would have given up after 30 minutes of digging, but he persisted without complaint.) Got the job done and done right. He gets an A+ all around. Friendly, professional, courteous, knowledgeable, and a very hard worker. I highly recommend Old Pueblo and especially Billy.

Short version: The office staff provided excellent and courteous customer service, including a detailed quote on what I should expect in terms of cost. The technician (Alan) was on time, professional and knowledgeable, hard working, and quick, so much so, that the actual bill, based in part on hourly rates and my tank size, came in about 20% lower than the quote. Now that was a nice surprise.

Background: When a home with a septic tank is sold, the septic tank must be pumped out and a county-certified inspection report by a certified inspector filed with the county. For our home purchase, Old Pueblo Septic provided the septic inspection report. The report was detailed, well documented, and included drawings of where the septic tank lay in relation to the house. The quality and detail of the report left a favorable impression on me.

After about three years, Old Pueblo sent a card in the mail, suggesting it was time for septic service, and offering a discount. I know nothing about septic tanks. A quick Google search told me that septic tanks, depending on usage, and how faithful one is with the enzyme treatments, should be pumped out every three to five years. It was time.

I don't know much about septic systems and took the opportunity to observe. As he continued to work, Alan (the technician) was happy to answer my questions and explain the details of my particular system. So I learned something today, including the fact that the enzymes I've been using have not been effective. The right enzymes will break up the solid waste and improve the efficiency of the septic system. Geez. Based on what I could see (the evidence was not subtle), I had called Old Pueblo Septic just in time. I'm going to have to switch to another brand of enzyme, such as CCLS, which Old Pueblo Septic will sell you, but which can also be found on Amazon.

Bottom line: I'm really happy with Old Pueblo Septic and the service provided.

Caveats: none.

First time I personally got my septic drained here at this property, and I gotta say Old Pueblo did a great job at making it easy and no hassle Steven did an amazing job educating me throughout it all and getting it done in a timely and nice manner thanks again Steven!

My mother is an 86 year old woman. Has lived in her home over 50 years and has had the septic tank drained every 10 to 15 years. She called Old Pueblo Septic and drain service to drain her septic tank and they came out and stayed about 15 minutes and lied to my Elderly Mother, telling her that he had drained her septic tank. My mother continued to have problems with her toilet and showers backing up. She hired a plumber and the plumber said there was no issues with her plumbing. She hired another company to drain her septic and they came out and drained the FULL septic tank! She then called to speak to the owner of Old Pueblo Septic and drain service and they denied they ripped her off! They said they took pictures! Well we took pictures of the full septic tank! And Thank God we have a very successful attorney in our family! We are taking this company to court! We have proof that they took my Mothers $500 and never did the job my mother hired them to do! My advice to anyone who is looking for septic and drain service " DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY! ESPECIALLY IF YOU ARE AN ELDERLY PERSON!

I've seen alot of septic companies in my day, but this is a top notch company. They're very punctual, courteous and experienced. I really dont think there is a question that Amy, Scott, Zep or Celso in the office can not answer. In the field, there are technicians like Alan, Billy and Andrew that have seen it all. They can take situations that can be very scary, and walk you through them. Taking alot of uneeded stress out of the situation. Their prices are very good, competitive and well worth it. I am very grateful that I called Old Pueblo and would reccomend them to anyone for all their septic needs.

Billy was a hard worker and did a great job in finding a way to run the hoses to reach our tank without having to bring in extra hoses (at additional cost). A very professional operation. Highly reccommended!

For half of the 60 year life of our home, we've been using Old Pueblo Septic for periodic maintenance. They're always on time and always professional. Plus, it's nice to see a familiar face every five years. (Andrew: you're great!)

They came and drained my septic at a pretty high price as compared to other services. Also, there is no doubt in my mind that they introduced COCKROACHES into my septic system. Within a few weeks I was seeing them everywhere, the GREAT BIG NASTY ONES. I have NEVER EVER had roaches in my house in the 35 years I have lived here. I wish I could change them for the exterminator, as now they are here it seems impossible to be rid of them.

WILL NEVER USE THIS SERVICE OR RECOMMEND THEM TO ANYONE!!!
