    • Q:

Is there any entertainment during dinner? Years ago we went to a luau at the Polynesian, and were hoping to see a similar show.

      A:

When we went there was someone walking around playing a ukelele and depending where you sit you can see the fireworks at night

    • Q:

Is the grilled chicken boneless? Is there also wings available and can the spicy shrimps be altered?? Thx

      A:

The chicken is not boneless but it very tasty. There are wings available but are dry in comparison to the chimichurri chicken. The shrimp are not spicy to me at all.

      1 check-in

We snagged a late evening reservation for here at the last minute. Since we'd never been, we gave it a go. It's a "family style" restaurant, so the food is brought out to the table and you all share. You can get more of anything you like.

      Things to note:
      1) They have gluten free and plant based options
      2) The tables and chairs are big and spacious
      3) If you have a reservation - you go to the first check-in desk to let them know you're there - then you'll get a text to approach the 2nd hostess stand to be seated (the restaurant is on the second floor of the resort).
      4) You DO need a reservation - when you pull into the Polynesian, the gate guard asks for your name and checks that you do in fact have a reservation.
      5) The food comes out in stages - 1st) Salad and bread 2nd) Skillet with Ohana Noodles, Wings, Stir Fried Veggies and Dumplings 3rd) Teriyaki Beef, Sweet and Sour Chicken and Peel and Eat Shrimp 4th) Dessert - a huge bread pudding with vanilla ice cream.
      6) You can ask for more of anything you've been served - and if you have leftovers at the end, you can get to go boxes to take it home (TIP: if you love something in particular - say the noodles - finish up what you have and ask for more than take them to go).
      7) Our service was good and responsive and the food was delicious. There really wasn't anything we didn't like. Across the 3 of us, we liked everything. My personal favorite was the dumplings and wings and the dessert is amazing (I love bread pudding anyway, so a no-brainer for me)

It was $62 a person, not including drinks or gratuity. They do offer discounts for Veterans, and Disney Passholders (there may be another discount too). For passholders, it was 10%.

They have a person walking around playing Ukulele and singing.

The restaurant looks out over the lagoon and over to the Magic Kingdom, so if you're there at fireworks time, you probably can see them from the dining room.

The resort itself is really cool to walk around and take in the sites, with several gift shops.

Totally worth doing - but it was really expensive. For 3 of us with 1 alcoholic drink and 1 lemonade and tip it was mid $200s, but we're glad we did it. It's not something I'd jump to do again, since I already experienced it, but maybe for a special occasion/birthday.

Family style all you can eat. The food was good. The server was so much fun. I think it was over priced for children but what to expect for adults.

      In the Disney Polynesian Resort.

Worst meal (and most expensive) in our trip.

What happened? We used to love this place, but now the food is very "meh" and it's super pricey. $62?!?!?

The best part of our meal was the pot stickers. When those are better than the steak, shrimp and chicken (which I thought was nasty)... you're not getting your money's worth.

We will skip it on our next trip. Sad.

We had a wonderful Character Breakfast experience at Ohana restaurant in Disney's Polynesian Resort. The kids were excited to meet Lilo, Stitch, Mickey, Minnie, and Pluto.

One of the things I enjoyed about Ohana is that it's NOT a buffet. Everything is served at the table, family-style, and is all you care to eat, so you won't leave hungry. There is a wonderful variety or meats, breads, waffles, and other goodies so it's easy for everyone to find something they love. Even our kiddos found something to enjoy.

The staff was lovely and make sure we had everything we needed, and that we saw all the characters. Because it's not a buffet this breakfast doesn't have the chaos of some of the other character breakfasts where you have to navigate a lot of people up and moving through the space.

Ohana means family, and you'll definitely feel like part of the family when you visit the Polynesian.

Ambiance is super cute! This is an all you can eat sit down dinner - where they bring the food to the table. It was all good. My favorites were the noodles and the potstickers. The bread pudding dessert was the best! My coworker enjoyed her cocktail in a pineapple!

Longing for the islands of Hawai'i, I stopped in with my family at this popular gem in the Polynesian Hotel. This is an all you care to enjoy (a.k.a. Buffet) service. Food is served to you in waves much like the endless waves of the Hawaiian islands. Chicken wings, steak, chicken thighs with chimichurri sauce, Polynesian noodles, grilled shrimp, bread pudding, etc. something for everyone. Service team Denise and Cliff are fast, friendly and attentive. Dining is Disney casual. Entertainment by Kahleti was great to help drown the noisiness of the restaurant.
Family enjoyed our meal but feel that the recipe changes since our last visit were not great. Bottom line is that you can do better with so many other dining options when you weigh the high price, frantic Disney hoops to jump through for reservations, etc. service is Disney friendly so that helped.

This was the best valued food at Disney World that we have ever gotten! The amount of food you get and the quality is amazing. The price is reasonable and it is all you can eat. I absolutely loved the ambiance and the staff was super sweet. You can also take your leftovers home if you eat too much so no food goes to waste. The steak and noodles were my fav but I would eat everything again. The dessert that is included too is so so amazing. We will definitely be back!

I visited Ohana at Disney's Polynesian Village Resort and I can why this is a popular dining spot. The restaurant serves family-style, all-you-can-eat Hawaiian-inspired flares.

Getting a reservation at Ohana is challenging as it is one of the most popular dining experiences at WDW. Ohana is pricey, but its all-you-can-eat style makes it worth every cent.

My two favorite items on the menu were the Grilled Chicken with Polynesian-inspired Chimichurri Sauce and the pineapple pudding with caramel sauce. I'm still dreaming of the pudding, definitely one of the best I have had!

Honorable mentions: the noodles and dumplings. They live up to the expectations. All the dishes that we had were just wonderful except for the spicy peel-n-eat shrimp. It was missing flavor. I feel it was missing salt, garlic or something. Maybe I'm just trying to match the flavor of a similar dish I ate in Hawaii.

We didn't have any alcoholic drinks but we ordered the guava juice and it was the best. Order that one if you can.

Tip: If you can find an evening reservation, you can watch the Magic Kingdom fireworks from Ohana at 9:00 p.m.!

There's music and you can really feel the hospitality. After all, 'Ohana means family.

Birthday trip to Disney World was epic. I got to visit my nerd favorites and both my wife and I visited some really sought after restaurants.

'Obana is highly rated and located in the Polynesian Resort. We snagged a last minute early dinner reservation. Lines start to firm before their 4:30p opening. Tip: check in online versus standing at the check in desk.

Food is served family style. Non-booze drinks are included. I ordered a diet soda. We ordered a bottle of Sav Blanc to celebrate. They start with a very generous selection of appetizers: noodles, dumplings, veggies, and wings. Moving on to the main dishes: chicken thighs, steak medallions. Ask for more if you want! This was lots of food. The food was fresh and hot since we did arrive as the first diners. We ended with desserts! Lots of food again!

Service was the best. We really appreciated how responsive our server was. Lots of attention to us. She even served a nice platter of birthday treats: macaroon cookies and chocolates.

All you can eat dinning experience at one of the Disney resorts. This place is extremely popular and difficult spot to get reservations. I really enjoyed my dining experience it was enjoyable, but I'm not sure I would go again because for the price I'd rather enjoy a nicer meal somewhere else.

I think this place is very popular given that it's Disney property. I will say that I don't normally eat really big portions and they were extremely generous here. I ate so much I could barely walk after and we left 1/2 the food.

My favorite food items were the bread, salad, and chicken wing platter with then noodles.

The staff were extremely nice here and very attentive. There are multiple waiters per table and they keep the food coming. Although it's a more expensive restaurant the ambiance is very relaxed and family friendly.
