I lived there for 2 years. When covid hit they closed the office (no way to call or go in). Then they sold the place to a new management company. The office was still closed when I moved out the end of June. Also...they have not returned my security deposit and that is against Arizona landlord tenant law. It has been almost a month and they did not even send me a listing of possible damages. I don't think I damaged anything besides I did clean it and they are remodeling the whole place with new flooring, shades, appliances and sinks and counter tops. So a spotless clean wasn't necessary. Also to get a hold of maintenance is a pain. You have to do it by calling (california number) or email. The place itself isn't to bad it you don't mind the homeless sleeping on the upper level balconies, the neighbors fighting, the homeless at the near by park...the pool was only open for 1 month since I lived there and was still closed. The only bonus is the laundry room...as long as no left it open for homeless to sleep in. No grass in most of the common areas unless they finally got it landscaped. With no management on site...no one makes sure that the tenants follow the lease rules. (Drug dealers are present...I watched them move in.).
If you are low income it will be good for a springboard place but not to live long term. The regular price is not worth it.

I lived here for over 3 years and the previous management was great. A new company bought it just over a year ago called helpful housing. More like crooked housing. No one ever answers the phone, no on is ever in the office. They never ever answer the calls or return your phone calls! EVER! The only guy working there is the maintenance man who is so busy remodeling all the apartments he can't even get around to filling work orders. When it was cold I put in an order to get my heat fixed. They emailed me a month later asking if it still needed to be done. They have a cockroach and bed bug infestation. When I lived out I cleaned the apartment top to bottom. Filled in the holes with Putty. Left it in great condition. They are keeping my deposit and trying to charge me another $1200 dollars for COVID 19 protection equipment. Resurfacing bath tub, cleaning, fumigating which I did not have one bug in that apartment when moving out. Key fob which the apartments are ghetto. No fob was ever used. They are putting on anything they can. But are falsely creating work orders for the apartments when they are never done because they are gutting and remodeling every apartment as people move so it is all lies lies lies. They are dishonest thieving crooks who are trying to take advantage of low income individuals. Avoid this place like the plague itself. I will be taking them to court.not to mention the condition of the pool and the grounds, weeds everywhere it disgusting.

Always clean and it is in a great location. Railroad on Camelback and also on 19th ave are really convenient. Costco, Walmart, the movie theater and the bowling alley are within walking distance. All utilities are included in the rent and the price is lower than all the apartments around the area. I can't see why there would be negative reviews to this apartments.
