Oakleaf Cakes

They were wonderful to work with.

I needed a specialty cake for a last birthday for someone on hospice care.
When their medical team changed their timeline, Oakleaf, unbelievably, was able to still fulfill our order. I honestly didn't expect them to and would have been happy with something off the shelf.

They made the day extra special for the guest of honor and that means the world to us.

Ordering, payments, and all discussions were online, so that was incredibly convenient and they were very responsive.

Couldn't have been better.

I ordered a vegan chocolate cake for my best friend's birthday from Oakleaf Cakes and let me tell you, it may have been the best chocolate cake I've ever had. First of all, as a Chinese girl that grew up on Chinese bakery style cakes with whipped cream as frosting, regular frosting grosses me out. Might as well be eating spoonfuls of sugar, okay? But Oakleaf's buttercream frosting is PERFECT. So airy and not sweet, which is important to me. Then came the cake. Moist and chocolatey and I've never wanted to buy an entire cake for myself this bad. Definitely coming back to Oakleaf for future occasions.

The apple cupcake was very fall appropriate, with a little fondant leaf on top. It tasted great too! I usually don't like icing but I finished the entire cupcake by myself, icing included.

I also got an iced hazelnut latte. It was pretty good. I just wish it was slightly sweeter, but that's just because I have a major sweet tooth.

There are a few tables, but they are very close to each other. I came here to study while enjoying a cupcake and latte but I couldn't handle the noise level of the conversations near me so I had to leave.

Overall the pastries and drinks here are unique and worth the price in my opinion. Give it a try!

My first time here, I got my husband a latte. I left it on the table and he reheated it hours later and it was still great! I got a light roast and tried it black, the flavors were exactly like the description. We also tried a rhubarb custard danish and some other pastry with cream cheese and guava. Very interesting combinations but they were delicious. I also love that they're very covid mindful. There was 3 people inside so they politely asked us to wait outside. This will be my new coffee spot. #supportlocalbusinesses.

I reached out with probably one of the strangest requests for my boyfriend, and Oakleaf knocked it out of the park!! To take something as odd as sea cucumber and make it into a delicious work of art...I don't know how they did it!! Liz and the whole Oakleaf team, thank you, thank you, thank you!! We didn't break up, but I think more in love now!! I can't wait for his birthday cake next year!!

Thank you, Oakleaf Cakes, for making (baking!) our graduate's cake dreams come true! We were planning to be in Boston for an ad hoc grad party - covid protocol in mind - googled for beautiful and inspired graduation cakes and found Oakleaf. They couldn't have been nicer, more professional or collaborative. The cake was as delicious as it was spectacular! Not cheap but you absolutely get what you pay for. Well done, Oakleaf! Thank you!

I've been coming to Oakleaf regularly for upwards of 5 years. The staff is wonderful, kind, and accommodating. The pastries are delicious. The drinks make any morning better. I haven't had an occasion to try one of their larger, more elaborate cakes, but I got a small cake for a birthday. It was perfect! I'd love to keep this cafe all to myself, but honestly it's one of the best in Boston.

Awesome local cafe and bakery with great staff. For coffee orders, you can select different beans and it is made to order. While I have not ordered a full cake, the decorations and detail look incredible. I have had cupcakes and a number of different pastries (muffins, croissants, biscottis...) and they all taste so fresh. The cupcakes are very innovative, delicious, and moist. Their gingerbread house kit around the holidays is also cute, very well-done, and so good. Pre-pandemic they had amazing breakfast sandwiches and fresh squeezed OJ so I'm hoping once things go back to some sense of normal, they can bring those back.

Highly recommend!! I had reached out to Oakleaf for custom cookie request, and they made exceptional, very detailed, hand painted, beautiful and delicious cookies! My man designed limited edition shoes and I was able to surprise him with these cookies that showcased everything he designed in such beautiful detail! I worked with Oakleaf Cakes to create custom cookies for a virtual event. I didn't have a lot of time to work with and had to rush our (very large) order to meet the deadline and Oakleaf had no problem making it happen (thank you!). The cookies turned out even better than expected. Beautiful and tasty. Everyone LOVED them!! I highly recommend working with Oakleaf for events and especially custom orders.
