O'skis Pub & Grille

Fun neighborhood bar. Food was solid. Had a turkey sandwich w/ cheese and au jus. I was really hungry and this hit the spot. Prices were reasonable. Bella was the bartender server. She was very, friendly, welcoming & attentive. Will go back next time
i'm in Sparks.

Have lived in the area over 30 years & never have been to this bar, decided to try it out durig HAN, & get out of the heat.. Totally understand limited menu for special events etc..

Positive:
The bartender was friendly
AC was very high & cool inside
Not busy at all, even though it was HAN

Negative:
Slow service, extremely slow when they werent busy, staff seemed to assist " regulars" quicker than others

We ordered the Potato "SKINS". Took forever to receive them, bartender noticed they were given to another couple in error. We did not reveive Potato "SKINS". They were potato "WEDGES" like huge wedges/steak fries with cheese. All melted, semi fried together on a tin plate. Yes, there is a difference Huge difference between the two kind...They were good, but not as advertised. We wanted "SKINS" If we knew thats what they were we wouldnt of ordered them.

Plastic ware was given not sure if this was their norm or just during HAN. Plastic not our gig.

Bathroom was filthy.

Slow service for any refills or to get our check.

Not sure if we will go back, supposedly they have a normal good menu on other days, but looks like from other reviews that could be up for debate

This was our second time eating at O'skis pub and we truly enjoy the food. The atmosphere is cool and the waitress was so much fun. Our only complaint was the wait. It was evident that there was only one waitress/bartender for the entire room and she was busting her butt taking care of everyone. How she did it was beyond me, she must have been educated at Hogwarts or had Hermoine's time turner that allowed her to be at several places at once. I don't think she made one single mistake. She was amazing.

It did take forever to get the food, and the check afterwards. I despise that and it's been happening more and more regardless of the restaurant you go to. Prepare yourself for a long wait and whatever you do, don't go hungry or you will be hangry once the food arrives.

When hubs paid the bill he was told they were short handed that night (every business is nowadays) and that's what the delay was. I hope they get more help soon before she drops from exhaustion.

We will return but maybe not for awhile. I'd rather they fix their staffing issues first. Otherwise it was a good meal at a nice little place!

So I lived in the Boston area for 3 years from 2012-2015 and I grew to love all the Irish pubs in the North end. I've found a few good ones since we relocated to the Reno area but this one is by far my favorite! It's the most authentic and I felt like I was back in Boston the minute I walked through the door.
My rating is completely based on atmosphere, service and beverages since we didn't have food but I can't wait to return and try the fish and chips, shepherds pie and Reuben! Big Jack, Bubbles and Krystal (hope I got the names right!) were so much fun and very skilled. We had dinner reservations next door and stopped in for a quick drink but we couldn't wait to return for an after dinner cocktail when we were done with our meal.
They have a surprisingly good selection of wines by the glass and I had a great Pinot Grigio. When we returned after dinner I loved the authentic Irish coffee they served. We can't wait to return to this fun pub!

We visited O'skis pub on Saturday night during the Hot August Nights evening parade. I am being generous with the review because the staff was super kind and friendly. They kept checking up on us and made sure we were always good on drinks. We had to wait for over an hour for our food, which was mediocre. BUT, it was during an event and they were very busy out on the patio so I don't want to knock off too many stars for it.

Decided to visit O'skis on a very mellow Wednesday night. The bartender was quick and friendly and offered food upon us sitting down; we'd already had dinner so chose to skip it. Unfortunately, when drinks came they were still serving beer left over from St. Patrick's day and ingredients were missing from one of our drinks that they didn't have which was frustrating so the visit didn't last long. While tonight was very quiet the bar is usually very busy during St. Patrick's Day and when there are events happening on Victorian.

Don't go here on a concert night. You will be waiting forever!!!! Waitress was terrible, 45 minutes for a drink and over an hour for food. Food came, no napkins, ketchup. Asked the waitress, never came. TERRIBLE SERVICE!!!

Disappointed would be a kind word to use. It Was St Patrick's day. Order corned beef and cabbage for our party of three. Comes out on styrofoam dishes with plastic forks. When I saw that the corn beef was two slices in rectangular shape knew it was bad. It was probably bought pre-packaged from a food service company. Corn beef tasted like it was what a McDonald's hamburger. At least the beer was cold. Also, waitress was nice and all were dressed for holiday.

Well me and my friends came in here the other day and they are local but I am not. I did not know what to get on the menu but they were about to be closed so I made it quick and I got a half pound pub burger. The burger was pretty good not gonna lie in the fries were definitely really good as well as the coleslaw. The waitress who helped us out was super friendly and nice and I will definitely be back to try some more menu items!
