This is one outstanding restaurant in the middle of nowhere. You start by ordering at the counter, take a number tent, and food is delivered when it's ready. The knuckle sandwich that I tried has the best brisket I've ever chomped on. It is next level good. The accompanying beans, cowboy caviar, and potato salad were also spot on. I also splurged and got a small huckleberry shake, which is quite large. Again, super high quality and so, so good. All seating here is outside and covered. Pricing is steep with most items over $16 and closer to the $21 mark. Is it worth it? Yes, Yes it is. Honestly this is one of the better quality meals I've had in a while. Oddly, at a place you would never expect this kind of quality.

This is a must when looking for good food. Original menu( you will never see any of their items on any other menu,) fresh food, cooked to order. Enjoy the drive and the surroundings

Such a fun little place! We drove from Lake Bonaparte and it was a beautiful drive.
They have a huge selection of specialty milkshakes (brownie batter was incredible) and next time we will plan on coming for a meal.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Eric H.Moscow, ID051Jun 23, 2023
This place is amazing. Beautiful setting, super friendly staff, amazing food and shakes. Save half your meal for later if you have to, but for the love of all that is good and right ORDER A SHAKE. And their baked beans. I didn't try the coffee, but everything else was held to high standards, so I expect they do it right.
I drove about an hour to get there, and YES it's worth it.

What a great place. It's a little off the beaten path but so worth the drive. Food is all scratch made and the shakes are to die for.

Not Doug's Knuckle Sammish is the best brisket sandwich I've ever had and the sides are amazing. Everything fresh and homemade. Staff very friendly and helpful. It's like a five star kitchen fell from the sky and landed in the middle of nowhere. Prices are actually quite reasonable considering they could easily charge three times as much in some major city and the scenery is sure a lot nicer.
If you are ever in the area and don't check this place out you are depriving yourself of a truly awesome meal.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Kathleen T.Oroville, WASep 16, 2024
We drove out there today for the 3rd time, definitely worth the drive. Previously we have been here for breakfast, but felt we needed to try lunch before they close for the season. Between four of us we had three sandwiches; the meatloaf, the brisket and a deli. We also had an order of nachos, and three milkshakes. Everyone loved their order, service is exceptional, friendly and staff all seem eager to please. It was a beautiful day for the drive and to enjoy the outdoor seating, but they pack orders in to go boxes so you can easily take it with you or eat in your car to keep bees at bay.

Maybe the best off the grid breakfast and lunch spot in the middle of nowhere. Off the beaten path but worth the experience.
