Really nice hospital in the main areas. It's a nice warm feeling and not cold white industrial walls.
Parking is all separated per area which makes it a bit easier to navigate where your going. With so many different areas of the hospital, be sure to get the exact floor your in. Parking is paid only so bring your card with you.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - 6192871480Mar 10, 20241 check-in
Decent hospital with pleasant staff: I was visiting my sister in the labor and delivery department. Parking was easy and not overly crowded.

THIS REVIEW IS ABOUT NORTHSIDE RADIOLOGY ASSOCIATES.
I would give Northside Radiology Assoc a ZERO if I could. I don't understand why I keep writing and still have been unable to get a bill corrected . I continue to talk to your customer service department in Taiwan/Philippines and they say it is being escalated but again its been 8 months. I am writing regarding acct# NRAA349024- You sent a bill saying the patient balance due was $247.00. I paid the bill on Nov 11, 2023 for services in Aug 2023 not realizing that the bill and amount were incorrect. I have tried since Nov to get my claim billed correctly to BCBS. I have spoken to 10 people who all say the claim is being refiled for the physician charges. BCBS is denying the claim as a duplicate because instead of billing the correct CPT code and charge (for the physician charges), you continue to send the same information to BCBS ( the charge for the xray itself) therefore it being denied There were 2 separate charges for the biopsy/xray and only one has been paid. I am requesting that you bill the physician charges to BCBS and refund my money that I paid you in error. BCBS will pay the bill once it is filed and there will be a refund. I have been trying to get this corrected for 8 months- This is ridiculous and I have been unable to get this corrected.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Susan F.Canton, GA1288Mar 25, 2024
to have any procedure in the Atlanta location of this hospital system, is extremely stressful and painful. you can't get out of "admissions" which is just their financial people threatening to cancel your procedure if you don't pay off an estimate. Who in the world is dumb enough to pay from an estimate? We have insurance for a reason and they dictate the amounts allowed to be charged. This is why you wait for your EOB before you pay a dime.
They bully you, make you late for your procedure, which could be cancelled if they can no longer fit you in, irritate and pass you around to many people until you demand the procedure or call your insurance company who then calls the hospital telling them they must perform the test. NEVER pay from an estimate and do not let them bully you. this truly needs to be reported to someone who cares, instead of these dumb folks trying to force their "policy" down my throat so they may get accolades or rewards. you customer is your patient, keep treating them like this and you won't have any patients left.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - LaTanza J.Hapeville, GA02Mar 26, 2024
This hospital is intentionally placing selective employees on an employment blacklist. I have seen black people protesting with poster boards displaying "Boycott against Northside Hospital."
This hospital tried to terminate my employment after informing my department manager in writing of my pregnancy. I filed EEOC claim, case was injustly mishandled and now it's very challenging for me to find employment. I have had many companies interested in hiring me. But I don't get hired.
On March 25th, 2024 I was told that I have been blackballed in employment by Northside Hospital. This was told to me by a company who was in the process of hiring me but couldn't move forward.
My Constitutional Rights are deliberately being violated! I have written numerous letters to Justice organizations requesting for help.
Whoever is behind the negativity on destroying my life, has wrote a book using my legal name titled "LaTanza Johnson Hell Nawl." These people are powerful and has negative energy. I have done nothing wrong. I'm not the one, there are others who have been unjustly blacklisted in employment after separating from this hospital. This is unfair, wrong and unjustly.
I was threatened and told over the phone, "we gone show you who we are. I was kicked out of my then Bank of America without explanation. Phone calls are being listened to, emails are being invaded and deleted by someone who is using government technology tools to do so. This should not be happening at all. This needs to be on the News.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Matt H.San Francisco, CA119226Sep 1, 2022
If you are in an emergency it might suit you best to find another hospital. We came in last night with a family member who was deathly sick and we did not know exactly what the situation was. The ER dept took him, placed him in a waiting seat, and then denied us entry to sit with him or to receive updates on his condition. After 4.5 hours, he has been asleep on a waiting bench, alone, without being seen. We ended up having to go inside and pulling him out of the ER because we decided it would be better for him to at least be at home in his bed rather than alone, trying to sleep on a bench.
Can you imagine if this was a worse situation??? And the best case solution is going to be to remove a loved one from ER than allow them to stay and be cared for? Avoid this hospital at all costs.Helpful 8Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - 1585972003Aug 5, 2022
I was a visitor at Northside hospital for 4 days and I was very impressed by this hospital. They are on top of their hand hygiene which I appreciate! The majority of the staff are amazing. The nurses on the 8th floor were top notch. My friend was a bit high maintenance one of the days I visited. They never appeared to get frustrated. They were always so professional and pleasant.
Northside monitors patients movement in their bed to prevent falls by having a bed alarm if they try to get out. While a little sensitive the safety it provides was great.
The care that my friend received was very through. They wanted to be sure they ruled out a stroke as he continued to have the symptoms. Their attention to detail was impressive. The doctors also cared about his discharge planning ... they wanted to be sure he could safely get home (he had to fly home). What MD cares about that?
I highly recommend this hospital for your healthcare needs.
PS: the Emergency Department process was difficult but there isn't a ED in this country that isn't dealing with the same thing. The throughput of all EDs need to be reevaluated. No one should wait hours to be seen.Helpful 6Thanks 0Love this 7Oh no 1 - Mark F.Atlanta, GA1513Jan 11, 2024
I just had elective back surgery at Emory and they provided a detailed estimate of all charges before the procedure. My dog was neutered and I was provided with a detailed estimate of charges in advance. My wife is having surgery at Northside but they do not provide a detailed estimate of charges, only a lump sum estimate of what they think the we'll have to pay. So, I asked, "if you can give a lump sum estimate of what you think we'll have to pay, show me the detailed estimate of all of the charges the lump sum is based on." "We don't do that" they said. So, think about it. If they end up charging us more than the lump sum, how are we going to know if it is legitimate given we don't know what it was based on in the first place? I didn't think this type of non-disclosure was legal. In any case, for future needs, we will not use any doctor that does their work at Northside.

I came in to the ER spasming and near convulsions with a broken and misaligned spine and scared to death as to what was wrong with me. This hospital treated me like I had a drinking problem. My potassium and magnesium levels were extremely low adding to my spasms as I spent the summer outside working in extreme heat. You will die before this hospital will help those in need. They gave me no help but charged me over 60,000 in hospital bills.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - May 25, 2023
This may sound weird but I had an amazing surgery experience at Northside Hospital (at least before and immediately after the surgery). I'm not local to the area and was able to complete pre-registration and my surgery pre-assessment before arriving to the area. The pre-registration was slightly confusing because I completed it online and never received confirmation. After emailing several times, I was told to call and basically had to do it again. The morning of the surgery, everything was quick and efficient. All of the nurses and staff were great and really made me feel at ease. When I woke up from anesthesia, a nurse was right by my side the entire recovery. I'm sure most people don't want to eat after surgery, but I did and was only given crackers and apple sauce. I was not happy about that. I asked the nurse for more food and he told me that dinner was over, but he'd check to see if he could get me a plate. Well I never heard from him again after that. The shifts changed several times during my overnight stay and some nurses were better than others. They should work on being more consistent so that patients will have a better experience. Overall, I felt like I was in and out in no time. Hopefully I'll never have to, but I wouldn't hesitate to come here again.
