Is this a pet friendly place?
A:
They have an area that would be cool to sit outside, but I don't think they have any chairs or tables set up. Definitely not pet friendly inside. Maybe service dogs but you would have to check. It's a pretty nice restaurant inside.

We ordered to-go today. We wanted to try a restaurant that we wouldn't have near us in California. We found Nola's. We loved it when you walked into the bar downstairs; it had a really cool, calm vibe that could be reminiscent of the prohibition era. Unfortunately, we did not order drinks because we took our food to-go.
We ordered three orders of the beignets to share. We ordered the Cocodrie Fried Alligator to share. For entrees, we ordered the DEEP-FRIED BABY BACK RIBS, FETTUCCINE O'FREDO, KID'S FETTUCCINE ALFREDO, and the HAUNTED HOUSE SALAD.
I ordered the HAUNTED HOUSE SALAD because I knew that I would eat beignets and I didn't want to overclog my arteries. The Haunted House Salad was not exactly what I expected because I had to pull out wilted leaves, and the tomato and cucumber were not so fresh, but the croutons were delicious, and I rarely eat croutons.
The beignets were very dense, but we drove for 12 minutes after the food was ready to take home. My nephew loved the fried alligator, but I think that I like the fried alligator pizza in San Francisco better than eating it fried.
The girls felt that the mac and cheese was good. So, we will have to try this restaurant again when we come back to OK.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Melinda P.Village, OK012Mar 14, 2024

My server tonight, Aaron, was amazing! He was super attentive and personable. The menu selection was incredible, and I ordered the ratatouille which was delicious. I think the prices were a little high but you really get a wonderful experience at a great restaurant. Despite how fancy the restaurant looks, the dress code is super casual -- some people were wearing t-shirts and shorts even! The chocolate cake for dessert was also delicious -- definitely enough to share with 3-4 people. I'll definitely be back for a nice date night or celebration!

I love Nola's. I've been for dinner several times, but today was my first time for brunch. It's always delicious. The brunch menu is unique! Our server was nice, and I was surprised we had no wait for patio seating on such a nice Saturday at noon. I love the speakeasy, low lighting inside for dinner dates. It's just a gem of a spot for Tulsa.

We ordered the queso with crawfish to start. It was okay and fresh served with chips.
For entree we had the lump crab with grits and fried green tomatoes. With a cup of gumbo to share. The fried green tomatoes were my favorite with the lump crab cakes second and cheese grits third. Unfortunately the Gumbo was the least favorite. The fried green tomatoes had a crispy breading and good seasoning. The crab cakes could use a toastier sear and grits were just right how they were. The food meets the bar but nothing exceptional in flavor. We did go during lunch and the happy hour menu offers great drinks at half price. The service was exceptional as soon as we walked in and our waitress friendly and attentive. The ambiance transfers you to an intimate feeling with vintage decor. I would have given them 3.5 starts but more for the service and ambiance.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Jan 1, 2024
I decided to try this tonight. I got the cup of gumbo, alligator, beignets, and scotch eggs as, out of those, I had only ever tried alligator when I went to Florida.
The gumbo was absolutely delicious. Great spice, delicious combination of flavors. 5/5.
Unfortunately, that was the best part. The scotch eggs were fine but underwhelming, and the beignets and alligator both didn't have much flavor, but they were cooked/baked very well, and the beignets did have a nice sweetness.
The alligator was very tender and juicy, but quite bland.
I'll be back to try other items.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0
