I was so excited I didn't even get to take a picture of my ice cream! They take both cash and card, with a charge.
I tried passionfruit as well as soursop, the passionfruit was a lot creamier than the soursop, which seemed more like a sorbet texture. I do enjoy the unique flavors and menu items here, next time I'll have to get a mangonada!Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 1 - 527378Jan 9, 2023
The service was good.
The ice cream was awful, it had no flavor and it tasted old.
Don't waste your money here.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0Business owner information

Hi Liliana! Thank you for your review. Sorry to hear you did not enjoy the ice cream. If you can let me know which flavors you tried, that would be super helpful to us. We try to keep not add too much sugar to our ice creams but sometimes miss the mark. We’ll have to take a look at whichever ice cream it was that you tried. Thank you in advance :)

We arrived just after they had closed and the man was so kind he let us in and said we could order anything although you could clearly see they were all cleaned up. He even went as far as to make me a fresh lemonade with chia seeds. While he was making it his daughter and another woman arrived surprised to see customers given the time and they too were too kind. The daughter quickly jumped behind the counter and offered to open up all the ice cream lids to see if any looked more delicious. Customer service amazing, very clean, DELICIOUS ice cream and the prices compared to other similar locations are unbeatable. Parking is a little tricky but oh so worth it! Try the mango and maracuya you won't regret it. Will be returning to satisfy these cravings for sure! Thank you guys!

My Mangonadas were delicioso! The mangoes were great-a balanced mixture of texture soft and firm
Mangoes. The owner and staff are nice and they are good to their customers. I appreciate their professionalism. When I am back in town, I will visit again. Oh!, I love bubble gum ice cream and their ice cream is really good. Thanks GrisHelpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Business owner information

Hi Trena! Just following up on our conversation from two weeks ago. (not able to send this as a PM.) let me know when you want to come in for a mangonada re-do! :)
Jun 18, 2022Previous reviewI sent my two children to go purchased 5 mangonadas and the mango was hard and unripe. That is horrible that they sold my children mangonadas with hard unripe mangoes. This is NOT how you should treat a customer. I tried calling and no one answered the phone and I was not allowed to leave a message. I wasted $40+ dollars and this business Should do the right thing, by answering the phone, give me a big discount if I come again, or give me my money back. I would appreciate it the business owner sends me a message to solve this problem. There are 4 mangonadas pictured, due to my family member taking on of the 5, that was purchased home.

At first I was a bit confused where they are located. It's inside the Fruitvale public market.
On a Sunday afternoon the wait was about 10-15 minutes. The parking was a bit of a hassle since it's street parking but was able to find parking down the street.
I ordered a small mangonada which by far has been the best I've tried. Also since it's mango season the fresh mango was perfect. I also decided to try the Tejuino it's a beverage but It wasn't what I was expecting.Helpful 4Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0 - Feb 9, 2021
Located in the fruitvale public market building, this business sells ice cream, sorbets, and snow cones.
You can find metered street parking nearby.
I had intended to come here for the Diablito snow cone, but got the mango sorbet instead. A small cup comes with two scoops and was $3.00.
They accept credit cards but will charge an additional fee.
Pros:
-friendly staff
-handmade and 100% natural

This place is really good! I got the Rose Petal and Guava Ice Cream and it was refreshing and light the Guava still had the seeds the quality is great! To top it off the young lady that waited on us had a really good vibe one that makes you want some Ice Cream - my husband was undecided (after choosing Pistachio) he saw all the flavors and wanted to change he chose Prickly Pear (cool color) she encouraged him to try it first and good thing she did he didn't like it and she chuckled (she probably figured that) she could have served it up and let us leave but she didn't and I appreciated that! Give this place a try you won't be disappointed!

Today, I took the Bart over to Fruitvale Station Oakland, CA.
I was visiting a California historic home and after I was done, I went over to the market near Fruitvale station. I stumbled upon Nieves Cinco De Mayo in Oakland.
That means that in half a year, I visited the two Nieves Cinco De Mayo ice cream shops in the Bay Area.
This is a special ice cream shop in the Bay Area. It's the Latin ice cream shop. They have a very unique assortment of flavors. Today I had the dulce caramel and it was different. It was in a cone for $2 and the agua fresca guava flavor was $2. It's pretty inexpensive. It was a nice refreshing cold treat to end my visit in Oakland by the...Fruitvale station.

I've only had the bionico here, but it was really good so I'd go back. Also because it looked like they have some good ice cream flavors! Parking was a pain on a weekday afternoon and the place itself was a bit hard to find. There's a churro stand on the outside, go through the door next to it and it'll be on your left.
