Looked at the website menu and even though they have terrible reviews on both TripAdvisor and yelp decided to give it a try because it is the only restaurant open on Sundays within walking distance of our hotel. The menu had quite a few Italian entries and dinners, howeverWhen we arrive they only were serving a limited menu, which consisted mostly of sandwiches quesadillas and bar food not the dinners we saw online. We decided to go with a pizza which they had featured on their menu . We were told we could only have that to go and were not permitted to eat it on the premises. WHAT?????? That's insane, the server was rude and on that note we stood up and walked out. I will never go there again , they are really in need of an overhaul on service, menu and hospitality.

Dear Guest,
Though we advertise a limited menu during some special event weekends, we are sorry this information was miscommunicated. Our flatbread selection on the menu is not offered during these special events due to the configuration of the kitchen in executing our menus. On these occasion, we offer traditional round pizzas to go for guests to take to their rooms or hospitality areas. We are sorry to hear our server was not hospitable. We are working diligently to assemble a service team of friendly and professional team members and have a new menu rolling out early next week
We hope you may reconsider another try.
Sincerely,
Angela Kearney - Oct 21, 2023
Coming through Indianapolis on a cross country trek, we ordered takeout from Nicolino's. The gentleman I talked to and placed our order with was very friendly. Having celiac disease, I ordered gluten free pasta with a grilled chicken breast as a substitute to the usually breaded chicken that came with chicken Parmesan. I got pretty sick from the cross-contamination of other gluten-containing products in my food.
My mother has just a gluten allergy, and spoke to a friendly bartender inside the restaurant (it's connected to a hotel). She did not get sick from her fettuccini Alfredo with gluten free pasta.
We both had a side Caesar salad. Those were good, (no croutons of course) but they don't offer anchovies. Sad. Lots of dressing on them and they were clearly tossed (so good for that).
So yes, overall not the best if you have celiac disease. But it was decent food in a pinch, and staff are super friendly. I would not return given my personal predicament. The place was clean and well-maintained. We both wished we had just stayed and sat at the bar for drinks tooHelpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - 1797621435Oct 19, 2021
We could not find anywhere downtown and somehow managed to end up here. It was confusing how to get in the restaurant Bc there was a gate and it was closed. Someone in the lounge finally yelled that we enter through there.
Our table was right by the bar and let's just say the patrons had very colorful language. It was also extremely loud.
They don't have a huge menu but what they had was pretty good. I had the Pesto Pasta. It did have a lot of flavor and I actually had leftovers.
Not sure if I would come here again just based on the odd placement of the restaurant.Helpful 3Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Aimee C.Memphis, TN023111Mar 24, 2021
Ordered the "fettuccine" Alfredo with "grilled" chicken. I put it I quotations because they used spaghetti noodles, sauce was watered down and unflavored. The chicken looks "grilled" but it tasted more burnt than anything. I also ordered a side Caesar salad which is the only thing that was good. Even the garlic bread was overcooked. Only reason ordered from here was because I'm staying at the hotel and too lazy to go back and complain but will definitely not be ordering from here, nor do I recommend it. They get two stars because Staff was nice and order was ready for pick up pretty quickly. Burger King makes better Italian food.

Since I was hotel hanging yesterday, we decided to check out Nicolino's for lunch. I never know what to expect at restaurants but I go in with an open mind.
We decided to do the Buffett, and I'm not mad at my decision. They had 2 types of pizza which was your standard cheese with veggies and then a tad more adventurous one that had a variety of toppings.
The salad bar had a good deal of options and soup choices to.
You could also select pasta to be made to order, which pasta anything is a win in my book.
I went with a slice of the cheese, peppers and sausage pizza, the chicken broccoli soup, and then linguine with tomatoes, mushroom, garlic, pesto and hot pepper flakes. It was delicious! I was impressed at the combination and the fact that the chef made it spicy was very appreciated. Over all your standard hotel restaurant but it was clean and the staff was friendly and accommodating.Helpful 3Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0 - Ericka D.Indianapolis, IN1355651219Nov 30, 2018

Dear Erika,
Thank you for sharing your feedback on your recent dining experience. The calamari is one of our signature dishes and we are thrilled that you like it as much we do! I have shared your comments with our culinary team to let them know our guests are enjoying this menu item.
We hope to serve you again in the near future.

I had low expectations dining here late one week night. The hotel lobby was being remodeled, and the dining room was closed. We had to eat in the bar. That being said, it was comfortable and the waiter was attentive.
We split a large salad and chicken Parmesan. The salad was fresh, crisp, and had a variety of items in it. The chicken was tasty, and the serving was large enough to give both of us plenty to eat.
We also ordered the banana cake pudding that we were told was house made. It was a great finish to the meal.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Joe R.Beavercreek, OH44296182Apr 22, 2018
Ill start off by this review is from Sept 2017.
This was by-far the worst service I have ever had. They had a convention in town and the menu was reduced to a few items or the buffet. Wife ordered a drink and the waitress walked away and didn't take my drink order. When she came back with drink she asked if we were ready to order and we said no because we hadn't decided if the buffet was going to be worth it. As I was saying I would like to order a beer the waitress just walked away. She didnt come back for about 15 minutes so when she did, we asked for our check. She wasn't happy (although not rude) and gave us a check that wasn't accurate. A jack and coke was written up as 1 Open Liquor (3.00) and 1 Ice Tea (2.95). We paid cash, 6.50 and left.
The next morning (0330) we had a 25.99 charge to our room from the restaurant. I challenged the charge and the shift manager made it right. He was very professional and apologetic. Ill review the hotel also, but the hotel was good. Only bad thing was the restaurant.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Kathy B.Colorado Springs, CO09Jul 15, 2022
Food was fine. Nothing to write home about. Staff was friendly and attentive. Convenient if you're staying in the hotel.

Reading the reviews from 2014 are still useful for this restaurant. I ordered room service twice. Got the food in a reasonable time frame both times.
First night I ordered chicken parm. Got it and the first thing I went for was a bite of pasta. While twirling my pasta onto my fork the breading came off of the chicken. It was like a soggy diaper and barely any chicken under all that breading.. tasted like a can of hunts marinara sauce. And they want to charge 15$ for this
Second night. I was like okay maybe I shouldn't order pasta or anything Italian from this "Italian restaurant."
I ordered the chicken strips and a side Caesar salad.
The salad was so wilted and I pulled brown piece after brown piece of lettuce out. There was absolutely no crunch to the salad..the chicken strips all breading no meat.
So moral of my story for you is go to their 24 hour cafe in the hotel. The pre-made food they have to sell is way better than any of the food I've gotten from this restaurant.
Also I find this HILARIOUS..
Whoever is in charge of the restaurant will only respond to good feedbackHelpful 2Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - WestValleyMomma M.Phoenix, AZ01Jun 26, 2022
I honestly can't comment on the food because I didn't eat there, but we sat at the bar and the bartender was great! She was very attentive and made the best drinks! Her upbeat personality made me want to come back again.
