Prefect cuts time and time again!
Jim and team alway deliver the best.
Jim completes a perfect razor every time.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0Jun 3, 2017Previous reviewtime again for the 4 week appointment, as usual the best razor cut in St. Louis. Jim knows how to cut your hair and always asks if you want something outside the usual. Today I learned that on the 7th of June Jim will have been cutting hair professionally for 50 years. This shop and their services continue to be the standard of which all others aspire to emulate.
Congrats on 50 years Jim!Dec 10, 2016Previous reviewJim and his team of professionals will deliver the best cut in a traditional shop setting. Great haircut, great conversation and true professionals. My sons and I and have been going there every 4 weeks for just over 4 years and always receive top service and the best haircut.

Hours listed on Yelp are incorrect. They close at 4.
Letting others like me who try to use tech know so you are not also inconvenienced.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Chris L.Creve Coeur, MO01Jan 5, 2022
Can't beat Nicoletti's.
Of the very few remaining, true barberships, this is the one that consistently delivers.
Whatever experience you're looking for:
- that old school shop (genuine conversation, laughs, being treated as a friend)
- the straightforward cut (tailored, efficient, and made based on your choices and hair type)
- quick drop in on a business trip (met with open arms from the midwesterners)
The team at Nicoletti's welcomes and appreciates all.
Been in the chair with Jim and the guys for many years and look forward to the years to come.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Bill S.Saint Louis, MO25483Jul 3, 2011First to Review
If you're looking for an old school barber shop, this is the standard by which all barber shops should be judged in St. Louis.
This isn't some low-end, wait for the next chair kind of place, nor is it a "who cares what you look like" unisex joint like Great Clips or Fantastic Sam's. This is a real barber shop. For guys!!!!!!
Jack Buck was a regular here. Stan Musial and Red Schoendienst are still regulars here. Many of St. Louis' top business owners and personalities frequent Nicoletti's because they understand service and cut hair properly.
A couple of years ago, I decided to go retro and get a flat top. After getting butchered by a couple of shops and having people tell me "we just don't know how to do a flat top right," I got a tip on Nicoletti's. No one but Jim Politte will ever touch my hair again.
From great conversations, to a big screen TV that's either playing sports or classic "guy movies" (think everything from action adventure to John Wayne to The Stooges), to shoe shines to manicures for guys, Nicoletti's is a throwback to when cutting hair and personal grooming were considered skilled trades, rather than merely jobs.
So forget the chains, forget the hackers and forget all the frilly places that have popped up over the years. Go to Nicoletti's. You'll enjoy the cut, the straight razor shave and most of all the company. I now have more than a barber, I have a friend who cuts my hair -- and that's life as it should be!Helpful 4Thanks 0Love this 3Oh no 0 - Russ W.Kirkwood, Saint Louis, MO272057Oct 27, 2014
Obscure location, not easy to find for first-time guests. Small, but redeeming qualities, once inside. It looked like an old-school barber shop, it was closer to home, and that's what I was looking for... After my visit, I realized that what I was really looking for was an old-school barber shop, closer to home, AND cuts my hair the way I asked.

A quality barber shop. The barbers have been here for years. The customers seem to be repeats. They cut your hair the way want. You need an appointment here. I have never seen a walkin. They do a big business.
