The restaurant takes reservations fro 10 or more guests over phone call. Otherwise there is plenty of seating for smaller parties.

      What time is happy hour?

      A:

Nick's Cove isn't currently doing happy hour but it is something that the management team is talking about bringing back once all of the details are worked out.

      Very enjoyable and relaxing!!!!!

Nick's Cove was a nice place to stop while traveling on Highway 1 through Marshall CA. This is the heart of Oyster Country and definitely worth a visit.
We were looking for some local comfort food and nick's was a perfect choice. Started with a nice cocktail and then ordered the Fried Monterey Calamari and the Steamed Artichoke..... yummmmm.. followed by Hamachi Crudo and fish and chips. We had a great time enjoying the scenery of the sunset and immersing ourselves into a good meal.

Real nice time at Nick's and good food as well.

Just ate an early dinner at Nick's Cove in Marshall, Ca., near Pt.Reyes. Let me begin it is a destination restaurant as there aren't any other restaurants or shops nearby, it is right on beautiful Highway1 .
We go to that beautiful area for hiking near or walking right along the ocean, so we drive over, appx 30 -45 minutes from the ocean, next to Tomales Bay(views in pictures)
Okay food, with chef Constantino now at the helm the food is elevated in flavor and quality of products but you can order comfort food , for example Fish and Chips! Oh, crab rolls. Hubby ordered a cheeseburger and fries . Let it be known we rarely eat beef but we decided to try it. Great burger w/ a white cheddar cheese that played very well with the beef... so juicy! The picture you see is the crab roll. Albeit very good and good amount of crab meat it was too mushy with the mayo maybe even a tangy almost tzatziki mix? Don't get me wrong. It was really good but just a little bit too much of the mayo mixture. When we go again, I will definitely try the fish and chips. Very casual place, hiking wear and tennis shoes "friendly". Outdoor seating, heat lamps
Service: fine, regular dudes that live nearby getting the job done, friendly enough
Ice big fireplace inside, I think they only turn it on at dinner service not sure

What a gem of a coastal stop! Beautiful dining room on Tomales Bay. The food is fabulous. Chioppino is better than any in SF and every fresh fish dish is delectable! We always try their specials.

Great staff, fast service and wonderful desserts. Big bonus is that they are currently sponsoring 12 CA artists for inspiring stays. The opening reception was wonderful. Best seafood in Marin. Best beautiful restaurant location on the near coast.

Great shrimp tacos, great views of the water, and a great time! This is one of my favorite places to stop on a drive to Pt. Reyes. It's the best on a sunny day to enjoy outside. It can get very chilly during the winter months. We only tried the fish tacos, they were tasty and hit the spot. We only stopped for a light meal, and luckily we made it right before the weekend afternoon rush.

Nicks Cove is definitely a must-visit just to enjoy the views! Looking forward to visiting the next time I take a road trip to this super cute town.

We had dinner along the Tomales Bay this past weekend and the setting was easily 5 stars. A lovely pier stretching over the water, plenty of waterfront seating, including in the boat shack at the end of the pier (by reservation). There's even a piano out there to play or enjoy some live music! And great views of Duck Island and Hog Island in the distance. Just a unique atmosphere with great decor and tons of character. There's plenty of seating inside the restaurant too, as well as at the bar.

You pay and order at the front near the entrance, then seat yourself anywhere inside (outdoor seating is either by reservation or there may be a wait time), and they bring your food/drinks to your table. Service was pretty standard, nothing really noteworthy.

Apparently they have a new menu, but also a limited menu. Nonetheless, we found a few items to try. Fries With Eyes (smelts), Mussels and Sausage (with yummy aioli), Strawberry Shortcake, and for drinks, the Respite, and Phantom of the Guava. The drinks were pretty good, the food wasn't extraordinary, but still of good quality. I liked the dessert the best, with fresh strawberries and light whipped cream. Overall a one-of-a-kind experience in a beautiful coastal setting.

A large venue restaurant in Tomales Bay, good to book for an event. Highlight is definitely the pier with outside seating and a cozy covered area at the end of it.

Order at the counter and food didn't take long to arrive. Market Salad was ok. BBQ'ed oysters were good, on the small side. Portion for calamari was so small, I didn't take a photo.

Point Reyes is great for travelers looking to spend a day outdoors. You'll have a very relaxing time hiking the trails and relaxing on the beaches-even just driving through the parks - is very scenic. Along the way the city of Marshall resides.

My partner mentions his colleagues said we should stop at Nick's for lunch. Upon entering, I see a window where patrons are ordering. Walked inside and the lady mentions you'll need to come outside and order and then sit down and pick up your food. Kinda odd why the establishment would have it that way.

Anyhoot, oysters, clam chowder, and fish and chips were mediocre. Oysters were fresh as they should be, but the rest was nothing special.

Although the food can be a bit more on the expensive side, the scenery, ambiance, and fresh seafood make Nick's Cove a must-visit for those on their way to more northern destinations such as Fort Bragg. Equally important, especially for a 4-5 hour trip such as Fort Bragg, Nick's Cove offers the necessary rest for bathroom breaks and also a reliable place for WiFi, where mobile signals may be weak during your travel.

For food, I recommend trying their famous Fish and Chips and also the calamari. The lobster roll is good but not great in terms of value (the portion is quite small with not much lobster meat). The clam chowder may taste a bit bland at first but is seasoned quite right the more you taste it. Mostly, the ambiance of this place is great along with the food. Highly recommend at least trying once on your way north.

Stayed in the Nicolina cottage on the water and LOVED IT.
if you stay here, make sure you read the book in the room that explain the history of this room and board-helped me appreciate it more, especially since the original owner is a fellow Croatian (from a town between Split and Dubrovnik).
Room service was amazing and the staff are genuinely nice.
The view is unique and beautiful, sunrise to sunset.
About a 7 hour drive from us, and worth it.
