Ney Silverman Insurance Associates

My mother has had her homeowners' & personal items (jewelry/etc.) insurance with this company for eons and they've always been great to deal with (I've been handling her bills for the past few years). I've always spoken to Donna, who is a *very* nice and helpful person. I highly recommend this insurance agency.

The owner Mr. Silverman told my husband and I to "look to another broker" for all of our policies after working with Ney-Silverman for 8+ years of Homeowners, Property, Health, Professional Liabiliy and Worker's Compensation for our small business, all because we opted not to use him for our Life Insurance which he was trying to up-sell us on. He would not take the time to answer questions in an email, but insisted we call. Running a small business does not allow a lot of extra time for listening to sales pitches. I have never been treated so unprofessionally in my life.

This is an unusual review, in that I am attesting to personal qualities, that Mr. Silverman is a very kind and ethical person. I learned this when my car backed into his car in a parking lot, my rear view having a blind spot. I had no idea he was an insurance agent until later. He was a true gentleman throughout. He had his car checked by his auto body shop, called me and then followed with an email to say there was no damage. I have no experience with his company, but I can attest to his having handled this situation with utmost kindness. With his knowledge of insurance, he could have "held me up" for big money. But he did not. That goes a long way with me. For what it's worth.
