One of my favorite restaurants in Wichita because they have fresh seafood, an amazing Sunday brunch, and a really good happy hour! The food, drinks, ambiance and service are all impeccable at all times of the day.
We started going for the brunch... they have a nice juicy prime rib carving station, Belgian waffles with fresh whipped cream and berries, and a whole spread of brunchy foods. Then we got hooked on the happy hour because they actually have good deals on the appetizers and cocktails. I mean, $5 dirty martini... who can resist? We recently learned that they also have a reverse happy hour that's great for a night cap with friends.
Their dinner service is great too. This is one of the few places in town that serve fresh seafood, and do it right! My favorite is the scallop entree!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Sue B.Arlington, TX14869Dec 20, 2023
Extraordinary bistro feel restaurant.
White table cloths and food to match.
The owner, Noah, works there, which is always a sign of something special.
Everything was great including the bread AND REAL butter.
Lobster salad, crab cakes and wedge.
All excellent. Our waiter, Bailey, was fun, kind, attentive and a cutie.
We will go back. Special.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 1 - Brianna R.Bel Aire, KS54922Mar 24, 2024
We asked for a room for a party, for Sunday brunch. We asked for a private room. But when we got there was a big room opened with an another huge family. And the kids where so loud and rude and running around our table and body slamming into each other and the parents where not controlling them. And it was ruining my friends birthday brunch. Note: we asked 2 servers a couple times to put up the devider and they said no.
Food was decent. Service was good about clearing plates and bringing coffee/water.
I will not be back agian.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Scott M.Wichita, KS05514Jan 28, 2024
Service- great
Ambiance- great
Food- just ok... was not impressed with filet. Ordered it with crab and well that was a joke, jumbo lump crab was what stated on menu ..half teaspoon at most and finally cut up to, was a huge laugh at table. Alfredo.. oh wow complete disappointment, no flavor and portion was like off the kids menu.
Drinks - average
3 ppl, 2 filet, 1 pasta, 3 cocktails, 1 dessert $249
Was just a disappointmentHelpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Rose D.Gilbert, AZ03Apr 17, 2024
The food is incredibly tasty, and the happy hour, especially for drinks and appetizers, is fantastic! The desserts are irresistible- keep them coming! The staff is also exceptionally friendly and attentive. The prices are on the expensive side so might be best to save this for a special occasion.

My wife and I frequent Newport often. Although seafood in Wichita is difficult to find, Newports lobster rolls are great.

THERE WAS A WORM IN MY FOOD I ALMOST ATE AND THE MANAGER DIDNT CARE! I went with my mother for the 3pm happy hour special. got oysters, dip, and 2 drinks. server was great.. but the manager Andrew has THE WORST manners and apology skills i've ever seen a restaurant manager have. once he came to our table his first word to us was "sup" long story short he said it is what it is... so order oysters from newport grill if you like to eat worms!

We came in right when they opened and were sat immediately. The interior is very upscale dining with a beautiful view of the river. We took a risk with trying the steak tartare but were pleasantly surprised with how delicious it actually was. Would definitely recommend anyone slightly interested in it to give it a try. The salad and the cod sandwich were underwhelming afterwards. The sandwich fell apart after one bite and the bread was soggy. If I'm paying top dollar for food, I don't want my appetizer and bread started to be the star of the show. I was expecting to be wowed. Would come back again for the views and try out their drinks though.

brunch was a disappointment. Prime Rib was especially fatty, omelets were ordered as opposed to an omelette station . Waitress didn't mention omelets, we had to ask.
was disappointed to the point that probably wont even consider going back for dinnerHelpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Oct 14, 2022
We decided to try this restaurant before we left Wichita. It is situated in a great location by the park and shopping area. Most guests get to view the park and the band outside while dining. The band played some nice slow music, nothing loud. This is a beautiful and well-maintained restaurant. The staffers seemed energetic and well-trained. We had a girl named Alexis as our waitress, and she was quick, professional, and friendly.
Hubby ordered Wedge Salad, and I had Arugula Salad to start. We liked the arugula salad better than the wedge salad. My Arugula Salad is served with goat cheese and Apple slices. Then Hubby got Creekstone RibEye, and I had Trout Amandine. My Trout was exceptional! I loved it! Even Hubby enjoyed it too, although he's not a fish eater. The double vegetable served with my fish was awesome because broccolini is my favorite vege and Hubby's dinner came with it too.
Last but not least, we ended the chapter with banana bread pudding! It was amazing! Anything that makes me plum is amazing! I can't believe they allowed me to order this unbelievably enticing dessert. Who's in charge? Anyway, we had a great time dining in Wichita! Thank you for the great food, service, and hospitality!Helpful 3Thanks 1Love this 3Oh no 0 - Melissa G.Wichita, KS12914Apr 2, 2024
