This place checks all the important boxes for what I want at a pizza place. I don't have to have fancy decor, but this place feels homey. You walk to the counter and place your order - pro tip, go at lunch and get the lunch special if you are a pepperoni or cheese pizza person - pizza, salad and drink for less than $10. Husband orders this - salad is very simple and delicious. The pizza slice is giant, super thin and super crisp, very flavorful. I ordered a "Slicezilla" where you can choose three toppings - this time I had bacon, onion and tomato. Everything was delicious. It also comes with a pickle - I'm a fan of it!! For beer drinkers there are plenty choices, for kids and others, there are wonderful soda flavors. Important - iced tea was fresh as well. This is my favorite for the super thin crisp crust pizza. We have friends who take out whole pizzas and have never had issues - always spot on. The guy who took or order and cooked our food was very kind as well. It's a winner, y'all.

As a NJ native (with proximity to NYC), I know good pizza, and for that, I'd give New York Pizza & Pints a solid 3.5. The pizza was better than a few other places I've visited while living in TX, so that was a plus. I also like how you can buy a slice of pizza without splurging on a whole pie if that's not what you want. (Moving to TX from the North and being unable to buy a single slice of pizza has presented its challenges #firstworldproblems).
While I'm still on the hunt, this place did the job for a quick slice.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - M. T.Dallas, TX033Oct 24, 2023
The guy that was cooking/serving at the time, didn't greet me when I walked in (literally walked right in front of me) and was obnoxiously rude and impatient with a customer. She was picking up the order for someone and wanted to double check that everything had been included.
My cheese slice was just one big glob of cheese.
I'll stick to the Wylie location...Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Holly F.Dallas, TX766372Jun 10, 2023
The pies here are delicious. Get'em, fold'em, and eat'em! #boom Flavor explodes in your mouth and you're transported back to NY.
The service is exemplary, whether you call for carryout or go into eat.
The overall ambiance is a good ole pizza pub! Our family enjoys this restaurant and continues eat here regularly! If you haven't been here, try the pepperoniHelpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Alex N.McKinney, TX71168Jul 31, 2023
This place used to be our go-to for NY Style. It's a shame the only size options are 14 and 24. 14 is just too small for my fatass.
In any case, the 24inch used to be great, but the last few times we ordered it (both from this location and the one off El Dorado), the crust has been so incredibly thin, I wouldn't have argued that they just took their 14inch dough and REALLY spread it out thin.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Photo C.Southside, Fort Worth, TX01Nov 24, 2023

Pizza was good. Staff was stand-offish. Choice of beverages was a problem. Off brand soda dispenser had no cola flavor. Food was fine but atmosphere was lacking. Probably fine for to go orders. Just get drinks somewhere else.

One of my pet peeves is restaurants that don't understand what opening on time means. This morning, we arrived 10 minutes before opening and waited in our car. 11:00 rolls around, and they just started putting chairs out. I stand at the door, waiting for them to unlock it. The employee eventually unlocks the door and tells me they aren't ready to open yet. I said we can wait inside since it's raining; he seems annoyed by this after waiting a few minutes inside us and another customer decide to take our business elsewhere.

Solid three,3 Starzz! I am a pizza snob. I don't eat junk. My favorite pizza in Dallas is 30 minutes from my home without traffic. So, it's a stretch to get there but I enjoy it 2 times per year.
Now there are the usual suspects around and some are good. None are great close to my home. In addition, the better ones are overpriced although nice.
But, sometimes I just want a good slice of pepperoni and sausage without getting a second mortgage or driving an hour.
I've had New York Pizza and pints on the radar for a couple of years. Reading through the reviews Ive seen some throw out the exuberant 5 stars that proclaim" it's the best pizza I've had in my life".! Give me a break.
Just eat the meal and give an objective assessment thereby helping other Yelp users. Simple.
Well, I've had a deep pizza hunger lately and was out this afternoon in the 100-degree heat. Heading back home it hit me! NY Pizza and pints. Yes, cold beer and pizza in air-conditioned comfort.
So I made my way to the little shop tucked in the strip center in a hard-to-find location. Entering it looked like it could be in NYC. Ok, good sign consistent with the name.
After ordering at the counter I took my beer and found a nice comfortable booth to wait for my pizza. The place has great service and they bring your food to the table which is just what I needed.
Usually, I'm not a paper plate fan but in this case, it worked. My wedge salad was brought out on a tray with the various ingredients in plastic cups. Actually thisHelpful 74Thanks 0Love this 63Oh no 1
