Being from NYC and NJ and visiting my son In Houston I was in search of a decent bagel. I searched the web and found NY Deli. I have to say that it's the closest thing to NY/NJ bagels I've come across. The cream spreads are also excellent. While waiting for my bagels I looked at the menu for the coffee shop and decided to take out an order of their blintzes. They were awesome! Thank you NY Deli for satisfying my bagel and cream cheese cravings.

I came here with my grandma after getting a bogo coupon on Facebook.
This is your traditional diner style breakfast place. I absolutely loved the vibes and they greeted us as soon as we walked in as if we were family.
We both got the breakfast plates and I added bacon to mine.
It's your basic American breakfast which is what we were both craving. Everything was yummy.
The prices and service are both awesome.
I'll definitely be back again soon.Helpful 1Thanks 1Love this 1Oh no 0 - Yana A.Houston, TX43367Feb 18, 2024
Worst service I have seen in a long time. Wait was 1 hour after being seated. Then the waitress tells us the order didn't go through. When we get the menu (ourselves) to change the order she says it went through now and doesn't let us change anything.
No service to actually say anything about the food. Lentil soup is tasteless. Better from a can. Lox way too salty. I normally like salty but this was a new level.
Then presumably the manager comes and instead of saying sorry for the delay he says that it's our fault for coming on a Sunday and their patrons know better and don't come on Sundays. Why even address us if that's the response you are giving customers.
I understand it's a small establishment and I like supporting small businesses but not when treated like this.Helpful 1Thanks 1Love this 1Oh no 1 - Nov 16, 2023
Hadn't been here in years. We decided to go on a Sunday.
Fairly fast service. Food is decent. We think our waitress didn't care for us though. Maybe it was because only one of us was ready to place an order and the other wasn't.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Jul 30, 2023
Let there be a bagel shop. Here comes New York Deli. I stopped by after a Passover breakfast meeting at my friend's house. I saw a long line at the parking lot next to the Neighborhood Walking.
I couldn't resist to wait like everyone else. Yes, the bagels are a little pricey. But I couldn't find freshly baked bagels in Houston. Nice to see one within reach.
While waiting in line, I glanced over at an open door, "Ah a coffee shop". According to an employee, that's a full-service restaurant. He recommended that I swing by one day. Yeah, if I didn't have breakfast,
Bagels are decent. I only intended to eat half while driving home. But because they tasted so good, I ate just about everything I bought. Oops. Until then.Helpful 5Thanks 0Love this 3Oh no 1 - 23268237Nov 15, 2023Updated review
On a whim we came in this morning. I had corned beef hash with 2 eggs 1 latke and a pumpernickel bagel. Mrs had oatmeal. Coffee was good too. Waitress was new but excellent.

Excellent bagels and corned beef hash with a latke; our americano coffee was also very nice.
The menu has a lot of choices and so many NYC Jewish deli dishes... we will have to try them all.
We will return for sandwiches another day.
By the way the have another location at Chimney Rock and Bellaire Blvd - I think that one might be a bakery only. - Michael L.Westbury, Houston, TX04Apr 19, 2024
Wonderful neighborhood restaurant that's been around for years! Bagels and cream cheeses are wonderful.

Always very comfortable and friendly, relaxed, with decent coffee and superior bagels. I'd avoid the mediocre pastrami and stick with eggs, cured fish, bagels. The fried egg and cheese sandwich on a bagel is always satisfying.

Casual vibe diner vibes where orders are still taken on a paper slip. I got the BUILD YOUR OWN OMELETTE. It came with a bagel or toast but I obviously got the BAGEL to try since this place is known for having great bagels. You're able to choose 5 toppings to add to your omelette. I wasn't expecting them to melt the cheese on top but it was delicious. HOME FRIES EXTRA CRISPY.
I added a side of SCALLION CREAM CHEESE for the bagel & it was fantastic. The Everything bagel was toasted, chewy, substantial. I had to take half the bagel home because it was too much food & it reheated well. I would come back here just to get a bagel to go. Will have to try their RAINBOW bagel next time.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Omri B.Winston-Salem, NC289183Feb 7, 2024
