New Village Hardware

I'm a Hardware Store Junkie. I live in Alamogordo, and since there are no "real" hardware stores in town, (Fastenal is the closest to one) it was a real treat for me to find this store in Cloudcroft. For a small town they are very fortunate to have a store like this. It's not huge mind you, but I'm sure it will save a lot of people a trip down the mountain for that weird little goody they need and may not find at the big box stores. The staff are very helpful and friendly and the store is well stocked and fair priced. The owner said if they don't have it they'll order it if they can. This is a relatively new location that moved from a smaller location. We just bought an RV on a lot outside of Cloudcroft and they've saved me a trip or two already! Neat store!

If you have a place in/around Cloud Croft you NEED to check this local hardware store out. Let's keep out money in this small community. When possible, check this place out before you go to a big box store in the next town. :-)

We were unaware of the Stage 1 fire restrictions in the area which does not allow campfires in primitive camping areas, & needed a gas grill to cook my wife's birthday dinner steak she had requested. I debated driving down the mountain to go buy a grill, but instead made a call to Joe at New Village Hardware & he had exactly what I needed! Plus was only 8 minutes away walking distance! New Village Hardware is the one stop shop in Cloudcroft for most anything you could need! If they don't have it, you don't need it!

I always check here before heading down the mountain to the big box store(s). They usually have it in stock, saving me a trip into Alamogordo. Friendly staff. Reasonable prices. Quality stock.

Had a plumbing problem and my husband went to New Village Hardware to get some advice and parts to install a new faucet. The owner Jack was not only knowledgeable but also helpful. We did not have the right wrench for the install and instead of trying to sell us one, Jack let us borrow his. Have you ever heard of that happening? This is not the first time that Jack has assisted us with the loan of his personal tool. New Village also has a wonderful inventory. Can't get the service or knowledge like this at a big box store.
