New Philadelphia is in Tuscarawas County, Ohio. It's the county's largest city, 119 miles from Columbus and 85 miles from Cleveland. The two main streets running through the city are Broadway and High Ave. I really enjoyed driving around with my family looking at the old historic buildings. The courthouse is absolutely amazing, so beautiful. I enjoyed driving through the tree lined neighborhoods, looks like most the people take great pride in their homes. Tuscora Park is located here, if you have a chance to visit. They have a carousel, ferris wheel batting cages, miniature golf, and a beautiful water fountain. I wanted to spend more time here, maybe a picnic with my grand kids. We ran out of time, so that's my goal for my next visit. One of my daughters favorite restaurants is located here. Uncle Primos, it has Italian, seafood and steaks. The night we went I wasn't very hungry, I couldn't pass up the custard filled cream puff. It's was beyond delicious! Another place to eat when you visit this area is Tlaquepaque. Yummy Mexican food, so good I requested it twice on my vacation. I recommend Thursday nights because they have live music. Great family atmosphere and awesome service.
I enjoyed everything about New Philadelphia and look forward to my next visit. Great history, shopping and eateries.Helpful 18Thanks 0Love this 17Oh no 0
