Looking for a good selection of Indian groceries at a good price with kind management then check New India Market!
We were pleasantly surprised with how much we got for less than $35! Plus the items we got were super tasty. The naan and paratha in the frozen section were good.
The owner was super kind as well and super helpful.
Can't wait to come back and continue to browse the selection. Plus there are good options to create your own recipes or ready to go food. It may seem like a smaller place but overall a good selection!!Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Jul 2, 2020
I came to the market today to check out their stock intending to buy Indian simmer sauces to make my own Indian dinners at home. I have been to one other Indian market in the area--the one near UNLV. This one is much closer to home and it proved to be a good stop.
The shop is small, but it is well organized and had what I was looking for. I got some different simmer sauces and a jar of very hot curry paste for adding to any of the sauces I use or to add zing to something else I'm making at home.
As I was finishing my walk around the aisles, I noticed they had bags of frozen rasgulla. It's on the list for my next visit for sure. As I was looking, the owner pointed me to an area to check for an item I was looking for.
With my bag of goodies, I went to counter and I was checked out quickly. Service was friendly. I am so pleased I made the short trip down Sahara to get some simmer sauce for my chicken breasts waiting in the freezer.Helpful 9Thanks 0Love this 6Oh no 0 - Chand A.San Francisco, CA16836Mar 1, 2023

I just called here looking for goats milk for a friend. I was SCREAMED at by whomever picked up the phone. He called me stupid and asked who told me to call the store and ask that. It was a sincere and innocent question

New India Market is a much tinier store than Rani's in the shopping plaza next driveway over. Yes its crowded, but there's a ton of stock and I found everything I needed. Although it was cramped, the store is organized. The isles width are literally suitable for one person and a carry basket. I filled that basket.
I would like to learn to cook the type of food I picked, but I need easy going stuff right now. They are here to help people like me :P. I have my faves: specifically garlic naan; and they had lavender incense. I bought all the lavender incense that was left on the shelves.
Store also has hair and beauty products. Another customer who was trying to figure out my nationality hahaaaa - told me about their hair oil to strengthen his little girls' tresses. I'll keep that in mind. Something I'd try... They sell DVD movies and herbal type meds.
I like their tea selections and they come in big boxes. Both loose leaf and tea bags are sold here. But they don't have anything for the loose leaf kind. At home, improvise... I'll use a coffee filter.
If it weren't for the kindness of the store manager, this would only be a 3 star review. But she was really friendly, told me stories, and gave me some educational tips on teas; and also storing teas, incense, spices separately in the cabinets.
This is the place I'll be coming back to for garlic naan. Especially cuz they come in large value packs. Works for me!Helpful 46Thanks 0Love this 40Oh no 0 - Taven R.Las Vegas, NV2143Feb 22, 2021
Lovely little mom'n'pop shop, and well worth the trip
Great selection, and the owners were extremely helpful - patient with my general indecision, helping me understand and choose and pick ingredients for my dish, and generally being excellent.
Support small businesses, support making fantastic curries and the like, and support these really nice cardamom sandwich cookies I found.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Lotem B.Encino, CA121228014Oct 3, 2018

Took Gdad here so he can make his delicious Lamb Curry.. The Store's manager was super helpful and knowledgeable.
My Gdad said that he was amazed by the selection and that the store reminded him of home.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Ashani M.Las Vegas, NV03Jan 8, 2021
Smaller than the other Indian stores in Las Vegas, but it is organized and reasonably priced. What makes it the best Indian store in this area is the owners customer service.
