Tried this place out for the first time and it was absolutely delicious. The staff quickly attended to me and provided me with a seat at the bar. I ordered my food and it was brought out in under ten minutes. The soup was good and the wontons were good but the actual lunch combo was amazing! Great portions, great food, great staff and beautiful restaurant with nice music!
Definitely coming back!Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Jessica K.RI, RI12Apr 17, 2024

Silver Crystal in West Warwick suddenly stopped serving dim sum, so my friend and I went to New Asia.
I had been there before and didn't care for it, but we were hungry and it had been 5 years, so we went in.
It is clean spacious , and the hostess welcoming, and we were promptly seated. It was noon on a weekday, but there were only 2 other parties in there.
We ordered - I got Ha Gao ( shrimp dumplings) (5pcs) $6.75 and Siu Mai (5pcs) $6.75. The shrimp dumplings were not good. The rice dough was too thick and the shrimp paste was dry. The Siu Mai was a bit better, but tasted a bit weird. Not sure what was it that made it taste that way. Just not good.
My friend got Nime Chow (vegetable) $5.75 and Wonton Soup-(sm) 4.75.
She said the nime show was tasteless and the wonton soup was just ok. She is someone who pretty much likes everything, but when we left she said "Let's not go back. There are way better places out there."Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Feb 19, 2018Previous reviewI really want to give this 2 stars based on my experience, but the 2 others with me got different things and were very impressed. They even want to come back very soon! So I will temper my review with the thought that I just didn't order the right things ( sushi lunch combo ) and will try again .
We all decided to try this new restaurant as we had heard really good things about it. Not only the dim sum , but sushi and hibachi.
I love Silver Crystal dim sum but was thrilled there is another place that offers it.
We went on a holiday (Presidents Day) Monday , and early , so we were the first ones there. Very pleasant host behind bar and server. We sat in a booth and ordered green tea and water as we looked over all the menus (lunch, dim sum and full menu). Lots to choose from!!
While we were looking, server brought over fried won ton strips and duck sauce. Thick wonton strips were a little too greasy but the duck sauce was good.
I ended up ordering har gow? Shrimp dumplings from the dim sum menu ($3.50 for 4) and the Japanese sushi roll (2 rolls - Boston roll and spicy shrimp roll) with soup ( I got hot and sour) or salad for $9.00.
Other 2 ordered the same - raw sushi / sashimi combo raw tuna roll , and 2 pieces each of salmon , yellowtail , and a few others, with wonton soup and miso soup. Both were very happy with the taste , flavor and freshness. One said the wonton soup was awesome- if they had spinach instead of lettuce, it would be as great as House of Wu's wonton soup. That's a hard thing to beat!!
All came out with a beautiful garnish ( see picture) and lovely plating.
Mine looked lovely ( see picture) but I was not happy. The hot and sour soup was good - not great but good. However the 2 rolls were cold, tasteless and not good.
Only later did I realize they had been made IN ADVANCE !!!! Pre-made sushi roll????? - I'm sure just a few hours before but cold and tasteless. Does it make for a fast lunch? Yes . Is it acceptable? NOT in my eyes.
So I will try again - with a special roll , not a standard roll and try the hibachi. As for the dim sum, they had less dishes to offer than Silver Crystal and I prefer their har gow.
We will see!! - Nov 25, 2023
We ordered takeout on a Friday night and it was done fairly quickly. We ordered 2 different dinner combo plates (orange chicken & boneless spare ribs, with egg rolls and chicken fried rice) The food was delicious and perfectly hot in temperature. They also give big portions, definitely worth the money, and I definitely plan on returning and trying more dishes from them! Would definitely recommend. Great place to get Chinese takeout.

If you are Asian there is a big chance upwards of 80% of the time you will crave for Asian food. And here we go.
Staying in Rhode Island for the long weekend, exploring the different corners of Northeast corridor, and we narrowed down our choices to New Asia House.
We ordered some dimsums, fried rice, crispy pork chop and chicken chopsuey. Green tea and ginger ale for the drinks.
Everything we ordered are good except their version of soup dumpling (xiaolongbao) and chopsuey is different from what I am used to. The dumpling has similar shape outside but it is full of meat and almost no soup inside. The chicken chopsuey is serve with bean sprouts and onions. I am no expert to Chinese cuisine and I am not sure what specific region this dish prep is.
Nonetheless, everything taste good. I love their crispy pork chop and their very good prep of general tso. My daughter gave it two thumbs up and commented it really taste good.
Overall, I highly recommend this place for your Asian cuisine craving. The staffs are nice and the place has a huge space inside though it lack some ambient music.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Feb 13, 2023Updated review
This place never disappoints.... When I am in the area I always make it a point to stop here. You want dim sum, chinese, sushi, hibachi - they got it all for your taste. I love Asian food and this ranks as one of my fav spots. If you have not visited I highly recommend. And the service is super friendly and always remembers your face. You will not regret your decision to eat here!

They offer Hibachi seating, sushi bar, regular dining and a large bar. There ambience fits all from families to the party goers. The food was really good just a bit bland for Chinese good. This might be a great sign of no MSG!! The service was awesome and the prices were even better. I am excited to come back and try many things off the very diverse menu.

Food was okay, nothing fancy but served hot, service was great and the staff was polite and professional. We liked the dining in and place was clean.
Will go again if in the area.

Chinese, Japanese and Dim Sum place. My wife ordered the chicken with cashew nuts, which was okay - typical brown sauce meal, with fried rice, good size portion, fresh veggies. I ordered the sushi and sashimi combo, which came with six pieces of sashimi, six sushi and a spicy tuna roll. It was served on a large plate, nicely arranged. The sashimi was cold to the point of being slightly frozen, although the sushi, served on warm rice, was at the correct temperature. Both meals came with piping hot soup - egg drop and miso, respectively, and were good renditions of both.

Good dim sum, nice inside and easy parking. The service is also fast and friendly. The menus have a good mix of authentic Chinese food and dim sum as well as the American Chinese food for those who want it.
