And now, a review for food: Super cheap and very good lunch specials ($6.99)

The cheeseburger was really good- had that nice chargrill kind of flavor to it.
Also have recently had the lamb kabob platter- off their regular menu $15. A bit pricey but seriously a ton of food, two lamb skewers plus salad and rice (or veggies) and the tzatziki sauce. My office wanted the food delivered- a service which is on the brochure for orders $25+ but their sole delivery guy was apparently out so we had to go pick it up. Everyone else was saying how great the fries are from here.

A hole in the wall joint that takes you back to the 80's (establishment is pretty outdated). However, food here is pretty tasty and their service is warm and friendly. Noticed that this had more of a Mediterranean/Middle Eastern feel vs. American, so I ordered more from that side of the menu.

Got the chicken kabob sandwich and it was very tasty. Chicken was marinated nicely and was juicy as well. Ordered the side salad instead of fries and was pleasantly surprised how fresh their lettuce were (some places give you dingy old lettuce, Neighbors actually throws in some spring salad mix for ya). Also, the salad was dressed lightly, which I like since it wasn't drenched in some heavy fat dressing.

For dessert, I tried the saffron and rose water ice cream. It was definitely a unique experience, but overall memorable. My bf thought it was too fragrant for him to handle and I do agree. The ice cream was a nice palate cleanser.

I hate to give bad reviews, but my experience when going to Neighbor's was not so great.

The service was rude and the meal I ordered in the menu looked nothing like what I got. When I asked for a order of marinara sauce on the side of my Chicken Parmesan sandwich , the waitress was very resistant to make this simple substitution. Then, I used the delivery menu to order a Ghormeh Sabzi which showed a small soup with a small portion of rice. I'd never be expected to get ripped off with a tremendous amount of rice which would take at least four people to eat. Later, I ended up getting sick from the restaurant's food.

The only good thing that came from my experience was seeing the plethora of cuisines in this restaurant and the balance of flavors in my Ghormeh Sabzi.

I,unfortunately, might not be coming back to this restaurant.

If I could give a half star I would. Sat down with girlfriend. Sat here while two waiters checked on the two couples on both out sides and they just passed over us without giving any reasoning. I asked nicely for a cup of water for both of us but it never came. 30 minutes later we leave once we got fed up.

Also, we witnessed a waiting give a customer his receipt, the customer was counting out bills and about 3 minutes later the waiter walked over, semi aggressively grabbed the receipt looked at it and put it back on the table.

Seriously what the hell is up with this place we didn't even get any waiters to talk to us or anything.

If you stick to the kabobs you will be happy. The French dip will leave you very sad. Other pizza reminded my friend of the microwave frozen pizzas you buy. The salads are very large and yummy!

They do allow smoking at the bar so be cautious if you walk into the bar side and sadly you can smell the smoke on the restaurant side I have friends that can't go in due to asthma and other breathing issues.

Absolute joke of a restaurant. Ordered food from here while staying at the Westin in tysons corner, VA. Used grub hub. Waited 90 minutes, still no food delivered despite having to pre pay tips, delivery fees, etc. When I called the restaurant, they had no copy of my order! Wow! Then I had to spend all this time getting credit card charges off for food never delivered and two hungry , uoset kids. I'll never use Grub Hub OR recommend " Neighbors Restaurant" ever again. Service is always good and the food is phenomenal; it's never a hit and miss kind of place. Kubideh kabob is only 10 dollars for 2 skewers, rice, and salad. Can't find that anywhere else. The fajita's where also great! FYI, there is the neighbors restaurant and a separate bar next door which is owned by the same owner. Make sure you go into the restaurant. It seems like some reviewers had their meal in the bar which did allow smoking inside the last time I was in there (about a year ago). There is definitely no smoking in the totally separate restaurant.

I live down the street so usually grab lunch here aboit once a week. The kabobs are really good and cheap eats too. I enjoy the other items too but usually get the kabobs and a soda and for lunch its less than 15 dollars.

      First to Review

It's Sunday. 1pm. I find myself in Vienna, VA; an hour away from home, with the Redskins game ticking away..

I drive to a dilapidated shopping center frantically searching for a sports bar. Then I find it "Neighbor's Sports Bar / Catering". The restaurant, frankly it's old and ugly inside. The regulars seem a little rough. I feel awkward in my nice jeans and Gap hoodie. I seat myself slightly to the right of the big screen TV. The room is too bright, or the TV is too weak; either way it's a bit washed out. The waiter is rushed, but friendly. I order a cheesesteak. There is someone sitting a few seats behind me, I'm assuming he's a bit drunk: he's laughing at the Hyundai commercial.

The cheesesteak arrives. It barely has any taste to it - I almost feel like adding salt to it. The soda I ordered has a staleness to it. People are smoking (VA still allows smoking in public places I guess?).

Not the best restaurant experience. But I get to watch the first half in relative peace and munch on some food. I head out at halftime.
