11/6/2015WHEAT MEAT, WHEAT MEAT! Its so great here, I can't even.
Disclaimer: I'm not vegan. However, the food here is phenomenal and I would turn vegan in a heartbeat if I could have Native Foods every day. My favorites are the taco salad (the "taco meat" is so good...!) and their twister wrap with crispy "chicken." - 377982529944
12/9/2015I really enjoyed both the service and the food here.
They really go out of their way to make sure you enjoy everything and I like the vibe and atmosphere as well.
I went with creating my own veggie burger and really enjoyed it as well as the side salad.
Prices and portions are fair, everything is made fresh to order and presented nicely.
Indoor as well as outdoor seating, great location, glad we stopped in! - 8195751025
9/8/2015Healthy food at its finest! I don't know how this place does it, but their foods are delicious and healthy. I am sure vegans go crazy for this place.
I have tried the tempeh tacos here and they were quite interesting. I am not a huge fan of tempeh, but hey it was still delicious.
I also had the "chicken" avocado TWISTER wrap. Man, I don't know what it is, but everything tastes so fresh and savory.
Come here and check out their food items. You almost won't be able to tell it's not real chicken. Also, service here is always on point. I have been here multiple times for either to-go or dine in and they are always so kind.
Thank you Native Foods Cafe for offering great prices for a healthy meal! - 281583570
10/17/2015Love love love this place. This was the first Native Foods I went to. My husband worked across the street and this was a perfect place to grab lunch with him when I was close by. Another great thing about this spot was being able to go with meat eaters who also think their food is yum.
My favourite things on the menu are the nachos, Scorpion burger, and the Oklahoma bacon burger. Their tempeh is amazing and their cheese is delicious as well.
Their desserts are a must, so save space! I really enjoy the whoopie a.k.a smooshy as I like to call it. I love to cut it in half and save one half in the fridge for a snack. I would get mad at my husband if he went here to eat without bring me home a whoopie.
They have a couple of beer choices, I liked the options and really good teas. - 116465529
10/23/2015Anytime I go to the LA-area, a Native Foods visit is a must. I usually go to the one in Westwood, but since it's closed until 11/15/15, I came to this one instead. The food is good, but missing some flavor; I had the baja tacos and the bf had one of the burgers. We shared a side of sweet potato fries with the chipotle dipping sauce. The chipotle sauce is so good, and usually at the Westwood NFC, the fries come with the sauce, but I guess they forgot to bring it out so we had to ask for it. I also ended up putting some chipotle sauce on my baja tacos to give it some more flavor.
Besides the food, I am miffed about the service. My bf and I stood waiting to order for 5 minutes at least, waiting for the cashier to finish his conversation with the person in front of us. I guess he was just being friendly, so I can't be too annoyed. Then, when the waiter brought the food to our table, he just slid the plates on the table and walked away without a word. Of course I didn't expect him to fan out my napkin around my neck and spoon-feed me, but I would have liked just a sentence like, "here's your food" or something of that nature. It was also freezing in the restaurant. Freezing.
Overall, I will be happy when the Westwood Native Foods Cafe opens up again! - Kristina M.Redlands, CA10889134
7/22/2015This is a great vegan restaurant! The food is super fresh and tastes great. My fiancé had the nachos with guacamole and I had the Baja tacos. I liked his better than mine and would probably order the nachos next time, but the tacos were still good.
The drinks are wonderful! I love how they are unique. We tried the watermelon fresca (my favorite) and the blueberry lavender lemonade (also very good!). I tried a sip of the blueberry hibiscus iced tea, but felt it was a bit too bitter for me.
The staff was unbelievably amazing - so kind and so happy to be around! Definitely give this place a try :) - 74219379
6/4/2015Native Foods on Ocean Park has great vegan food, as well as an extremely friendly and helpful staff. I came here with my friend tonight, and we got the curry bowl which was was delicious. It wasn't too crowded which was also nice so we had quick and prompt service.
If I'm ever in this area again, I will definitely come back to Native Foods. - 241354709
10/2/2015You can never go wrong here. Came to this location because WW is closed. It was nice! They don't do the daily specials here though (or maybe just anymore)

9/16/2014I love Native Foods but it's been going downhill. They can't decide on any menu items and constantly change what they serve. They disguise it as a seasonal menu, but I don't see any seasons in their fall menu. It's like Trader Joes when they discontinue items without telling you - it feels personal!!!
You just have to order well, I've decided. The nachos are a great value, the burgers are not. Stick with the bowls I'd say to get your money's worth. Also they've been skimping on the protein. You get 95% veggies and grains and only a little protein. I think that's where my issue has been - I'm out $15 for a meal where I only got 5 bites of protein.
The service is always very friendly I will say. I want them to do well but I want more protein! - 28010623893
8/2/2012If you have yet to sign up for a Native Foods Rewards Card, do it. Do it now! Sometimes your loyalty gets you a free appetizer, free entrée, free drink, and free dessert for you and three friends when they open a new location :D
As a loyal fan of Native Foods, I was lucky enough to attend the pre-opening of the new Santa Monica location. I was happy to see new menu items since I've had practically everything else on the menu. On this particular visit, I had the Roasted Chile Taco Trio. While they look more like mini tostadas rather than tacos, I was extremely happy with the taste. Refried beans, roasted jalapeños, brown rice, mango salsa, guacamole and cilantro. Mmm!!! The colors and presentation was alluring to look at too! bit.ly/N4eszX
I was hoping to get the newest appetizer but they ran out of the Maryland Tempeh Cakes the day of the pre-opening so I ordered something I already had and love. Native Chili! bit.ly/MlfgnK ...which by itself is already filling. It comes with cornbread too :)
Weeks later I revisited Native Foods to get the Maryland Tempeh Cakes:
It was tasty but I was hoping it would be crispier on the outside. I would still eat it again though. I really like the chipotle remoulade it comes with. bit.ly/OKP2t0
Let's not forget dessert! I'm already a fan of their cupcakes. Usually I go for the chocolate one but they started serving Carrot Cupcakes. Ohhhhh....mouthgasm! bit.ly/M5m0Vt
I love this new location! Plenty nearby parking, lots of seating (more outdoor than indoor), and super helpful and friendly service.
Two more words: Watermelon Fresca! (...with free refills!) :D
