I'm honestly amazed that people posting here can leave such angry and endless negative rants about a doctor they didn't even meet or who isn't giving them narcotics (after they tried everything else) The office can be a bit chaotic but that's because he is a good doctor who works endless hours to see everyone he can.. I've been going to Dr Cartledge since I was diagnosed with stage 3 cancer ten years ago. He is a compassionate and honest doctor who is committed to his patients. I'm not sure how someone can review him if they did not go through the requirements to be his patient. Dr C runs a very strict but caring practice. Yes, you meet the nurse first. If it's a trial you are explained the rules before anything else to make sure you are willing to begin. That said, Dr C has never rushed me or dismissed my concerns. He remembers my challenges and is always willing to discuss cutting edge treatment. The office is usually crowded because he is one of a very few pain doctors that oncologist, surgeons and other physicians recommend. Sometimes the staff doesn't get back quickly to a call but if you ask for the office manager it gets resolved quickly. Dr Cartledge has also helped me immensely with back injections and ordering me a brace through reputable medical suppliers. He is honest and he will be direct about his concerns. He and his staff have made my life livable. I am so thankful that my renowned oncologist and primary doctors respected him enough to recommend I see him. It has been a blessing. If you go to him at least meet him and hear what he thinks about your situation before you rant about someone you haven't even talked to.

You Cannot reach ANY office by phone despite a listing for it.
You will either Reach National office, or Worse, an international one even for an appointment.
Even pushing the "Doctor/Prescription" option won't do it.
They are now billing me for the routine 15 minute visit (blood screen/prescription) despite my previous visits ALL being covered by my Twin Insurance policies.
IAC, I recommend using someone who you can speak to and has not been sued by Medicare already.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Business owner information

This is hands down THE BEST pain management doctor I have ever been to. I have seen several having lived in NY and Florida, moving in each state. Dr. Miletic is professional, knowledgeable, respectful, and he takes the time to listen and explain things to you. The office may be going through some growing pains and he is completely receptive to patient feedback. This is not a doctor to go to if you are just fishing for a ton of pain meds, he is the doctor to go to if you want accurate diagnosis of your issues and solutions for managing them to actually see results and improve. He diagnosed an issue in two minutes that other doctors had been mistreating for years. This is because he has experience, knowledge, and actually listens to and genuinely cares about his patients. The office staff is all very nice, his assistant is super caring, and I rarely wait long to be seen. If you are sincere about treating your pain this is your guy.
I have also seen Dr. Cartledge in an emergency with my Dr. was out, he was extremely nice, effective, and I am thankful he made time for me.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0Business owner information

Doctor is great but office staff and trying to make an appointment is impossible. Wait half an hour to get someone and when you do it is an answering service that is the worst. They really need to get their act together.

Dr Cartledge is a good doctor yet the Office Staff and PA's come and go regularly, w/ unreasonably bad attitudes, compounded w/ the lack of personal care and HUGE INSURANCE Billing ERRORS/Over BILLING & Constant Errors which have taken over 2+ YEARS to correct, which is 100% Unprofessional! Couldn't get My Patient Records or A Call Returned - Office doesn't handle PreAuth for medications properly, leaving patients stranded-
Sadly, these unfortunate matters are ruining Dr Cartledge's practice as his office has gotten too big too fast.
Try an Alternate Doc Office nearby for medical attention and better overall care as well as No Longer SPENDING HOURS w/ BILLING ERRORS!
...I've changed offices and IT IS SO NICE to be cared for by a GREAT DOCTOR w/ STAFF WHO ARE ALL POLITE & CARING in CLEAN, UPDATED MEDICAL OFFICEs IN BOCA. Ask me for refHelpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Adam W.Boca Raton, FL02124Jun 29, 2022

Very much improved with attention to patients and the way they are treated. Unfortunately their new computer or whoever imputed my history wasn't good at doing their job. For years I was treated like a drug seeking addict, which was absolutely untrue. It stated when the computer was replaced and the nurse practitioner had been going by what the computer said instead of asking me questions about my past medical information.
I didn't realize that the information she was reading every month was so awful till I reviewed my follow up appointment information. It was immediately corrected and it's made a very big difference in my treatment. I still would rather see the doctor each month because he knows me best. My biggest concern is if you are a patient and have been treated in an unfair manner go to your follow up notes that are sent to you each and every month to avoid any problems that I've had!! You may be very shocked at what you see! I've been a patient for over 10 years now. I still don't like that it's turned into a Corporation and the mishaps that come along with any Corporate run business instead of a Private Practice. Good luck to all the patients and staff with any new computer installations.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Sep 3, 2015Previous reviewExtremely disappointed with doctor & staff! After going to this office for over 7 years I asked to speak to the Dr. Cartledge & he wouldn't give me the time of time! The turnover lately in employees is ever other month & I only get to see a Nurse Practitioner. I pay to see a doctor not someone who doesn't know me from a hole in the wall. I've complied with all of their rules & then to be treated like garbage today was a major insult. They no longer know what they are doing & don't care for their patients! Only money & what they can rake in. Poor healthcare & they could care less anymore about the way they disrespect clients! I've tried everything they have offered that was non narcotic & everything they ask of me. Their care has gone down the drain. It's very sad when doctors don't care about their patients & are rude by ignoring them just to get out the door by 5:00pm. The Nurse Practitioner didn't even have my blood work from two months ago that said I needed B-12 shots. I guess they are hiring anyone they can find these days & that's not acceptable! I care about my health but, haven't seen the doctor unless he has some new thing he wants to try out. Why should I pay to see a doctor when I don't even see a doctor. Now all they care about is their corporation. Let's hope that this gets the National Pain Institute to go back to caring about their patients instead of the doctor refusing to actually answer & seeing their patients. It's a shame that they have gone from helping to avoiding & not caring for those who need help!

Avoid this practice at all cost! My primary physician referred me to Dr. Cartlidge. I was in need of changing my chronic pain management plan and my primary care physician wanted the input from a specialist so referred me to Dr. cartilage by name. I have a complex medical history and know that things need to be changed we just need guidance on what our options are.
I made the appointment came in one hour early to fill out all the paperwork. While I was there two other patients were complaining about the clinic. One poor guy was waiting to be called for his appointment and the staff came out and said 'oh the doctor can't see you today come back tomorrow'. Apparently this was his third attempt to see the doctor with a set appointment. To be fair I don't know which doctor in the practice he was trying to see.
I'm taken back to the exam room and somebody with no medical training is running through the questions on the computer with me and then they leave to go talk to the doctor. Turns out the doctor is not going to see me either. This person with no medical training is running back-and-forth to the doctor trying to carry on a conversation between myself and the doctor. I just said this is ridiculous why isn't the doctor here? I never saw the doctor. I never got my questions answered. They just kept saying that the treatment plan that I was under they would not do. I kept telling them that's fine because we want to change it, I just need to know what my options are and I don't want to discuss my options with a minion running back-and-forth to the doctor.
If you make an appointment with a doctor the doctor comes in and you have a conversation. It's called a consultation. They are under no obligation beyond that consultation for anything. This game of telephone was just absurd. And their claim was, if the doctor actually had made contact with me then he would be obliged to treat me. Which is BS. I'm not sure the doctor was even there. I think they were running back-and-forth and conferencing in with the doctor which is why the other people in the waiting room were also not being allowed to see a doctor. If that's the case just tell me, don't play this stupid game.
So I now wasted three hours of my time and not only that I wasted the time of my primary care physician who is now going to have to find another doctor to refer me too. And the person who is most affected is me. I'm not getting the answers to my questions about my complex health care needs because there is a doctor who is too lazy to get out of his office or too arrogant to admit that he can't make it to his appointments and tries to do them over the telephone.Helpful 4Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Craig L.Boynton Beach, FL111315Jun 30, 2020
What a horrible experience with the PA Christine!
I have been going here since February 2020 and have had a least 10 shots in my back and one in my knee, no great results from all these procedures.
I finally asked for pain pills , she made me feel like a street junkie, she said when you came here in February you tested positive for opioids,
I leveled with her that I took two pills from my wife , also a patient, because I couldn't stand up
Well she went off on me like you wouldn't believe
I said you are going to test I haven't taken since
I have lived on Naproxen
Which I get take any more
She said I don't think I will be able to give you any pain pills I asked WIP and she says because you abuse them and then she said I think you should find yourself a new pain management doctor
What a horrible horrible person treating me a patient like a drug attic I would not recommend
Thank youHelpful 2Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Lewis W.Boynton Beach, FL04Apr 3, 2019
This office is either the best or one of the best that I have ever used. Dr. Cartledge is both compassionate and considerate. When I was undergoing treatment for back pain, he constantly told me what he was doing and constantly made sure I was okay.
Also all of the office staff was helpful and friendly. After only a couple visits the entire staff that I was dealing with knew me by name as soon as I walked in.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Oct 24, 2014
So the staff assisting the physicians aren't the brightest bulbs in the box, but they are decently nice.
My appointment happened to be with Dr. Cartledge today who had spectacular bedside manner, he was a physician who didn't rush me, he listened to all the concerns I had with my condition, and I left the office feeling like I'm finally taking a step in the right direction.
If you are one of those people who is seeking drugs, SHAME ON YOU, TAKE YOUR ASS SOMEWHERE ELSE. You are the ones who make it even more difficult for people who have Legitimate Pain to be treated. If you have a problem, maybe it's time for a life-change & rehab? ;)
Overall, I look forward to Dr. Cartledge becoming my physician. He's a genuinely nice, pleasant doctor & I would definitely recommend him to anyone!
p.s. National Pain Institute is a large office, clean location & easy to find!Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0
