I've been eating here for some time now and I don't believe that I have not written a review. This restaurant is the go-to for my youngest son's birthday and we celebrated it tonight a little belated. Tonight was just ebi tempura appetizers and some sashimi, nigiri and rolls. We've never had a disappointing meal here. The sashimi pieces are not just thinly sliced fish, but a good portion at a reasonable price. The way they prepare their nigiri is perfect, tightly packed rice and the fish resting nicely on top. It does lack the traditional wasabi under the fish but not a big deal. As far as the rolls, the jaguar and the soft shell crab, I tried a piece of each and I see why my son and wife always orders them. Again, the preparation is nice and neat. And, they also have Sapporo draft beer which is always a huge bonus for us. The overall value for the food is acceptable because of the flavor, presentation and preparation. Naruto has always seem clean, the staff exceptionally friendly and food has always tasted great.
From previous visits we've tried many other varieties. Two of my favorites were the hamachi kama, which is the collar part of the yellow tail tuna, and the soft shell crab appetizer. The kama is grilled perfectly and is serve with ponzu dipping sauce. It's offered as an entree so it comes with rice. The soft shell crab is always seasoned and fried phenomenally good. Also noteworthy to mention is how their ebi and vegetable tempura are made just perfect, crispy and hot. I notice, though, that the tempura sauce doesn't come with th
Tonight, there were several little children with their parents and they were well behaved probably because they were so satisfied with how well their food tasted. It has never been too loud inside even though it's not really a big sized restaurant. The restaurant is maintained nicely, always clean in the dining area and the restrooms. There are three television sets, sushi bar for at least half a dozen people, clean tables, personable staff and quality food.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - 1127061978Nov 5, 2023
This review is overdue. I visited Naruto Show me the Sushi on Wednesday, 8/30/23, during dinner time.
For the sushi rolls, I ordered the California Roll, Creamy Roll, and Emerald Roll. Out of three, I liked the Emerald Roll the most. What stood out to me was the cucumber wrap and it was tasty. The California roll was straightforward in taste and the Creamy Roll was decent. The bill came out to be close to $28. That is affordable compared to other sushi restaurants.
The inside of the restaurant was adorable. I loved the Naruto decorations on the wall.
Naruto Show me the Sushi gets the job done by serving good, inexpensive sushi rolls. I would return to this restaurant whenever I am in the Roseville area.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - 293176286Jan 27, 20241 check-in
Came back here again! Service is excellent! Ordered our favorites. Treasure, Avila, Dynamite Bang Bang, Lion King, Fried Calamari. And of course Sapporo Premium Beers, both sizes. And a few lemonades. Our number 1 favorites are lion king and Avila. Of course we will come back over and over. What's also great is they don't close in the middle of the day like other sushi restaurants. Also the bathroom is clean. That's a plus.

Best sushi in Roseville hands down. I'm not sure why my previous review got deleted (thanks Yelp)- but no worries because I really wanted to edit it to showcase a super underrated roll.
Yes, the popcorn lobster roll is out of this world and bidwell and old memory are both unique and delicious. BUT- let me tell you somethin' about the Ya-Vo! First of all- it's only $6. I don't like yams or avocado unless it's in guacamole form so this was a flat out no for me, until I tried it. Crunchy, creamy, heavenly. Best vegetarian roll I've ever had and I would honestly just get a couple orders of this and be completely satisfied. It's an affordable way to get your sushi fix and tastes absolutely incredible!
Don't sleep on the Ya-Vo!!!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Marc B.Hercules, CA01047Mar 30, 2024
The menu is great and food quality is good. What sets them apart is the service. They have a great server staff amd cooks. Prices are reasonable for the quality of food. Lion king, spider roll, bento boxes, appetizers are all around solid. One of our top sushi spots.

Solid takeout bento box. I enjoyed a 3 item with tonkatsu, beef teriyaki, & salmon teriyaki. Beef wasn't as good as I remember in the past, but all the proteins were yummy, sauces/dressing were tasty. The salmon was a nice substantial portion that melted in my mouth & was the star for me.
Ordering was easy, didn't take long, & food was hot & ready upon arrival.
All in all, a hearty & satisfying meal that made me happy.Helpful 7Thanks 1Love this 5Oh no 0Jan 19, 2019Previous reviewSimply the best quality bento box combos I've ever had. The salmon teriyaki is always delicious. I'm a fan of the beef teriyaki, deep fried potstickers, & tonkatsu as well. Service has been super friendly & attentive every time we've eaten there. It was a big hit for dinner with visiting family.
It's not a big place with limited seating. Be warned that parking can sometimes be awful. - Feb 4, 2023Updated review
Naruto kept its high quality post pandemic lockdown. I've been to many sushi restaurants in the area and Naruto is by far my family's favorite. Their chefs and staff are friendly and they're realistic with their wait time to sit at a table. The restaurant is intimate and there are several televisions with sports typically showing.
Although I expected Naruto to be a replacement, they took a step up and this was noticeable by them always being happy to see their customers, serving fresh food, and not rushing our meal.
Their prices are at par with other sushi restaurants and their speed is consistently between 10 to 20 minutes since they are typically well staffed for the crowd. Our favorites are the Popcorn Lobster, Lion King, Silk Road, and the freshly made loose leaf Genmai tea.Helpful 8Thanks 2Love this 8Oh no 1Oct 2, 2020Previous reviewI've been to many sushi restaurants in the area and Naruto is by far my favorite. I found them because they took over a previous owner's restaurant when they moved and renamed the restaurant to Naruto. Overall it was very nice. The sushi was very good and the service was alright. There were a few Naruto decorations on the wall. Overall vibe was as expected for a sushi place. We might try them again sometime.
