My bf found this place on Yelp when we had first moved here. Its just around the corner from our apartment and I loved the name so gave them a shot. Ive since been three times and am so happy I did! Katelyn is a wizard in my opinion and I am so grateful for how she made my hair look. I had several inches chopped off my first time with her and then two weeks later went back for highlights.
Fun facts: bang trims are free, they give you scalp massage before cuts, offer beer, wine, tea and water, and if you refer a friend you receive $20 off salon products.
Book your appointment ahead of time, their book fills up fast!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Lisa B.Denver, CO02Oct 3, 2018
So, I really loved namaste, I loved both of the different stylists I had but I'm super disappointed and bummed.
I made an appointment 8 weeks out for their Speer location. When I got to the location (which was a 25 minute walk), I was greeted by a closed up building with a note taped to the door stating the store had closed and all the stylists have moved to E 9th location.
Uhhhhh, okay.....I never received a call, text, or email stating that my appointment had been either moved or canceled. So, here am like an idiot at a closed down building. There's no way I could even get to the other location in any reasonable time since I had walked. Hey, shit happens, I'm not even that decidedly mad at this point but confused and bummed because my hair needs to get cut hardcore and now won't.
BUT I then tried to call them, the first time I call on 9th, someone puts me on hold for over 5 minutes. Are you kidding me? I then try to call three more times and NO ONE even answers and puts me through to voice mail. I leave a message clearly stating I was not told that the salon had closed and needed to reschedule.
This is where I'm pissed. I received a TEXT 4 days AFTER my appt stating they had moved, what fresh hell is that?!?! No shit, you probably could have let a sister know 4 days BEFORE my appt. It's now FIVE days later and I haven't gotten a return call to reschedule. My job as a consumer is not to chase down a business to buy their service.
It's sad and disappointing that I finally found a salon I loved and my business was apparently not valued and won't recommend it to anyone. Namaste.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Amy K.Denver, CO911244Feb 26, 2019
I have given this place way too many chances. It has totally gone down hill. Long story short, customer service is awful! The front desk person gal is the worst! I booked multiple appointments with specific stylists and each time I showed up for my appointment I was put with someone else. No call, no notice that I was not to see the stylist I had scheduled. Every time I asked, why didn't you call me to let me know, she would lie about trying to call but that it never went thru. I got text reminders of my appointment, my number works...you never called. I hate when someone decides to lie to my face instead of saying, "sorry I messed up." I was put with some pretty subpar stylists, the blow drys all 3 times I left with wet hair. Ridiculous.
Save your time and money, find a different salon to go to.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Andrea B.Frisco, CO519102Nov 8, 2018
I was really glad they were able to get me in last minute, but this isn't the typical aveda experience I'm used to. I used to go to the aveda downtown. I'd get a hand massage or shoulder massage everyone I get a hair treatment. On top of the lack of my typical
Aveda experience my stylist colored my hair very dark brown, almost black. I told her to keep is medium brown. Normally this isn't too big of an issue, but to lighten the hair is expensive. This happened a few weeks ago and I'm still upset. Also while my color was setting she didn't pull my hair from the front face and just let my hair hang on part of my face. I sent them a review with the automated system, no response from owner or manager. I left a bad review and thought maybe a manager would respond, no such luck.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Eli S.Denver, CO1161Jan 15, 2019
Warning, I've had a hell of a bad week so I might be a little heated writing this...but the following are still facts.
I called a day in advance to make an appointment with Namaste for a Groupon I had purchased. The woman who answered was extremely friendly and helpful and we made plans for a 12:30 appointment the following day.
I drive to the address printed on the Groupon voucher (which you would think would be a viable source of information), drive around for ten minutes looking for parking, then walk another twelve minutes to find that the location wasn't even open and that they are now on 9th and Corona. (Come to find there are other people here that this has happened to as well....yay).
So I am at these locked doors at 12:28pm and I call the salon to tell them what happened and that I'll be late. Of course by now I'm a peeved that the lady who made my appointment didn't even ask if I knew they changed locations. If they already were having problems with people knowing where they are....wouldn't they start MAKING SURE people are aware?
I got an answering machine and told them I was hustling to the other location. Someone calls me back and asks how far away I am, I say "2 minutes, and then I just have to find parking". As I'm pulling up the woman tells me they will have to reschedule. No apology for THEIR mistake. Dude, I was ON TIME at your CLOSED location that no one seems to tell anyone about!!!
I'm pissed I already paid these people through groupon, because I don't even want to walk through their door anymore. Peace.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Crystal L.Menomonee Falls, WI158202Nov 5, 2017
Had a great experience with Samantha, the stylist who did my hair. She did an excellent job on my hair and was very personable! The downfall of my time at Namaste Salon was with the front desk worker, I believe her name was Erin. Upon my arrival I felt like I was inconveniencing her and didn't feel super welcome. I tried to ask about products and she seemed to have little to no knowledge on the products the salon was selling. As I was getting my hair done I took note that she seemed to sit and not really partake in anything I would expect an employee to be doing while she is on the clock.
I would give Namaste 5 stars with some slight improvements pertaining to the treatment and friendliness upon arrival. First impressions make a HUGE difference :)Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Sarah R.Denver, CO307332Dec 6, 2017
I wanted to cut off ~1 inch of my hair and get a deep conditioning treatment. It's winter, so my hair gets SUPER dry, and I know that my hair does best with ~1 inch off instead of a "trim." The girl who cut my hair said since I wanted to keep my hair long (it is already past my shoulders and plenty long) that she would just cut off what I needed.
I don't think she really even cut anything off of my hair. It's now 2 weeks later and I have booked elsewhere for another haircut.
I've been there before and I do love the atmosphere, products, and friendly staff! Just not happy with the lack of haircut when I paid for a haircut.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Amy M.Denver, CO18714Apr 5, 2019
I'm really confused and disappointed.
I get my hair cut once a year for my birthday. The past two years have been at Namaste and I have had no complaints. They're so close to my apartment building. Last night, I went online to make a reservation- I'm pumped because it's my birthday tomorrow. I schedule with a stylist named Jade for a 6pm slot. I'm cruising on Instagram and just look up her name and see that she is not even at Namaste anymore. I've been calling their number since the place is supposed to open at 9am to confirm my appointment and I keep getting a message that they're "closed, but we're opening back up March 20th! See you then." It's April 5th. I continue calling, but no answer. I call their training salon and their phone has been disconnected. I'm guessing they're closed? If you're still closed, then make it apparent on your website! Update your voicemail! Do not allow an excited birthday girl schedule a yearly haircut only to get stood up! You ruined my birthday.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Laura L.Huntsville, AL3065665986Aug 14, 2009
I followed a stylist here (Jenn) from a salon in the Highlands, which may have simply gone out of business because I can't seem to put my finger on it. However, after my first haircut at Namaste, Jenn also disappeared. I think this may be a theme with me.
This is a very tiny shop that carries Aveda product - like 2-3 seats and one sink. I actually love the vintagey feel of the place. The owner was in there both times I got my hair cut and was always super chatty and recommended great restaurants in neighborhood; which was key because I had just moved to the city from the burbs.
I tried a new stylist after Jenn left, and simply couldn't go back after that - maybe a mullet looks good on some people, but not me.
Namaste: it's not you, it's me.Helpful 8Thanks 0Love this 3Oh no 0 - Amanda R.New York, NY252343Feb 10, 2019
Irina was great. She gave me a great haircut, in under and hour including wash and blow dry, and she was lovely to talk to.
I'm not usually very picky about my hair, any stylist will do because it's just hair and a trim is a trim, but she showed me that I should be. Her trim was not the same as the last one I got or the one before. I'll definitely be going back to Irina.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0
