You'd be blessed to see the beautiful 6'9 270 lbs bodybuilder aka Mr. Vienna IKe Catcher along with his crew working out, he's know for lifting woman above his head and making them swoon(well deserved) For only $10 a day you could work out in the muscle pit which has no cardio all weights and it's a one time entry thats that's a full day pass which I think is more than reasonable with a $200 yearly pass which is very cost-effective compared to monthly gems in the area that are over 100 each per month. There are many people here that are out of shape mixed with professional bodybuilders, Ron's of tourist working out for the day and big fans of Arnold.
There is a nice stadium that surrounds it that provides a very quiet little area outside of the hustle and bustle of muscle beach also Venice beach boardwalk or many people stop for either a smoke or to have lunch or just a cool down. Every few months there's competitions which go back to 80's.
This place has a lot of history and the energy is profound and amazing and I love passing through and taking a rest in the bleacher's admiring all the beautiful people.
There's something absolutely special working out underneath the sign with the ocean breeze as well as an ocean view.Helpful 3Thanks 1Love this 4Oh no 0 - Jan 1, 2022
Time for me to Muscle my way into these reviews, with this review of Venice's Muscle Beach.
Many years ago it moved from Santa Monica Pier, a little ways south along the Pacific Coast, to the little magical haven of Venice. These days it's overrun by the homeless and the tourists, but for a long time, Venice had a certain unique magic and was even a little sleepy, if not for the colourful eclecticness and the infamous and unique open-air gym filled with some of the most impressive physical specimens on display anywhere in the US.
This is definitely more a boy-gym than a girl-gym although occasionally you will find some ripped hottie in neon pink or yellow, but for the most parts it's very very big dudes, most of them on a steady diet of steroids, but there are some who didn't even use a single enhancement - I would know, because I've got a decent physique that way, not that I have a problem with chemicals for other people, but I'm very wary of them in myself and try to avoid them even though avoiding chemicals and living in the US is the biggest contradiction imaginable.
I wish it was a free open-air gym, but there's not a lot of free stuff in LA (or New York) anymore, partly because Democratic taxpayers don't like to pay for free stuff unless it's stuff that everyone needs and uses - as opposed to Republicans who don't like to pay for free stuff unless it's a free NFL stadium for a billionaire who will then charge $140 for entry to the nosebleeds.
Anyway I left some money here at Muscle Beach, buried in the sand, last time I was here.
Next time I go back, Beach better have my money.Helpful 21Thanks 0Love this 19Oh no 0 - Sep 15, 2022
Muscle Beach (Venice) is merely an outdoor weightlifting platform around since the 80s with a weights, sand box, rope climbing, and bars. Basically it's a playground for people who can't reach their own balloon knots.

Such friendly vibes all around. Is this what no Seattle freeze feels like? First time playing with the traveling rings and stuck around long enough to finally feel accomplished. Jason, if you ever stumble upon this review you're a rockstar man. Thanks for the tips and advice to me, my friends, and the other strangers trying the rings out. Ropes, pull-up bars, and balancing beams also offer fun experiences to not only exercise, but generally play around with and have a blast.

For $10 you can experience a stellar workout with hundreds of bystanders cheering you on. Imagine your favorite gym with no walls standing in the middle of a busy beach filled with perfectly chiseled bodies. If you like seeing abs and buns of steel this place is for you!

While this is an iconic and beautiful outdoor gym, the people who run it are unprofessional and engage in favoritism and poor management.

"rude staff". Worker yelled at me and threatened me to leave for taking videos at a gym that people come to for that reason, and he's like no one does it when i'm here, so it's hes personal need to be a jerk, I've been here before and nobody ever gave me a hard time about it until today. Felt like he was targeting me and being racist. he looks white and has goatee style beard. I was also not ok with his rude comments and him trying to talk down to me as if he has power over me.

Great Gym. Love the fact that is an outdoor gym. Also the sand pit was great with the workout bars, wish they would bring the climbing ropes back though

Extremely disappointed with my visit today. I have been to this gym before and never had an issue with taking pictures and videos. There was also other people having a whole photo shoot there last time I was there. Today I was approached by a very rude worker yelling at me saying I need to leave because I was taking videos. People come to this gym from all around the world to take videos and pictures. I stayed and continued my workout and he came and started taking my weights off my bench press bar when I was not done using them just to be a jerk. He then started making rude comments like "let me know where you work so I can do the same to you," " you don't own this gym to do whatever you want." Not sure what his problem was but he seemed very selective with who he was targeting. I was just minding my own business and he felt the need to come ruin my experience. I suggest you guys get better staff and not let them talk down to people. Extremely rude and uncalled for.
