First time trying Moxie's and it was a good experience. My partner goes to Moxies often for special occasions and unfortunately noted that the salmon portion they give you for the salad has gotten smaller. However, the salad was pretty good and aside from salmon portion, I have no complaints.
We both loved their Tiny Tuna Tacos and would have ordered more to have it as a dinner dish instead!
We also ordered their Bacon Cheeseburger which was okay - nothing special about it that stood out to us.
Moving onto the drink... We tried their Skinny Mango Margarita as recommended by the waiter hoping it would be on the sweeter side, but was dead wrong. We had to ask the waitress 3 times to add more sweetness to it (my partner likes sweet drinks) which she ended up telling us she'll have the bartender make another one in a tall glass instead (I guess to add more mango juice). Not the greatest drink to try in our opinion, but apparently it's a popular ordered drink according to the waitress!Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0Business owner information

Fantastic food and service, loved the ambience and value. The Chicken Madeira Rigatoni was amazing, will be back!

Just watched cbc and they wouldn't recommend moxie Sorry going somewhere else.Probably any place then this place.l don't want to get sick ThxxCBC. I'd give you no stars but they don't give you that choice

For Saturday brunch time, the restaurant was quite quiet. A nice break from the hustle and bustle from my usual brunch place (WhiteSpot).
The dinning room is very roomy and comfortable. Staff were very friendly and knowledgeable.
The food was okay. Unfortunately it seemed like the food was precooked and under a heat lamp until someone ordered it.

Staying in the Sandman the restaurant is attached to. Ordered the same food we do at the Victoria location. This was not the same food. In fact, it was largely inedible. Staff clearly hate their jobs. Front of house acted like it was a huge imposition to bring me out ketchup packets for our kid, when the ones I requested weren't in the bag. Honestly, McDonalds has better chicken burgers and fries for a fraction of the price.

First time trying Moxie's! Totally nice experience! Good service with awesome food.
We ordered Nachos for share and the portion is huge! And I tried the beyond meat burger and it's totally delicious and unforgettable!

I was invited to return and took the opportunity to support Moxie's takeout this past week under the new Covid restrictions. I ordered a rare new york steak which was ready for pick up right on time. When I returned home I realized the steak was close to well-done. I called immediately to let them know; the team member very quickly apologized and asked if I'd be able to return for a replacement. I live nearby so that was not a problem.
After ~10 minutes of waiting at Moxie's I was home again with a heftier bag of food. I must say the second order looked like a presentable full meal vs the previous order which for whatever reason looked like the mashed potatoes were half eaten and had two sad quarter brussel sprouts but I digress...
Mashed potatoes were delicious and buttery, and the brussel sprouts cooked well. The new steak was the correct temperature, tasted okay but way too tough. So unfortunately I was only able to eat a few bites and composted the rest.

Mar 13, 2021Previous reviewAt +$18 the beyond meat burger and the cheeseburgers (~$14) were severely overpriced. They looked McDonald's double cheesburgers (nothing wrong with McD's except we were dining at Moxie's). While they tasted fine, they were incredibly small and sad. Once upon a time Moxie's made awesome burgers. Not any more. I also got a MAJOR case of stomach problems the next day after having the burgers.
There was also a large group of people in the back patio area. We could see there were at least 12 people in the group. We came here for Valentine's Day & the staff were all so friendly! Especially our server Patrick, he was very accommodating & made our experience very enjoyable. We'll definitely be coming back for another date in the future!

Nine tables in the whole restaurant occupied with people and I waited 45 minutes to pay. Wasn't even my waiter who gave me my bill. Just super super slow... Three individuals were working. Unsure why nine tables was unmanageable.

This review is only for room service and food during quarantine. The estimated time for delivery is 30-45 minutes. Many times it was well within that time frame, even so the food was cold on several occasions (eg my cheese was not gooey in my omelet-it was hard and cold and toast was so hard it was actually inedible.). From reading the reviews I understand it is a test kitchen which would explain the fruit and baguette left off order. The food itself is only average, at best. This is not a place I would choose to come for a meal.
