This was the only theater nearby and my little sister and I gave it a try. No fountain drinks or any amenities really.. but very nice service!

Good Theater that has stadium seating and is clean while the staff is very friendly. Although it's not flash in appearance it is comfortable and the theater has great sound quality and prices on refreshments.

Movie theater was ok but pretty janky. It felt clean enough just old and like it needed a lot of TLC. It was cheap so I guess you get what you pay for...

I am ready for this place to have some competition.
First, they don't respect legal gun owners.
Second, high prices. They charge a fee if you don't use "paper money".
Third, the popcorn tasted old and stale. And I watched it pop.
Fourth, they show advertising for local "adult" (read sex shop) store in a CHILDREN'S MOVIE!!!!!!!!!!!
And when I complained to the manager (who looked like a high school kid) he said that if he stopped the advertising reel he would be fired and that I could call the office on Monday.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Eddie E.Jennings, FL012132Jan 3, 2016
Time for a new movie theater in Rome. LlThis one continues to just barely get by on the fact they are the only game in town, it is old and needs attention, they keep it ok clean but the details are lost in the owners maximization of Profit to spend less and charge more. Today we are here to see Star Wars and they are out of Dr Pepper, napkins, butter and salt.
Take time and drive out of town, this place needs an overhaul and a new attitude toward customer satisfaction.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Jeffrey G.Summerville, GA15Sep 10, 2017
This dump has all the quality and ambiance of a dollar theater, yet it is still the only choice in Rome to watch first-run movies. I almost always make the drive further afield to enjoy my movies in a decent theater, but this means driving all the way to Dalton, Fort Oglethorpe, or Chattanooga. Not feeling like all that driving, I went here to see Stephen King's It tonight, and I was instantly sorry.
Where to begin? The outdated lobby is ill-equipped to handle a large crowd waiting to get into the theater on premiere nights. The large crowds and poor crowd control make for a chaotic scene. And this is after getting gouged both at the box office and the concession stand, both of which charge an extra fee for using cards instead of cash! Is this theater that hard up for cash? That's a sleazy tactic I would expect from a restaurant in Chinatown, SF, not a large movie theater.
Upon finally getting into the theater, the shoddy state of the facility is just depressing. The screen has large sags and gaps running along the top, there are ceiling fans running at full speed, indicating that they can't afford to maintain their HVAC system, the wall lighting shines very brightly in your eyes during the entire film, which combined with the overly dim projection, makes dark scenes in movies almost unwatchable. The sound system is muddled and underpowered. Seriously, I have better sound from my $140 Vizio sound bar at home!
When is Rome going to get a decent theater? Rome has been limping along with this sad excuse for far too long! If a large company like Regal would study how many people drive all the way out of Rome for their movies, they would realized that this is an untapped market!
There is one good thing I can say about the theater: They don't allow guns. It seems that has all the trump-loving gun nuts' panties in a twist, but us sane folks who don't feel like watching a movie surrounded by wannabe Rambos compensating for their tiny manhoods are grateful!Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Susan R.Rome, GA965955Jan 11, 2016
I've never had a bad experience here... Unless you want to count having to watch the transformers movie that one time... It was terrible, but I digress.
My husband and I have decided to attend more movies at the cinema, so we go every couple of weeks now, usually at the Mt. Berry location. My only complaint is the condition of the parking lot. Large ruts are almost invisible in the dark until you've practically driven into them, so use extreme caution upon leaving.. Now we exit the lot by driving in front of the building and into the road, problem solved.
Popcorn is good. The kids running the concession counter are friendly, and we've spoken to the management a time or two and they're great. Theatre is older, but they do keep it clean.
I would give them 6 stars if I could.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Shawn M.Atlanta, GA211460Oct 23, 2012
Run...and run fast. This is the WORST movie theater!!!
My daughter and I went to see a movie and few weeks ago. The "BOYS" sent us to the wrong theater. There was no sign directing the customers to the correct one. By chance our theater was next to another theater door. We were told to go into the "Left Door." After sitting there for about 10 minutes, it hit me...we are in the wrong one. As we exited I looked back to find a sign. Written in pin on a 8x10 piece of paper taped to the wall was the names of the shows. Our theater was the door to the right. We missed 15 minutes+. On top of that...the CO2 wasn't working when we got our drinks...they gave us 2 "Warm" diet pepsi's from a bottle with no ice and our popcorn for a grand total of $11. No...sorry sir...our machine is broken...just next...
I tried to call management, but couldn't find the number until today. I had forgotten about it. I talked to "Robin Miller." I was told she was the top of the food chain. I talked to her with no degree of professionalism on her part. Didn't get a "I'm sorry kiss my _ _ _ or nothing. Then...finally a "I'm sorry." No...well, I will redo it for you sir. Just...sorry. Then she finally asked me, "what do you think I should do?" Well Miss...if I have to tell you how to do your job, then maybe my family should look for a new theater elsewhere. It's all about business 101.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Harvey M.Rome, GA03Nov 17, 2015
We went to see Spectra tonight. We could hear sounds coming through the walls of an adjacent theater. Also the screen needs to be replaced. There were vertical shadows across the screen ever 2 feet.
I couldn't recommend anyone going to this location.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Stacey P.Atlanta, GA554244Mar 21, 2012
Worst seats of any theater I've ever been to in my life. No exaggeration. I'd be more comfortable watching all the Beverly Hills Cops off of a 13" black & white tv, whilst sitting on a cinder block in the hood.
Only reason I'm not giving this place 1 star is because a theater is a theater is a theater. The kids that work there do their job. Ticket & concession prices suck anywhere you go, so I can't fault them for something that's major-league lame across the country.
Take some of that popcorn money and invest in some decent seating. I paid to sit through a movie, not one of my loser friend's weddings. Movie-going should be an enjoyable experience.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0
