Always a favorite place to go. Call ahead to reserve. Service is great and food is authentic.

I love all the sushi and our favorite appetizer is the Kinoku Tofu. It's fried tofu with mushrooms and a brown sauce. Kids love the chicken katsu, the best version of chicken nuggets ever!
Dec 16, 2016Previous reviewBest local eat in Suwanee.
They gave a good selection of ramen bowls and soba/udon. Great for something down the road (but not as good as Umaido which is hard to beat for ramen).
The appetizers are delish! Especially the sushito peppers and gyoza. The Yakatori is a hit with my 2yo.
You also can't go wrong with their extensive sushi options. - Jan 22, 2024
This is a great spot for sushi! That's all we went for so I cannot comment on their other menu items, but I can tell you the fish is fresh. We went on a Friday at lunch and sat at the sushi bar. The ladies who waited on us were extremely nice and definitely want to make your experience a good one. Two of our party ordered a large hot sake to split and it arrived in a very neat way. The carafe of sake was placed inside another bowl that had hot water, so it stayed hot. Very smart. I was a little disappointed that they did not have sake cocktails as I'm not very fond of straight sake, but it was fine..I ordered a glass of Riesling instead. We ordered many rolls and nigiri which I won't render all of them, but here's a few: salmon and octopus nigiri (sushi. You order by the piece, unlike some places that if you order one salmon sushi, it automatically comes with two pieces), Kiss of Fire roll, Yummy roll, Crazy roll, spicy scallop hand rolls, Uemo roll, and Red Carpet roll. I think there were one out two more, but I don't remember what they were. Everything was delicious and fresh. The only one I probably wouldn't order again was the Yummy roll. It had very small pieces of fish and a lot of rice and it was fried, so it was kind of tasteless. But I don't mind having one like that...and I'm sure someone else will love it. I'm going to post pictures, but I probably won't remember which is which. Haha.

A solid Japanese restaurant!!
I came at 6:30pm on a weekday night and practically got the last table because it was full! That was surprising for me to see since I don't normally see restaurants busy on weekday nights.
There is a large selection of sushi and my friends enjoyed their dishes as well.
I ordered the tempura udon, which came with 5 pieces of tempera as well as bok choy, etc.
Good portions and good ambiance, nothing to complain about!Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0 - Yolanda W.GA, GA04Mar 1, 2024
Mori House is our go to sushi spot and at times the only place to eat and enjoy the experience. Their sushi is always fresh, their service is beyond perfection and kind in every way. Fancy and relaxed all at once. Cooked and raw entrees are always perfect. Our favorites are the Ichiban roll, kiss of fire, and the spicy tuna on crunchy rice. The Ahi Poke Salad is a must!! And the Himachikama (sp) is perfection every time.
I can't forget the shrimp fried rice - it's truly a masterpiece. When the head chef is out of the country - they don't serve it!!! So you know it's ridiculously GREAT!! The staff - never a bad experience. They always great us and we are always welcomHelpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - 17651112Feb 27, 20231 check-in
Fooood here was so amazing!!! I would definitely say Mori House is the best authentic Japanese sushi place here in Gwinnett County. I recommend you to make reservations coming here with a large party as they get super busy and the place is small. Overall, if I could this restaurant deserves 10 stars.

Bad sushi and funky fish dishes. Shari was wet and grainy - it was the 2nd time in my whole lifetime of eating sushi that I had this bad rice, (the other I deserved it; insisting for a random place).
Hamachi kama was vile and they even manages to bring it out to serve; for those of you who didn't know these come frozen in packages and is one of the easier dish to prepare and is not that hard to figure out whether your product is fresh or not. Alas, they decided to serve it. Good karaage tho - lolHelpful 0Thanks 2Love this 0Oh no 0 - Jun 29, 2022
We went for a weekday lunch and it was already a pretty full house despite only being open ~30 minutes by the time we came.
- Lunch sets come with miso soup (tasted pretty standard) and salad (dressing is on the watery side, was just meh overall).
- Hot green tea is free, but you'll need to ask for it. Tasted very watered down compared to other Japanese restaurants
-Chirashi don- $22. This is huge. Fish is pretty fresh. Sushi rice is decently flavored. Overall I probably prefer Circle Sushi's chirashi don though.
- Otoro (fatty tuna) nigiri- $12.50 a piece ($25 for two), which is a bit more expensive compared to other places in Atlanta. It was decent. I prefer Shoya Izayaka's, which is $22 for 2 pieces
- Bento Misoyaki- $18. This comes with black cod (really good, but on the smaller size), two pieces of croquette, 4 pieces California roll, ginger salad, and rice. Overall a pretty decent deal.
I'd be interested in coming back to try dinner menu items sometime.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Melanie C.Honolulu, HI02952Apr 20, 2023
Mori House was a great find, as it has been hard to find quality, authentic Japanese food in North Atlanta. It is a clean, cozy restaurant with just the right amount of decor. The menu provides a great selection, which was great. In addition to the food pictured, we got the hamachi carpaccio, spicy tuna crispy rice, sashimi, and a chirashi don. The quality of the fish was great, which is an important to find at sushi restaurants. The servers were very attentive and helpful, ensuring that allergies were considered and that we could put in our orders before the kitchen closed. Overall, I would recommend this spot for quality Japanese food and would go again!
