I had not heard of MY (Mooyah) until my older brother introduced me to the idea, I didn't even know their was one in San Jose. We came in on a really hot day after trying to figure out where and what type of food to eat.
So finally we agreed. And we went.
It was equally as hot inside as it was outside. What the HECK?
Phew.
The first thing that I noticed from the menu is the BYO- Build Your Own, make your own style section. Cool. But, I wanted something already made to eat, hand to mouth to stomach, NOW. Identically, both of us got a Bacon cheeseburger and seasoned fries to match. SO GAY!!!!!!!. That's so sweet Ivan. I really liked the soft-cook of the beef, simple condiments and harder, not overcooked seasoned fries. I had some ketchup and a soda with my meal too. We both loved our food. Repeat customer, f'sho.

Shakes, turkey burgers and kids meals too on the menu.

My boyfriend and I were in the area visiting family at Good Sam. I found on Yelp that Mooyah Burger was 5 minutes away from the hospital, so we made a quick stop there for dinner. We've had good experiences at the Mooyah franchise in Morgan Hill, but the food from this location didn't meet my expectations.
I ordered a mushroom swiss burger with the iceberg lettuce wrap. The ingredients tasted fresh, and I especially noted how crisp the lettuce was. The flavors, however, were not there for me. The burger was bland to me overall.
I had a bite of my boyfriend's cheddar bacon burger, and I was also not a fan. The potato bread was very soggy and did not hold together. The smoked bacon was too chewy for my liking. The burger had a sweet bbq sauce that tasted more like teriyaki sauce.
Despite the burgers being misses, there were a couple of pros to Mooyah. The fries were on point, and customer service was great. The staff members in particular were all super friendly, and I appreciated how quickly our food was made.Helpful 3Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0 - 5704012345Nov 5, 2018
Came here on a Sunday evening with my husband. Parking was very easy and there was no line when we entered. We were quickly greeted by a nice lady at the cashier. She was very patient as it was a first time there and we are very indecisive. She was very friendly when we ordered our Oktoberfest hot dog, sweet potato fries, and a custom burger.
I downloaded the Mooyah app afterwards and by the time I finished with that, our food was already ready! I was very happy with how quickly everything was made. Overall the food was pretty good. The fries were the best part. I love sweet potato fries and I was happy with how large the personal size was. The hot dog was also good but it was definitely more expensive than it should have been. My husband burger was also okay but it was pretty small.
4 stars for easy parking, cleanliness, friendly employees, and good potato fries. Minus one star for the prices :/Helpful 3Thanks 0Love this 3Oh no 0Business owner information

Sometimes life throws you for a loop, and believe it or not, Yelping is really not that important. I just realized I didn't write my review of this place because I ate here when my dad was convalescing in the rehabilitation center across the street after a fall he took. Even on a Friday afternoon, parking was a pain in the strip mall lot, even though this particular spot was not that busy. I had a $6.68 Mooyah Burger, which was adequately beefy and a bit oversauced (photo: http://bit.ly/2LAxtNs), and a $3.49 medium helping of Hand-Cut French Fries, which were too arid to savor (photo: http://bit.ly/2LBQ23T). Obviously the memory of my dining experience was clouded, but I think a standout combo of burger and fries could have given me more memorable pleasure.
FOOD - 3 stars...as middling as middling can be
AMBIANCE - 2.5 stars...just a fast food joint
SERVICE - 2.5 stars...they just take the order
TOTAL - 3 stars...I'll leave it at middling

Stay AWAY from this dangerous place!
That picture fails to capture the lack of concern for safety. NOT A SINGLE employee in a mask. No attempt at social distancing. No sort of organization. It's all chaos. I can handle the 35 minute supplementary wait, but the complete lack of concern for community safety is staggering. This place needs to be shutdown!Helpful 5Thanks 0Love this 3Oh no 0 - 1245321133Jun 4, 2018
My husband and I were running around town because our home was being showed to perspective buyers so you have to beat it outta there
Back to MOOYAH; we wanted to check it out so we popped in. We decided on just shakes for the both of us since we weren't super hungry. They had sweet potato fries I saw come out and the looked delicious!
I got a vanilla shake with whip cream and my hub got the Hershey chocolate one. Mine was a perfect 10 and his had too much syrup but he liked it. They make shakes the old fashioned way in those special blenders.
We will definitely return to try the burgers and fries!Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Jun 7, 2018
It was a little busy when we came here just after 1pm on a Saturday. Their menu was simple and a lot to choose from. I ordered the A1 Cheeseburger and my friend ordered the Double Diablo along with chili cheese fries. I added mushrooms in my burger which was free and what the girl recommended.
We sat down and waited for our names to be called to pick up our food. The A1 Cheeseburger was good and was a little small to me. It might make some people full. The Chili Cheese Fries were not bad and it got a little much as we finished it since all of the sauce was in one area. It would definitely be good to share.
Burgers were good here and I might come back to try something else on their menu.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Aug 21, 2017
Pretty solid however, pricey for the portion. Gavin and I came here one evening and it was only because he wanted a burger but I couldn't get myself to eat at McDonald's. I wanted to knock off a bookmark and didn't want the temptation to order a burger, fries, and 20 McNuggets.
Gavin had a burger, I added cheddar and he wanted apple sauce instead of fries. It surprises me to no end that he loves fruit and I am the exact opposite. I ordered the chicken club (I love chicken, I love avocado, and I love bacon). I did not opt for any sides but I did agree to a side of their spicy sauce. I'm sure it was high in fat but that offset the no fries so it's a balanced meal.
The girl that took our order wasn't welcoming but the cooks were friendly and charming. Gavin enjoyed his burger.. his patty looked juicy. My selection was good but nothing out of the ordinary. The bacon was slightly overlooked but the vegetables were fresh.
Not bad if you want a burger and in the area.Helpful 10Thanks 0Love this 12Oh no 0 - 54273455Mar 19, 2020
The images just make it seem like there are so many options here, but it's actually a bit disappointing. No chicken patties, just your basic topping options and really nothing extra to give them a leg up. They do have vegetarian and gluten free options if that's what you're looking for.

What a bummer... got a grilled cheese and the cheese isn't melted and got some chicken strips missing the sauces. I selected bbq and ranch for the chicken strips and got 10 packets of ketchup. Don't really feel like going back out to remedy the issue as we are in a quarantine and it's pouring rain. Meh..
