Monterey Court Studio Galleries & Cafe is an historic motor court now repurposed into an shopping, entertainment, & restaurant destination. It includes 12 diverse artisan shops & galleries, a courtyard stage for live music & events, covered marketplace areas for day sellers, and a Cafe/bar with indoor & patio seating. The merchants offer fine & modern art, jewelry, fair trade & organic clothing, mosaics, murals, photography, there's even a doggie bakery! Cafe is open daily. Music in the courtyard evenings Wednesday - Saturday nights.

It couldn't be more lovely! Kelly who runs it couldn't be nicer. She helped my mom and me with a handicapped parking spot. We saw the Brothers Reed, and the sound level was great. A really personal venue. The food was great, servers terrific and desserts to die for. I highly recommend the Chocolate Torte!

This place is great! For several years we have gone about once a week for dinner, drinks and music. It has a pleasant outdoor setting. Misters and heaters make it comfortable both summer and winter. Food is excellent and well priced. They feature wonderful local musicians. The waitstaff is very friendly and accommodating. Frank is our favorite! We always hope he helps us :) This place is one of the reasons I love Tucson!

One of my faves for a night out. Music. Dance floor. Food. Drinks. It's all good stuff. Been here for some of the best local talent. And I will certainly be back for more.

A great vibe for dancing and food. The music is varied and mostly local artists. Also the crowd tends to be 50 and above. Prices are usually reasonable. Check out their website for events. I often go to YouTube to see if I like the band. Then I can make a choice for music I can enjoy.
Aug 30, 2020Previous reviewUpdates on my last review. Great place to hang out and hear artists. We've been fans of Stuart & Kate who have performed here with Pede Ronstadt. Today we came to hear a lunch casual concert with several of Stuart's new songs as he just released her new album. His colleague Annie Hawkins joined him in a few songs. Very nice setup.
As for the food, they had brunch. It was decent; but I just had hot tea. Guess I just came for the show.

Saturday night was a miss. The opening act, Duolino, they need work. A lot of work. Headliner Sophia Rankin and her band.....what a nice set. Tight sound and Sophia has a great voice.
A server did not show i heard. Service was slow and plodding. we continually had to ask for things. Good Reuben, bad pot pie. Worse service.

What a great venue in an old part of Tucson not far from I10. Its a former motel converted to a music venue. Most of the motel's rooms are now artist studios. Clever idea.
Check their website, their calendar is very full with a wide variety of acts.
Servers work hard. Its not easy to serve in a dinner music venue atmosphere.
Food is mixed. Descriptions sound great but execution is 5/10. Portions are mostly on the small side and pricing is aggressive.
I wish the audience was more in-tuned to the music instead of table talking.
We enjoyed our visit and will keep the venue on our radar.

Wonderful variety of live music, from rock to folk. The food is basic but hearty and priced well. The stage is outdoors so it feels safer to us than indoor places.
