Expensive little lounge with NO good food. Incredibly slow service. Ambiance is boring. Many better choices in the area.

Below is the response I got from my review of dinner at Monroe's. It was very poor and obviously a canned response. As I mentioned in my review, WE ARE THREE LOCALS - we dined in, we didn't stay. Did anyone actually read my review and comprehend it? Also below that is my review. What a joke!

Filet Mignon

Unfortunately, our experience was not the best. We are three locals who chose to come out to Monroe's for the "upscale dining" and cocktail experience promised on the website...I wonder if the bartender really knew how to make any cocktails, as our margaritas were less than stellar and we were not offered a cocktail and/or wine menu....asked about coffee and told they could get some from the hotel lobby...the mozzarella wedges were good enough, but the onion rings and fries had a strange, smoky taste to them....The burger was average, the salmon and asparagus were okay. The $29 filet was over cooked, having ordered med-rare....When it was mentioned to the server, she let the bartender and know. The bartender then came over and ended up taking the steak off the bill. The excuse was the filet had been frozen and didn't have time to thaw, so the cooking was extremely overdone trying to compensate for that...Why is a $29 filet frozen? And why would they not be thawed by the time the dining room opened? Supposed to be 8 oz but definitely was not... The atmosphere felt less than upscale, and while our server was attentive, nothing made us feel like sticking around for another drink or dessert...What a disappointment...Lack of concern or care for those who walked in the door.....

Are dinner at Monroes Lounge in The Best Wester Loveland this evening. I had their special the dry aged steak. It was one of the best steaks I have ever had. It was so tender you could cut it with a butter knife. I would highly recommend Monroes Lounge.

I just ordered over 100.00 in delivery from this joint, and they literally called me to charge me separately for extra ranch. A 25 cent charge. I tipped 15 dollars. If you can't let 25 cents of ranch go, you can't have my business. Enjoy my money Monroe lounge - you will never see it again.

So the food showed up. Unfortunately, my 2 star review can longer be upheld. Cuban sandwich was dripping, the Loveland Philly was so salty it is literally inedible. Ranch ramekins after all of that we're only 1/2 full, and the breading on the chicken fried steak was so soggy it was easily piled up with a spoon next to the chicken.

It ended up in the trash, and I had to make dinner because everyone was still hungry.

Fries were actually pretty good.

1 star for good fries.

Nice laid back crowd and one of the better bartenders in the area describe this place.

Conveniently close to the I-25 at US 34 this is a nice friendly low-key and modern lounge. Fridays @ 8 are karakoe until 12ish.

I really like this place and I was made to feel at home. A solid 4.

Thank goodness for Miss Dani when she was there working, bartending, serving!
She was a huge asset to this restaurant.
Too bad they didn't put her into management right away. She could have had this place shaped up and flourishing in a matter of weeks. She's a great manager and they missed the opportunity.
She saved the day more than once.

Friendly staff and good food for a decent price. Portions are huge. They delivered to our room which was nice. Would recommend it if you want a tasty meal but don't want to leave the hotel. Only downfall is their menu doesn't show any kid friendly options, which was confusing because they did in fact have a kids menu- it is something you have to ask for if you want small portions for the kiddos. Otherwise a pretty nice place to eat.
