Mohawk Tavern Seafood Restaurant

A Monroe classic and staple. Great steaks and oysters! I never turn down a chance to go when I come back in town. My father used to say this was his favorite restaurant, it's been open for forever!

Locals rave about this place but in my opinion it's a pass. Lack service and food quality is a minimum

The fried oysters were great. Big, juicy and not too much batter. A lot of places will serve you an over-fried, nearly rock hard bite sized oysters but not here. They were the best I've had around this town.

The classic seafood restaurant in town. Cooked, or not (oysters), to perfection. Great wait staff.

The Mohawk is a staple in Monroe! The best of everything seafood! We always get the oysters on the half shell and the seafood platter is really good. My friends have had the spaghetti and they say it is the best in town.

Great burger & onion rings! Great service too! A little dark for my personal preference but then it is called a tavern.

Good tasting food and not too expensive. This is the only restaurant I've ever been to where literally everything on the menu I'd eat. All of it. Good staff also. If I'm getting seafood in Monroe in going here.

Delicious! 1st time to visit from Texas and we would definitely return! My family of 4 ordered the Combination platter 4 different ways and everyone loved their choices. The food was HOT, well seasoned, and some of the best fried catfish I've ever had! The waiter was great, I wish I could remember his name, and give him credit. He recommended his favorites when my daughters asked, and he was spot on! We're so glad we found this gem of a spot in Monroe!
