Mixtape is a burger place in Berlin. The food is good, the wait is a little long, the music is great (90s rap, think Biggie and Tupac).
We came here with our family for dinner. This one man show had such unique quirks. Mixtape's menu was rap themed. The burger combos were songs from classic rap songs.
West coast burgers were 100% beef. East coast burgers are 90% beef and 10% lamb.
Burgers are served on a toasted sesame bagel. The food is served on a granite slab. Condiments are Costco-sized on a metal trolley and you get your own.
One guy runs the show- he is the cashier, cook. You self serve and bus your plate after. Be prepared to wait. Remember, one guy is doing everything!
I loved my burger with the crunchy bacon and fried egg. Everyone enjoyed their burger as well. The only thing I didn't love was that the burger was cooked well done. I wasn't really given a choice for medium or medium rare.
Other than that, it was a great inexpensive place for dinner.Helpful 10Thanks 0Love this 10Oh no 0 - Kwai L.Forest Hills, NY280302678Apr 28, 2019
Going to MixTape was a random find in Berlin on a travel night when our family of five were starving. We came basically on the yelp reviews here. The food was great and the atmosphere was fun. I love the burger names of east coast rap songs versus west cost rap songs.
Keep in mind Germany will cook beef to well done and not really give you the option otherwise.
I had the Oh La La La - Cheese and Mushroom Burger, it was super juicy, definitely of the better burger category.
This location was a little understaffed though, the same guy who took the order had to cook all of it.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Stephanie G.Hohenfels, Germany2814Dec 1, 2017
Burgers served on a sesame bagel, super cheesy and fresh. Cheese fries were crispy and salty. Hip hop playing in the background makes the burger even better. Rhubarb lemonade to wash it down was amazing. Would recommend for sure.

My favourite place in Berlin so far. All burgers are named after classic rap songs. When you visit, try number 5 from the all-beef menu and french fries. The menu is divided into two sections: all beef and 90% beef 10% lamb, I personally prefer the first one. The number 5 includes an egg and some sweet sauce on top. They also have a couple different kinds of beers which makes it a perfect place to relax in the late afternoon and have a quick bite.

Small and edgy, with only about 7 tables, but a good "hole in the wall" place. They play American r&b and rap from the late 90's/early 2000's, which was great for someone my age. Husband and I got 2 burgers, a beer, a soda, and curly fries for €20. Food was really good. I was skeptical of a burger on a bagel, but I can get behind it now. They have 7 burgers, and you can have either all beef or beef and lamb. No English menu, but the cook/server was able to help translate. Simple place, but tasty. I'd come here again.
