The worst club in Fort Collins. Way over crowded terrible over right overcrowded locker rooms Souless
The Walmart of clubs. And now they have bought Fort Collins club the best in town will soon become the worst.
Just a terrible shame. Why couldn't they buy rain tree or somewhere else maybe in LovelandHelpful 2Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Morgan H.Omega, Fort Collins, CO03Mar 4, 2021

With thier personal training I have now lost over 40 pounds, and moved my body fat % from the mid 20's down to 12. Friggen' fantastic.
I usually go to the North Location, but I went to the South one for the first time last week....WOW. It is BEAUTIFUL! And that one has an indoor and outdoor pool, indoor and outdoor tennis courts, hot tub, sauna, steam room....trust me, one of the best gyms around.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 4Oh no 0Dec 6, 2008Previous reviewMiramont Lifestyle Fitness is now my favorite "Gym" in NoCO!
First off, they have THREE locations. (The North Location: north-west of Mulberry and Timberline, The Central Location: North-west of Drake and College, and The South Location, south of Harmony on Oakridge Drive)
You get one membership and you can use ANY of the clubs. The North Club has a HUGE climbing wall (I think it is the (or one of the) ONLY full service climbing walls in NoCO. I mean this thing is gigantic, and they also have bouldering courses inside as well! The South location has indoor/outdoor tennis courts and swimming pools.
I have only been inside the North location so far, so I'm writing my review based off of that, but I would expect the other clubs are just as good. I'll let you know after I check them out.
It's clean, it's laid out nice, there are water fountains everywhere, clean bathrooms, a friendly staff, a ton of classes available , and a big variety of equipment (Full size basketball court/Gym, track, cardio machines with or without TV's, spinning studios, wood floored yoga/fitness rooms, free weights, weight machines, the climbing wall, bosu and exercise balls, kettle bells, etc...).
Go check it out, you can take a tour of any of the locations at any time, and you can see pictures and schedules at http://www.miramontlifestyle.com
And their personal trainers are great! I started working out at their North Location in late October with a guy named Matt Yacca. Here it is 5 weeks later, I've already lost about 15 pounds, a couple inches off the waist, and am in the best shape I've been in 8 years. And as skeptical as I was about paying a personal trainer, it is SO worth it. There is no way I would have gotten these results on my own. Seriously.
I give Matt a glowing recommendation and one for Miramont too!
The staff is helpful and friendly, the facilities are clean, and they have anything you need to do any workout you want, and 3 locations in FTC.

This place is horrible. They charge a fortune, then tie up the gym with their other revenue generators. Use anywhere else. A kid at the desk this morning was a smartass too, I don't like taking crap from a kid.....

Sounds like Lexi has a personal vendetta against this place for some reason, because I have experienced none of that.
I joined at the Central location and after a few visits found it a little crowded in the late afternoons and so I started going to the North location, which has a larger weight room. I have been very satisfied with their equipment, staff and overall cleanliness. They also offer a lot of classes at no additional cost and it is nice to be able to use their multiple locations with only a single membership. One complaint would be that the narrow passages and general layout of the men's locker room are a little annoying as you are constantly running into people going around the corners. Also, please stop expanding the climbing wall at the expense of workout space!
Overall a great value and I have been satisfied with my choice.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Husky D.Fort Collins, CO2428585Oct 2, 2011
Been going there off and on for 4 to 5 years. We put our account on hold for two years and are back.
Used to go to the yoga classes and another family goes to the Central site for it. They have some of the best yoga teachers teaching there that also teach at Old Town Yoga.
Go swimming there with kids and like their facilities that are well maintained. Hope to keep it up to get melt off some of the husky winter fat that seems to stick these days.
The mgmt is receptive to inputs. I suggested wireless internet several years ago and they put it in.
Keep up the good work Miramont Lifestyle Fitness!
I will provide more feedback on Central and North locations, once I get in better shape to try them out. I heard Central site was great.
Our youngest went to their childcare/pre-K there for two years. Very devoted teaching staff.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - David K.Fort Collins, CO2715Feb 12, 2014
Climbing is the reason to come here. It's bar none the best wall in Fort Collins, with a fine selection of bouldering, top roping and sport climbing. Routes/problems are changed regularly so it doesn't get boring unless you're the climbingest person anywhere. However, if you care about supporting local businesses instead of corpo-chains, you'd do better ascending at Inner Strength. Miramont has auto-belay so you can climb high without a partner. It feels stuffy sometimes and I get sticky-sweaty.
Unfortunately the plastic-pulling section is meagerly separated from clanking grunting weight-land. Do not stare directly at the tribal tattoos - your ass may become instantaneously kicked. So annoying when dudes sit on the machines while resting between sets - go do another exercise for Pete's sake.
Notice the lack of natural light in the place: oppressive. There's a juice bar sorta area upstairs but I never see hoagies being hatched or smoothies being slung. Interesting half-dome structure but empty office-building ambiance. In any case, you can sweat and breathe and push and stuff in it just fine.
A little dick move they pull is forcing you to physically come in to cancel a membership. That means someone canceling it because they are too busy to go may also be too busy to cancel it and just have to keep paying. I can't imagine a reason for this policy other than making it hard to cancel.
And the neighborhood you have to endure to get here: it's the worst, unless you are camping in the parking lot of Wal-Fart or there for sociological purposes or frugality (they price-match and have convenient compost bins in the back full of free produce!). It's a treeless, bike lane-less industrial park with lots of rocks and trucks. Central location is nicer location-wise, since you can also buy a fine Hefeweissbier or Gewürztraminer at Wilburs or devour a free sample dinner at Wholepaycheck, as well as ride your bike there on the Mason trail. And don't forget Central has a steam room - which to me is like the dynamite in rock/paper/scissors, winning it all. Nothing so soothing at North.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Christina A.Lewisville, TX3242Jul 3, 2008First to Review
I'm not going to lie, I only got a membership to climb here. It's a nice facility, the staff is nice.
But there's a lot of macho punks that show up that are just plain rude, be it climbers or weight lifters.
Most of the regular climbers are pretty chill, and really try and help each other out.
Some of the setters could try a little harder (some forget about footholds altogether and label it a REC). But there are a lot of walls and boulders to work on, so long as you don't come on half price College night (Friday's) you never have to wait to get on the wall.
This is a great place for climbers to circuit train, otherwise I feel like this is the Globo Gym to the Average Joe's.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - S S.Fort Collins, CO012Jun 3, 2018
I like Miramont... except this location. Been to all 3 locations in Ft Collins and this is by far the worst. Unfortunately, this is the closest gym to where I live. Not clean at all - bathrooms or machines. People who use the climbing wall take their shoes off and walk around barefoot - even upstairs. Then probably half the people who go here don't pay. I've seen lots of people just walk off to the right to the backside of the locker rooms so they don't have to go by the front desk to check in.

Staff are nice and professional, however, the gym is extremely crowded at times, not much room to move around. Additionally, the class times could vary to help more with people with different schedules. It seems most morning classes are either 5:30am or 9:30, 7 would be great!
