I love coral gables! Miracle mile is a street of shops and restaurants that's located in a historic beautiful city. I love coming here and walking around. There are great restaurants here to check out
Giralda street is now closed off and there are so many new restaurants that you can actually join. It is nice to sit in the middle of the plaza and enjoy a glass of wine or a beer from the local restaurant. although Giralda is off miracle Mile, I still consider it part of the mile. On the mile there's always different things to do. There's always some festival or happening that keeps the community engaged with their own city.
They have great happy hours, and a lot of options for a cheaper meal or a cheaper cocktail. I definitely suggest this area if you want to hang out go out and feel safe. There are always police around fire rescue and the community is nice.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Master Vicente A.Miami, FL11339212296Feb 19, 2023

Downtown Coral Gables & Miracle Mile Miami is an excelente place to walk with many different types of shops, unique galleries, cafes and restaurants of all types and tastes. Also you have plenty of parking and extended sidewalk space.
We came Saturday to the Art Festival and we found a big crowd but safe and clean. Easy parking 1 block away from the event at reasonable prices. Live music with several different acts. Lots of vendors with a wide range of pricing, there was something for everybody.
Overall a fun, positive and refreshing experience!!Helpful 13Thanks 0Love this 9Oh no 0 - Jul 16, 2021
Miracle Mile is not actually a mile. It is a 0.503-mile-long section of Coral Way between LeJeune Road and Douglas Road
This place is packed with places to eat, and shop and provides a wide array of things to do. There is metered street parking and garages available. I found the best deals at the garages. One garage has a daily max of $8 and another garage has gives you the first two hours free. There are restaurants, hotels, spas and parks. Some of the restaurants include Clutch Burger, Subway, Smoothie King, Doc B's, Hillstone Restaurant, Bulla Gastro Bar, and Fratellino Ristorante. There a quite a few mid to high end eateries, but you can also find some quick casual dining here as well. If you need assistance they have touchscreen video directory boards that you can use to help you find what you are looking for. I saw one by the small park at the end of the outdoor dining alley. It was very nice and easy to use.
This area has somewhat of an outdoor food court/patio dining area that has tables with umbrellas. It is located in an alleyway between two strips of restaurants and is very distinct. You can't miss the umbrellas. The area as a whole is very clean. It is a very trendy vibe and is not too upscale, but still a very nice area. They have a very visible police presence with vehicle and bicycle patrols all over the area.
They have a free trolly that services the area with stops thoroughout the mile.
If you are in the Miami area this place is a must stop. It can provide hours of safe and fun shopping and dining for the entire family. The key is to get a parking plan. The meters are free after 6 PM and street parking is difficult to find around that time. Any way, I had a great time there and look forward to coming back very soon.Helpful 4Thanks 0Love this 3Oh no 0 - Apr 8, 2021
Coral Gables was built during Florida's land boom years in the 1920's. After two major hurricanes and the Great Depression, money dried up. After WWII veterans started flocking to Florida to recuperate in its warm weather and a new renaissance began. The 1940's saw new developers and businesses flock to the city. The "Father of Miracle Mile," is George K. Zain. Zain along with his wife, City Commissioner Rebyl Zain came up with the idea of Miracle Mile and they got it built. Miracle Mile refers to a four block section of road between Douglas Road and Le Jeune Road. By resolution of the Coral Gables City Commission, the section of road was named Miracle Mile in 1955.
In 1949, Albert H. Friedman of Ro'al Apparel Shop, "Jimmy" Baldi of J. Baldi Salon, and Carroll Seghers of Carroll's Jewelers established the Miracle Mile Merchants Association. The first meetings were held in the rear of Ro'al at 348 Miracle Mile where the City of Coral Gables erected a historic marker. The Association honored Mr. Friedman in 1980 by declaring him "Mr. Miracle Mile." In 2005, the Coral Gables City Commission named the Downtown District in honor of George and Rebyl Zain and Albert H. Friedman. In the Spring of 2016, Miracle Mile underwent a street update by New York-based architecture firm Cooper Robertson at a cost of $21 million dollars. Improvements included wider sidewalks, curb-less street edge lined with low stones and greenery, and a change in the parking along the street. Be prepared to do your best parallel parking.
Today Miracle Mile is part of the downtown shopping district. You can find metered parking in a lot behind Miracle Mile along with limited pay street parking. Browse shops, art galleries, boutiques, bookstores, and a live theater along the beautiful tree lined streets. Shop for jewelry, clothing, a wedding gown, and home furnishings at the stores. You can also get services at salons and spas as well as dine at restaurants offering food from around the world. I live the history and beauty of this area. It is a must stop on any tour of Coral Gables.Helpful 73Thanks 0Love this 78Oh no 0 - Phillip P.Miami, FL2071412Jan 22, 2023
A beautiful half mile or so stretch of shops and restaurants in Downtown Coral Gables. Since there are so many different types of stores and restaurants my review is of the actual area and not any individual stores. The recent improvements are beautiful and it's a nice place to casually walk around. Nicely landscaped and interesting public art. Very clean and well maintained.

I have been coming down to Miracle Mile and Downtown Coral Gables my whole life. I used to much more when I loved closer to Gables... this was one of my go to places to eat (tons of restaurants); buy books (barnes and noble), get a massage (massage envy) and of course watch a good play (miracle theatre). This is definitely a great place to hang out, do some shopping and have fun.
Wish I still lived closer so I can enjoy this spot more often...but still I am willing to on occasion take the long journey from the very southern end of Homestead to come here.Helpful 5Thanks 0Love this 4Oh no 0 - Aug 13, 2020
I cannot believe I have never done a review? wow, Anyway - just go - see for yourself, explore the area. Lots to see and do - it has a lot of history, has plenty of shops, wedding stores with their pretty frontages, plenty restaurants and historical sights to see around the area. I will leave the reviews to all that have been before.

We stopped by Miracle Mile for lunch after a morning visit to the Fairchild Botanical Gardens. This was our first time visiting this shopping district and neighborhood.
We arrived around 1 PM and found parking in city garage #4, which is located right by a Publix. Parking was only $1 per hour for the first 4 hours, so I was pleased with that price. We only had to walk 10-12 minutes to the restaurant that we ended up eating at.
This is a really beautiful and seemingly safe area. I enjoyed strolling around while checking out the architecture. We walked down one pedestrian only street, spotted lots of gorgeous design elements in the sidewalk and pretty palm trees!
There seems to be an abundance of bridal related shops. None of the shops here really appealed to me personally, but it's a cute area for window shopping.
I see that there is a museum here, so I hope to come back to that at some point. Unfortunately, there was a significant amount of construction going on during our visit.
There is a really nice selection of restaurants here for all budgets. If we are in this area again, I would definitely come back here to eat and hopefully visit the museum.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 4Oh no 0 - Nov 8, 2018
Miracle Mile is the main attraction when it comes to the City of Coral Gables. One nice long road (coral way) of stores, shops, bars, and restaurants all competing to kept relevant enough to stay within this prime location. A total of 50,000 residents in Coral Gables and just over 80,000 people flow through this city during business hours.
There are several options to chose from to eat and drink at, here are a few off the top. Ale house, Tarpon Bend, Doc B's, John Martins, Starbucks, edible arrangements, Wolfe's wine shop, Morelia Gourmet Paletas, Red koi, Cibo Wine Bar, Burgerfi, Hillstone, Copper 29, Benihana, & Seasons 52.
That's just off the top of my head. There are so many more restaurants and shops to go to, and this is just miracle mile! So many more options in the Coral Gables area.
Miracle Mile just went under some major renovation making the road ways bigger but in the process took away half the parking spots. Changing the format of angled parking to only parallel parking. This leave visitors to park in parking garages or use valet. There are mix reviews about this turn out and new change, but I'll leave that for you to formulate your own opinion.
On miracle mile there are events hosted here where they either shut down half or the whole road. Some examples are eating and drinking festivals, music and art festivals. It's great fun. And don't forget the Coral Gables Wine walk hosted on miracle mile which is always a great event to attend. May shops and bars participate during this wine walk event.
Coral Gables is such a dynamic city with continuous structural and landscaping updates, as well as innovative changes. Miracle Mile is just simply one example of this.
Come visit "The City Beautiful" and walk up and down miracle mile. You'll find something you like and will look for a reason to come back.Helpful 5Thanks 0Love this 4Oh no 0
