Also known as galactic attack when ridden with Samsung gear VR. This ride is staffed so poorly with the longest turn around time they its not worth the wait at all. Even with 8 staff working it took over 15 minutes to launch one VR train with putting on headsets etc. By far the worst in six flags America

This is my new #1 rollercoaster! Second is obviously Corkscrew at Cedar Point. Neither is rough at all, and both are fun. As a coaster enthusiast, I can see why this is so, so overrated. I don't know why, but my friend thought it was too rough. SLCs are amazing (besides Great Nor'easter with whatever 'smoothness' they have it)! I got a migraine that would not go away for 19 weeks, which is amazing, just what I seek for in a coaster. I think they should move every single SLC and Boomerang and Aero looper/corkscrew to one park, as they are the best and that park would be elite. Just don't take the ones in Wildwood, they're too smooth. Ew.

TOTAL RECALL
If you experience a complete memory wipe, it's probably from the brain aneurysm this coaster gave you.
'Mind Eraser' is your standard Vekoma SLC, now with optional virtual reality headsets. Much like the Oculus rift setup used on SFGAm's 'Demon' last fall, riders are given the choice of wearing goggles that place them in a completely immersive environment.
Six Flags added VR headsets for the 2017 season and marketed the ride as "Galactic Attack", which makes a LOT more sense on inverted coasters than others, since every row except for the front has an obstructed view anyway. Can't see sh*t, might as well make a video game out of it.
Odds are good that if you're a coaster fanatic like me, you've ridden one of these inverted clones before. They come in a variety of models -- some with an added helix, some with an expanded footprint -- but the inversion layout remains the same. Last summer I got the chance to experience 'Thunderhawk' at Michigan's Adventure, an identical ride. This one's no different.
Unfortunately, as is the trend nowadays, VR is becoming increasingly common at parks as a way of breathing new life into aging or unpopular rides. This creates excessive lines and can nearly double or in some cases TRIPLE the wait times, even for those merely wishing to ride sans headset. I didn't get to experience this coaster's VR, as the combination of rain and a stalled train (smh) took this ride out-of-service during my 2nd attempt.
Even without the goggles strapped to your noggin, the ride experience is pretty extreme. There's a great deal of head-banging (the painful sh*tty kind, not the Judas Priest heavy metal kind) and padded restraints don't do much to help.
Exacerbating matters, this 5-inversion inverted coaster was basically built in/over a marsh, so muggy weather in warmer months will bring out mosquitoes like nobody's business. SFA stuffed this cookie cutter model into a far corner of the park, so it's also tough to get to.
Eric S's SFA Coaster Ranking = 7th out of 8.

I'd recommend this ride for anyone running low on their personal Rufalin supply. It's cheaper (and faster) than a lobotomy; long lines and getting your ears boxed all adds up to a HARD PASS.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - John F.Falls Church, VA204209913743Oct 31, 2019

Another great roller coaster, but this one is made of steel. This right is a step up from The Wild One. I would call this one an actual rollercoaster and not a training coaster for the scaredy cats.
The ride sits down like a lot of coasters, but your feet are dangling once the ride begins. A lot of times if your watching the ride, you will see men and woman riding barefoot. This sort of thing has become the norm (normal) thing. The ride who is wearing tevas or flip flops will set them aside in the holding booths, then proceeded to get on the ride. Maybe it's the wind whipping past her or his feet that is the appealing factor... Or is it so much more Whatever it is, the people live it.
The ride lifts you up...no...the floor your standing on drops and you know the game is a foot. The lift to the top of the hill is pretty quick, but your not past the point of no return...believe me, I have been on rides where the person get so scare, the signal the operator to stop the ride.
The feeling of the twists and turns are great. Unlike the wooden rollercoasters (most of them), this ride is smooth and fast. The loop is one of the most exciting things the has to offer. Very, very few wooden rollercoasters have a upside loop in it. As of right now Son of the Beast is the only wooden rollercoaster to have a vertical loop. As you may know, the loop was removed in 2006 and six years later it was dismantled for good.
Still, The Mind Race is a fun ride that can help you get to a higher level of thrill. Just like Booker T. Says, "Can You Diggit Sucka?"Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0
