Right next to Mad T's was this place..so we went ahead in and checked it out. From the outside, this place looked like one of those "Everything Is $9.99" stores.
Once we got inside, we saw that Mila's was much neater than those bargain type joints. There were racks of hip sweaters, jeans and t-shirts. Off to the left there were row of purses and belts.
Most of the clothes here are in the $13 - $16 range..and really hip and cute. Mostly knockoffs of what's out there and trendy. But, really, why pay full price for something that will be out of style in a few months anyway??Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Brooke K.Gaithersburg, MD7177Dec 10, 2008
Eeh, no.
When I read "Hong Kong eBay store", I was expecting something vaguely rip-off Japanese, or even Forever 21-esque. At least those are trendier.
The store is both expansive and constraining at the same time; it's large and divided by normal and plus-sizing, but the selection in both is limiting. As in, tacky.
I know the target audience is the urban/streetwear crowd, but honestly, one would find much cooler stuff at Up Against the Wall/Commander Salamander. To be more specific, I saw plasticky jackets with plasticky fur hoods (if there is such a thing as faux faux leather, that's it), a bunch of crumpled plaid linen shorts and smocked halter tops on the $6.99 rack, those tight, stiff cable-knit hoodies that you would find better quality of at American Eagle Outfitters or even F21, more plastic braided belts (of the bad, metallic variety) and print leggings that manage to be crazy in a bad way (and I happen to love crazy printed leggings). I mean, they've got like the Ed Hardy tattoo pattern on flesh tone. Ugh.
I feel like they're a rip-off of a rip-off; trying to be crazy when they're not crazy enough. Yeah. I'd save your ten bucks for the sales rack at Wet Seal or something.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0 - Alexis G.Falls Church, VA212729158Aug 28, 2007
Mila's is just like ordering from a Hong Kong eBay store. The clothes are hip and cheap -- both in price and construction. That said, I still always find at least one thing I really, really like here. This place is good for light dresses, etc. My most recent purchase was a really cute blue sundress, and it looks like it came from H&M or one of those places. It was $13, so keep that in perspective. These clothes will not last you for years to come.

The owner was loudly complaining on the phone about how terrible all women are when I was trying to shop here. Turned me off from the whole place.

3 1/2 stars. Everything here is on trend and, as such, isn't going to be super-durable or long lasting. But if you're just looking for something fun without dropping tons of money, you can come away with some great finds.
Honestly, what I appreciate most about this place is how well organized it is. All the clothes are laid out in ways that make sense and that make it easy to find what you're looking for. Instead of digging through racks full of jumbled oufits, you can pick up what you need while ignoring what you don't want.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0
