Metro Diner

We had lunch here today, the food was great and our server Breanna was fantastic. She is super friendly and fast, great job. Highly recommend

We were able to be seated right away and chose to sit at the bar in front of the line cooks. Very fun to watch these folks cook! I'm very impressed. And the food was delicious!! Our server was also lovely and attentive. We would definitely eat here again and I highly recommend it over any other choice in the Villages!

Growing up in NJ, I have been to my share of diners. Although Metro Diner does not resemble most of them, it is not necessarily a bad thing. First off you will not see golf carts accommodated in a diner NJ. Totally a Florida thing. Secondly a NJ diner menu is the size of an old school road atlas with at least 8 pages and 450 mediocre items, where the Metro Diner has one two sided 8" x 11 1/2" card with every delicious item they make.

The decor is clean, inviting and a bit of a 1950's vibe. The servers are hard working, knowledgeable and attentive. The food is off the charts good. I was torn between the fried chicken sandwich and the chicken and waffles. I went with the sandwich and the chicken was moist perfectly deep fried and served with Metro's famous spicy sauce. My wife had the chicken salad which was fresh and delicious.

We had a great experience at the Metro Diner and we will be returning. We may become regulars.

The most attentive friendly employees in the area ~ hostess welcoming & wait staff over the top efficient. We enjoy their food and their consistency

Ou food was delicious and well prepared. The atmosphere was upbeat and busy. But we were comfortable. I would definitely recommend the Metro Diner.

The food is nothing specially very good. Had the fish and chips. Two good size pieces of fish and plenty of fries. One person had grilled cheese and said that was excellent. One had chicken parmigiana with pasta. One person had one of Metros bowls and said that was very good. The service was excellent. Worth the trip.

Disappointing visit to Metro Diner. This location in the villages needs a good scrubbing to start with. While the staff we encountered were very friendly that's about the only positive.
We ordered from a very pared down menu, I'll say maybe because of today's challenges, but the portions were so small for the prices it was hard to equate. Food came out fairly quickly but not anything but luke warm.
Good thing for our friendly outgoing waitress or the visit would have been a complete disaster.

First time here and sadly, I won't return.
We wanted to sit at the bar, and we did, but the bar had a previous diners food still at the bar and it was a major mess. Plus the rest of the bar needs to be wiped down. Filthy and a bad first impression.
The food came out in decent time. It was typical dinner food.
The bartender was good, helped us make some food choices and kept the water full in our cups
The staff would yell "door" across the restaurant if a customer was at the door. Which happened often. Very weird.
Bathrooms were not clean. And as I walked to the bathroom there were many dirty tables. Maybe they are short staffed but then there's a manager type young guy in a suit sitting in a chat on his phone. Just gave me a not good impression about the work ethic, organizational skills or cleanliness here.

This will be my second location after the one in Gainesville. Between the two, this seems like a newer location. It was not as crowded and had great good and servers. This one; however, edged out the other one, even though the server didn't offer a Togo drink. I highly recommended both if the the area.

Second time we ate there. First for breakfast second was for dinner. Both were very good. Prices were reasonable as well. It's a nice small town diner field both times. The waiter and waitress were excellent.
