El Mercadito

I Called to ask a question... woman said "no English" & hung up on me! Pretty bad customer service! Yikes!

The food is so solid that I don't want people to know about this place. We've been searching for amazing Mexican food in Long Island and we hit the jackpot with El Mercadito! The Lengua and fatty beef tacos were delicious. I enjoyed some of my husband's birria tacos too, soup was heavenly. their rice and guacamole were also tasty!

Service was good on a slow Wednesday afternoon, waitress was friendly and recommended dishes to us. Decor is adorable and bright - you can't tell how cute it is inside from the exterior storefront. Can't wait to go back for more tacos and a margarita.

Tamarindo margaritas are amazing! I like to try their specials however, we always order the flautas for an appetizer.

Some of the best Mexican food outside of SoCal. It's authentic down to the tamales, tacos de sudadero, barbacoa and nopales. The platters are a lot of food. Great food. Great prices. Great atmosphere. We've gone there multiple times and recommend it to anyone craving authentic Mexican food.

It's Cinco de Mayo which makes it a taco day by default. We like to order in from a local eatery and today we decided to try El Mercadito in Westbury, Long Island

Firstly this place is so damn cute, don't let the modest exterior fool you. The party is inside. Infact I can't think of another place that is already set up for a birthday party, like this one.

We did take out and ordered the Mercadito Pack 6 family Meal, along with an order of nachos and a tree leches to share for the kids.

This tray is huge and has plenty to feed a family of 4... for us, it will last us 2 more days for sure. Probably could have skipped the nachos, but they were so good! The tres Leches cake is just a hint of sweet and tastes absolutely delicious! Unlike most places where you get a mouth full of sweet this is true to its name and milky delicious.

Don't skip this place, the value is ridiculous and the food out of this world.

Service is always amazing. Bryan and the rest of the staff care about their customers. And this place is always busy (cause it is always great). Don't be too surprised if you have to wait for a table.....it is definitely worth the wait

Really good Mexican cuisine! Doesn't look like much from the outside, but don't let that deter you. Inside the decor is colorful and vibrant. Went with my 2 sisters, and we ordered the taco platter (only available Saturdays), red pozole, and 2 orders of Chipotle wings. Let me tell you, the taco platter alone would've been enough with food to spare! It came with pork, goat, and steak, along w/ a roasted poblano, nopal, scallions, and assorted accompaniments. Also came with a side of refried beans and rice. It was so good and so flavorful. I initially thought the meat might need a hint of salt but once I added the salsas, it was perfect! The bowl of pozole was also huge and enough to share. It was my first time having it and I really enjoyed it. It is very filling though. The wings were ok but nothing special. They actually tasted like those flavored frozen wings to me. We also ordered drinks (don't remember the name) but it had vodka and some juices. It wasn't very strong but the waiter brought us extra shots to make up for it. Really enjoyed this hidden gem and will return. Finding parking was a little challenging.

The food was generous and yummy.. great vibes and drinks. We shall return and you should too!Typical what a fun restaurant. The decor was like a big party. There was karaoke and hats and balloons and very friendly patrons.

I love this place the food is AMAZING! The service is good and their drinks are great as well., my daughter and I are addicted.

Great authentic Mexican cuisine and fresh fruit juices. Love everything about this place except that it's cash only. It's quite tiny and easy to miss if you're not familiar with the area.
