I picked out my tuxedo rentals for my wedding at the MW in Cedar Rapids and had an outstanding customer service experience. Same at the MW in Atlanta, GA when I picked it up. The MW in Waterloo is a completely different story.
When I first arrived to pick out a suit, the gentleman was very helpful, friendly, and we had a good time. They ordered part of the suit from a different store. When I went to pick it up on the day they said it would be there, a different salesman (who I unfortunately think is a manager) said "it won't be here until after 12." Shortly. I returned, and had to get some alterations done. The seamstress came out, didn't say a word, and rolled up my pants leg, then walked off. I thought she was coming back but then had to call her back out. She didn't ask me what kind of break I wanted on my pants, and didn't ask me about the coat which I was also getting altered. She reeked of cigarettes and I finally got the pants and suit set for alterations. They charged me $50 for alterations on a $700 suit without letting me know ahead of time. I have NEVER been charged for alterations on a suit I purchased in store, and I have bought from many retailers. The same salesman was always rude, short, and completely inconsiderate. When I picked up the suit from alterations, he dealt with a customer for 25 minutes before even looking at me, addressing me, or saying hello or telling me he'd be with me shortly. I stood there for 25 minutes without being addressed. Finally, he didn't even apologize once he started asking what I needed.
There is one good salesman here. Everyone else is horrible, apathetic, lethargic, ignorant, rude, and unkind. I am deeply disappointed in how horrible the customer service is at this location and plan on making several calls to MW corporate customer service about this store.
In short, if you want an overpriced cheap suit from a store where they nickel and dime you and act like jerks with horrible customer service, by all means go here.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Mother Of Two L.Monee, IL01411Oct 10, 2022
My son had a Presidents Ball this weekend for Homecoming. Steven was fantastic, they were able to get him sized in a short period of time. He looked great in the blue tux. Steven even helped with the return. We highly recommend them!

I can't say too much about the actual rental process or ordering process quite yet, but we had a fantastic time doing a fitting and preliminary order at Men's Warehouse the other day.
The first employee we worked with was particularly friendly. When we were clearly a bit confused about what we wanted or had in mind, he was happy to show us some of the options - and quite patient as well. He was very honest about their options - pointing out the various differences and why you'd want to splurge for various things. After he passed us to another employee for the fitting and sizing, the new employee was just as friendly.
She seemed particularly knowledgeable about men's fashion - including how to tell if a jacket or shirt is particularly well-fitting. She offered brand options to help with fit, and she went out of her way to call up to corporate to a get rush on a preliminary suit for fitting purposes. The earlier employee had also misquoted us a price, but she was happy to give us the item for the price because it was their error. She was very friendly, made the process feel particularly smooth (even though it took about an hour), and was clearly knowledgeable about everything they sell.
As a sidenote, Men's Warehouse does make it pretty easy to use them for tux rental. You can pick up or return the clothing to any of their Men's Warehouse locations.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Matt T.Huntley, IL32Jul 8, 2014
I liked the suit and it was decently priced (not great but nothing horrific). They got alterations done for me that same day, unfortunately one of the cuffs they added didn't even last a day.
The hem of the cuff tore out almost completely within an hour of putting the suit on. That was basically the last thing I wanted to deal with while attending my Father's funeral.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Seth H.Waterloo, IA72Apr 16, 2014First to Review
I've purchased suits from a couple other places in the area and never thought Men's Wearhouse would be able to treat me like the smaller shops on Main Street. I was wrong! Very helpful & attentive with tons of great specials. I'll be back for more.
