Unfortunately I didn't get names of the ones I'm complaining about because I was extremely upset and shocked that I had been treated so badly while was a patron to Menards.I had a customer service concerns so I went to the customer service/return desk as I walked in. At the desk were 2 employees; an older woman and a young girl with blonde hair at approximately 8:30 am on Saturday December 3. Without providing details during our 5-10 minute interaction she was so rude with sarcastic and snide comments. For example, I asked her how long it would take the manager to look at something. She responded "Depends" I asked her if I can get more details she responded with "as long as it takes her to look at it" rudely and rolling her eyes. Without repeating the conversation verbatim her verbiage and attitude was worse than "mean girls" amplified I don't know any other way to describe her negative attitude. I was taken aback during this interaction that unfortunately I didn't call her out on this. I have never heard even a teen-ager talk like she did for so long. I felt as though I was a piece of garbage interrupting her life. It was just toxic!
Every time I shop at the St. Cloud Menards I feel like a burden to the cashiers. The last time I bought something my cashier treated me as though I was a burden. No eye contact, no recognition I was actually spending MONEY at the store. He just pushed my things through and scanned the next person through. After the cashier transaction I picked up my 2 40 pound bags of salt in the front of the store. Firstly Garrett and some young girl were chatting away in front of the salt. I had to ask them twice if I could access the salt. Then he moved to the side while the two continued on with their conversation. Mind you I weigh 110 pounds and was trying to get the salt into the cart. No recognition that I may be struggling with the weight. Shopping at your store makes me feel like shit. I leave with a toxic feeling that I am not a valued customer or person nonetheless. After I finished my business at the customer service counter I left and went to Home Depot where I will be shopping from here on out. I am passing this information to my social circle and will NO longer be shopping at Menards. I spend thousands of dollars at your store while I'm remodeling my home. It's the young kids-high school/college that are diminishing the quality of your store. Even some of the kids on the floor are rude and make me feel like a burden. Yuck!

Menards is like our second home. We shop here more than probably anywhere else. They generally sell most anything you need in terms of home repair/construction/etc. They have a large lighting section, electrical, plumbing, flooring, appliances, paint, hardware, outdoor, garden, decor, windows, doors, power tools, insulation. You name it, they probably sell it. Their extensive lumber yard out back carries roofing materials, siding, lumber, and a lot more.

I've found the staff, when you can find them, more helpful than Home Depot. Over the years, we've purchased doors, insulation, wiring, plumbing, lighting, garden plants, fertilizer, and a lot more from this store.

They offer handy rebates that you can utilize to get more for your money. I'd estimate that we've saved hundreds, if not thousands of dollars using rebates.

They also sell a lot of holiday decor, though I disagree with putting Christmas decor out before October.

This store is a nice place to shop, people are nice and helpful here, their competition stores don't seem to hire much help anymore as Menards, you get more help here, I do complain about the prices here and other stores, I use to come here every other day or so, but now 2 maybe 3 times a month, high prices are taping us out, this store is very clean that's a plus! can't afford to buy wood and building supplies anymore so I just kind of stay away, don't get me wrong This store is a place where nice people work and nice people shop Really! you can relax here while you shop.
There is a need for Menards to improve the way kitchen cabinets are purchased, after plans are Ok Menards should guarantee the purchase price for at least 2 weeks instead of 24 hrs! 24hrs is not fair nor correct their customers. also, Menards should conceder their customers better in appliance purchases delivery and set-ups, Menards has a lot of older customers, women, single women, and customers that are not well, therefore changing their present delivery policy is in need and offering free delivery and or lower prices and recognize that their faithful customers are having a hard time doing these hard times because they will remember how they were treated during these rough times that we are having now. Nothing is better than keeping your workers and customers happy when running a business, because they both will do the same thing when unhappy - Seek other places. As businesses grow, they should grow their staff and their customers.

Paid extra to have the store pull my order cause I was in a hurry. Go to the customer service desk and they tell me you have to go to the farthest corner in the back of the store to pick it up. REALLY?! I could have pick it out myself and checked out faster. Get to the back of the store and they said I could have driven around back to pick it up! Girl at service desk said nothing. The email said nothing. So stupid! Won't do it again...

I made a LARGE purchase of over $1,500 kitchen cabinets. I designed them and paid for them to find out that they DO NOT deliver for free.. WTH?? I made a purchase at Home Depot Kitchen appliance and delivery and set up for FREE with purchase over $1,000. I contacted Menards and they stated that they will deliver and leave in my garage for $125.00 I live 4 miles away and now have to rent a truck and find someone who can help me lift these and bring them into my home. I can rent a truck from them for $20 per hour.. I WILL NEVER PURCHASE FROM THEM AGAIN. Home Depot will now make more money from me Screw your 11% off Menards.

I spend a lot of time and money here for yard
And home projects. Few years ago I rarely was disappointed with supply nor customer service nor prices. In the last few years the store had suffered. Empty Shelves yet
Aisles clogged with boxes and items to be stocked and staff that isn't properly trained what is going on in their respective departments. I do like the 11% sales but please for the love of all things put the dam coupon books at the register rather than piled up at customer service

A great place for all things home related. It can be hard to locate items some times. I had seen on the website that they had plastic water bottles. I wondered the whole store looking for the location. When I finally found a worker to ask I ended up being right next to where the water bottles were. Things are priced nicely it would be nice if they were easier to find.

Bought a Chainsaw there thinking it would help me clear the brush in my backyard. Took it out of the box filled it with gas and started it up. But it wouldn't start. Reread the directions to make sure I was doing everything right. And it still did not turn on. Took it back to the store and was told I needed to take the gas out before I returned it. Drove back to my house ( I live 20miles away) to take the gas out and returned the next day to return it. I was then informed that it was past 7days and I can no longer return it. They said that the only thing I could do to get a working chainsaw at this point was to have it looked at. They gave me an address to take it in and so I could pay for the repairs. I didn't want to do this but didn't want to waste the money I had already spent. So I drove another 20miles to have someone look at it. Found out that the repair shop doesn't work on chainsaws. I am out the money I spent on the chainsaw, and the gas money I spent driving around, and wasted a lot of my my time on something that should've worked right out of the box. I'm frustrated at Menards customer service, they used to be a great place to shop at. But I will be taking my business else where from now on.

So we went to Menards tonight purchase several items.. dealt with building materials, paint area and delivery.. all 3 areas were helpful.. observed the struggle when talking and setting up our order. One person in delivery had their mask off and then put it back in after getting information, same in the other areas.. again but super service. We went to check out my husband has his mask on and it slips below his nose and he is he going to talk with the check out lady. We were in checkout lane 1.. she was super polite to his question... This very rude, snotty young man is speaker over the clerk and the checkout counter telling my husband to put his mask over his nose .. my husband was talking to our check out clerk and he was very rude and and gestures and put it over his nose. As we were leaving he proceeded to tell him again he won't be allowed in the store. My husband told him we can put the $1000.00 we just purchased back.

Very rude and disrespectful staff.. especially when the other workers didn't always have their masks on and we're so respectful.. he is wanting to return our purchases and go to home depot... with everything we have bought in last 2 weeks would be close to $2k... Very poor customer service by this gentleman that stood by check out door and no didn't get his name cause I couldn't believe his RUDE behavior...also i did not observe any of the credit card machines being wiped down or changing of gloves between customers... Masks are the only responsible thing to do.. wiping down equipment to protect customers..
