My Father In Law passed away and from the first call with Laura at Memorial Funeral Home I felt a connection of empathy, compassion, professional. We had a less than sub-par experience with another home and quickly needed to change homes. Laura and Tom made themselves available for our every question. In fact there were not many questions because they were answered before we could ever ask any! Super Professional Team, Compassionate, Knowledgeable, Cultural Sensitive, Well Maintained, Warm Facility, Modern Vehicles and Cost Appropriate.
My Family and I were Extremely Satisfied from the 1st call to the departing of the service. I would Recommend this business if you expect to be greeted and treated like family, if you expect top notch catering and most of all caring with professionalism approach.
I AM A ROUGH CUSTOMER AND I GIVE THEM 5 STARS.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Paul L.Cranford, NJ041Nov 16, 2018
My mother-in law died under very difficult circumstances. Tom Keiser and the entire staff at Memmorial Funeral Home made the situation not just bearable but beautiful, dignified and peaceful. We owe them a debt of gratitude for their kindness, constant care and support. Thank You for your generous hearts.

Laura and Memorial's entire staff expertly guided our family through what is definitely our most difficult time to date. My father's sudden death left us at sea and we immediately chose Memorial because of the professional and understanding way they handled us as well as every detail of the service. Everyone in attendance remarked on how beautiful, tasteful, and seamless the service was. Thank you so much.

It takes a special kind of person to help families get through some of the worst days of their lives. Jim, Ryan, Mary and Tom walked us through all the details, made suggestions and were flexible in customizing items like the memorial cards. They set up a stream of an interview with my late father in the lobby of the home without our even thinking of it. They even recommended a wonderful minister, Rev. Linda Owens of The Presbyterian Church of Bound Brook. When we decided we would not be able to get through a eulogy, she crafted one that was beautiful based on notes about my dad and our family. Also, several of the mourners mentioned that the seating, made up of groups of sofas and chairs, was more conducive to conversation than the rows of seats in most funeral homes. If you are in need of a funeral home with a kind and comforting staff, don't hesitate to call Memorial Funeral Home in Fanwood.

Recently we lost our beloved Dad, and we needed to quickly make decisions on the arrangements. We decided on Fanwood Mem, and it was the right decision for so many reasons.
Tom, Buddy and Laura were all compassionate and professional; all the while gently guiding us in the decisions that needed to be made. They anticipated the very many details that had to be taken care of (photos, flowers), and they did a great job at taking things off of our shoulders. Examples including helping my mom with a wheelchair as soon as we pulled up, responding quickly to my many emails, creating a memory book of the people who attended which included photos of the flowers that were delivered and the comments on the webpage for my dad. (Very helpful for writing thank you notes)
After the repass we were exhausted and drained, but we had to go back to the memorial home to pick up all of the pictures, flowers etc. I had thought it would take us an hour or more to pick up everything and pack it; and I was so surprised and thankful that Laura had already packed everything up; and we were back in our car and on our way in 10 minutes. That was a godsend; and we all really appreciated it.
On a last note; we received many, many comments from relatives and friends that they loved having the seating arranged in groups, it was comfortable and easy to forget you were at a memorial home. We had groups of people laughing and sharing stories, which is exactly how my dad would have wanted it.
Thank you again for making a painful event more bearable.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - R. Karl H.Oakland, CA5916037Apr 26, 2010First to Review
Tom and Buddy were absolutely the epitome of professionalism, empathy, understanding, and customer service. The service was flawless, all the details were handled meticulously and perfectly and they went above and beyond to ensure that my grandmother was presented in the best and most dignified way. AND their price was the fairest of the six competitors we priced out. We highly recommend Memorial Funeral Home without any hesitation.
