Melt Shop

It looked like good menu. Saw the food was made fresh. The staff were very nice. The service was a bit slow, but they cook it to order.

I had a Mac & cheese Chicken sandwich. Not much on the Mac & cheese. Bacon over cooked was beyond crispy and hard to chew. I was sick within an hour of eating it. Really sick!

I couldn't call because the mall closed shortly after we left. I will be calling tomorrow, as I don't want what happened to be someone else's experience too. Hopefully an isolated incident, but I won't take a chance on them again.

Yes, I am absolutely loving this place and I can't believe that it's in the mall because it's just that good. The food is fresh and made to order, the service is great and this is a welcome addition to mall food which is usually pretty lacking

It seems Roosevelt Field mall doesn't have all the best mall restaurants!

I love The Melt Shop and have the app which offers rewards for repeat purchases. I am a total Melt Shop fan. When I leave the Roosevelt Field mall and see my hometown mall, it breaks my heart. The Smith Haven Mall food court seems like a vast wasteland of cheesy baked pretzels and fake Panda Express knock offs. (Wait a second, one of those places IS Panda Express)

But all that changed when The Melt Shop came to Lake Grove.

I have my wife with me and she's excited to try this new spot. She's also watching me like a hawk. Mrs S doesn't play around, she's all about healthy choices. Adulting is hard but I think we can make lunch work. She orders a healthy salad, unsweetened iced tea and no tots.

I know she wants to try a tot so I ordered basic Shop Tots. You can get crazy with the tot toppings like melted cheese and jalapeno but I know she wouldn't enjoy that selection so Shop Tots it is.

I *adore* The Melt Shop Truffle Melt! The sammy is so elevated, it's just on a different level and always my go to Melt Shop choice. I wanted to try something different so I went with the Fried Chicken Melt. Toasted rye bread with delicately fried chicken tenders. It's a signature Melt Shop sandwich and my lunch choice for today.

Our food came to us very quickly. I so wanted to try a Nutella Milkshake but Mrs. S reminds me of the new suit I bought that's snug so I'm going with the sugar free drink..............

My chicken sandwich was cooked perfectly. The tenders were juicy and the crunch from the purple slaw gave it a nice touch for this Sunday Shopping lunch treat.

Smithhaven Mall may have lost Bobby's Burger Palace but the Melt Shop is now the top cheese. See what I did there?

The staff was great. Very helpful. Great suggestions too. Food is made to order, so it will always be fresh. It's a bit messy but that's from the yummy sauces. I loved their burger melt. Their chicken is really good, if you've ever had "zaxbys" (southern chicken tender fast food chain) it's similar. Get some Mike's hot honey it's really good! And bonus is you can get 2 piece chicken tenders as a side rather than tots. But their tots are really good too. The cheese sauce on the shop tots is to die for!
Their teas and lemonades are sweetened with cane sugar so it's not super sweet, they also have fountain drinks available too.

I've been with Melt Shop since I want to say the beginning, with their store in Midtown Manhattan. They've come a long way and their menu has matured a lot. I didn't realize how much their menu had changed until now and I'm so glad it did.

I got the turkey sandwich which was even better than i expected. Who wouldn't want a fully loaded grilled cheese? As if that wasn't enough, the shop tots and milkshake was added to fully round out my meal. You never expect much from a mall food court, but let me tell you, they measure up to an actual store front. The quality of the sandwich was outstanding and better than I expected. It was delicious and you could tell that they really put the time and effort into not creating a good tasting sandwich, but a good looking one as well.

To top off the entire experience, they were extremely friendly. Omar and his team really made sure you received the service you'd expect and delivered good food. For this alone, it's worth coming back. Melt Shop really adds to the food court here that is completely lacking. You won't be disappointed!

Food is great, and never have to wait too long. Never been disappointed either, I've had the Korean bbq sandwich, MY FAVE btw.... cheesy tots, shop tots, burger melt, and Nutella shake so far....little pricey but quality, can't complain. Make sure to bring your patience, they do make to order, but well worth it.

So this was my first time visiting the Melt Shop besides checking it out during an Elite Week event. I'm happy to report that my standard experience was just as good as my elite one!

The employee who took my order was friendly and explained my combo options while I mentally debated on a side. I went for the cheesy tots - a great choice because they put cheese on the top AND bottom of the little holding tray so no tots were left dry.

For my main dish, I ordered the Veggie Melt. It was a good sized sandwich, not too big or small, the cheese was indeed melty, and I received it once it was done while it was still hot and toasty. You can't ask for much more when you order a cheesy, melty sandwich like this! It was great, and gone in about 3 minutes.

The consensus? The Melt Shop is certainly worth a pit stop while shopping at the mall.

Grilled cheese & tots!!!! Oh yes! I tried their classic which was ooey, gooey cheese between crispy buttery toast. Yum yum yum. They have 3 kinds of tots all progressively getting more add ons, but I love my fries, tots, potatoes just with salt. They were golden brown and delicious. The service was very friendly. I asked them how long they had been opened & said just since this past Saturday, for a new business everything was running smooth. The Melt Masters!

Left me sick with the most miserable food poisoning I've ever had. Would never come back.

Ventured here thanks to yelp giving my wife a free dinner. Never been to smith haven mall but apparently it's the place to be in a Friday. Luckily we parked right by the food court and got to the ordering.
We ended up getting the maple bacon cheese sandwich and chicken sandwich with a side of tots and some kinda of chocolate that was good.
Huge bacon fan here but the maple bacon was just ok, maybe crisp up the bacon a bit more. The chicken sandwich is delightful, very crispy the way god intended. Both sandwiches came with a side, either tots or two chicken strips, tots were fine, again the chicken is delightful, crisp and juicy like me at the beach. I would recommend getting some of their dipping sauces as I messed up and only got the truffle mayo, but it was good nonetheless.
Next time you venture out to the mall I'd say stop by and try the chicken, with dipping sauces
