Bulgolgi Fries: Thousand Island Dressing, Bulgolgi, green onions, and cheese.

If you, like many, ever thought to yourself: I wish my Animal Style Fries had bulgolgi, look no further than Melt. Located conveniently (albeit somewhat confusingly) in H-Mart, your hankering for bulgolgi fries ends here.

It's unique. Besides being an exact replica of animal style fries with bulgolgi. These fries... Well, hm... That pretty much covers a description.

Honestly, I wish this thing had huge pieces of meat, instead of tiny pieces drenched in sauce. My friend and I, as omnivores, both felt like it was lacking in beef flavor. After all was said and done, we felt lots of carbs and fats without much protein.

Maybe next time, I'll buy some Spam from H-Mart to combo it.

FINALLY got to try the Ramen burger with an egg and bulgogi fries for $12.26.

The burger was just O.K. It lacked flavor in the patty, but adding the egg helped. The fries were crispy and perfect! I do agree the proportion of meat to fries ratio was not there, so more bulgogi meat would've been nice, lol. I'd ask for no onions and jalapeños for me next time cuz it was raw and not to my liking lol.

Service was great, fast and friendly! Parking wasn't bad at all. It is located inside the Super H Mart. I'd skip the ramen burger as it is just another one of those crazes that aren't going to last. Maybe if they flavored it somehow.... hmmmm....

Rather interesting place located inside Super H Mart. Most of the food vendors inside Korean markets serve traditional Korean food but this one leans more toward Korean fusion. It serves both pot-bing-soo (Korean shaved ice) and Korean style burgers.

This is the first place I got to try a ramen burger. I've heard of these before but the idea sounded somewhat gross to me. It's not as bad as I thought but I'd still prefer a regular bun over a ramen bun. It's too dense and slightly crispy on the outside so it feels like you're eating three beef patties (texture-wise). The burger itself tasted pretty good because it tasted like IN N Out burger with a spicy kick, thanks to sliced jalapenos. I think it's the combination of thousand island dressing and grilled onions that makes this burger taste like In N Out. It didn't have much vegetables so it tasted mostly like a tasty patty melt. I got mine with cheese which is $0.50 extra.

I also got the Bokko Burger which didn't taste that much different from the Ramen Burger except this wasn't spicy and had little more vegetables (shredded cabbage). This one also has thousand island dressing but the burger tasted slightly Korean for some reason. I'm not sure what it is but it reminded me of something I used to eat in Korea when I was little.

Both burgers were pretty small but still quite filling. That just goes to show how much grease and fat are in these burgers. I think they overcooked my meat but there was enough grease to moisten the patty.

I think it's a cool concept but I'd rather get In N Out Burger for this price. Most of the burgers are about $5-$6 on average, which isn't bad compared to many gourmet burger joints that have popped up lately, but not sure I can classify this as a gourmet burger joint.

      - Locale Destination -
It's on Diamond Bar blvd and Cold spring Ln in Diamond Bar.

It's in a food court for Super H mart (Korean supermarket).

Ambiance: it's in a food court. Nothing fancy.

Cleanness: This supermarket is very clean for a Korean market, but I saw flies at the food court... The racks for the dirty dishes need to be cleaned more often. I know it's hard to get rid of them since people for the market come and go.

      Service: Quick.
You order and pay at the counter. If you eat in, they'll give you a buzzer you get at BJ's type of establishments. You'll leave your tray with dirty dishes on the communal rack. Water machine is communal, too.

Menu : They have burgers and fries (with bulgogi chili etc.). Desserts are like organic ice cream (it looked like McDonald's one - with a honey comb. Korean sweets are either too bland or too extremely over-sweetened. Nothing in between. So I'll pass) and shaved ICE for $7. They are topped with lots of red beans or whip cream, but $7 for shaved ICE seems extremely overpriced.

Parking: Plenty. Not only Asians but also other kinds of Diamond Bar residents clog the exit of the shopping mall.. Sometimes it takes too much time to get out onto the Diamond Bar blvd.

      - Gluttony Expedition -
Bulgogi burger: I'm not a novice on Korean cuisine. I had this before and all came with "bulgogi" (marinated thin sliced beef), not a regular "burger pate". They use 100% Angus beef pate, which was good and tasty. But it's an ordinary good quality pate, not a "bulgogi".. The buns are cheap kind that McDonald's type places use. The aioli sauce seemed to contain "bulgogi" sauce (marination), which made it a bit sweet. But they put it so little, it seemed just an ordinary burger overall. $4.50 is a decent price for that, but I left confused "why the hell is this called bulgogi?!"....

French fries: $1.75 for normal French fries. They give you a good portion. Good fries. The fries jump up the price very quickly (very sharp raise) by adding cheese, garlic, or bulgogi chili.

      - Conqueror's Deduction -
I lately eat gourmet burgers a lot due to my little Yelp buddy (I'm not a burger eater in general). Those places charge $9 for a burger (by itself) and most places except for the one at "Pie Dog" in Fullerton left me unsatisfied. Hence, $4.50 for the decent burger wasn't bad, but it's just an ordinary burger to me despite it was claimed to be "bulgogi" burger.

It was nothing about "bulgogi". Unless you licked the bulgogi aioli itself, you really don't taste "bulgogi" much overall. If you come here to eat just a decent burger, you'll be satisfied. Otherwise you'll leave here wondering what's this all about like me..

They should have used the real bulgogi, or marinated the burger "pate" with "bulgogi" marination - if you call it "bulgogi burger".

Confusing experience and it didn't make me feel I was willing to go back here again.

While crusing the aisles of H Mart for samples of food to eat, my heart was Melted. The management of Melt came up to me and introduced themselves to me and told me that they were a brand new restaurant in the food court and encouraged me to try their restaurant. Since I had already eaten, I perused the menu instead. It looked promising with their burgers, bulgogi cheese fries, and other goodies. I left with a sample of their organic soft serve ice cream, which was delicious. I left wanting more. A couple days later, I came back for a real visit. Again, the employees of Melt welcomed me and gave me suggestions on what to get. I ended up getting a ramen burger and their bulgogi cheese fries.

The Ramen Burger was the best ramen burger that I have had. The burger had a large meat patty, lettuce, cucumbers and their special jalapeno sauce on their ramen bun. I loved how the special jalapeno sauce tasted and gave it a spicy kick. This sauce made the ramen burger better than all the other ramen burger that I have tried. With that said, I have had enough with ramen burgers. Ramen belong in soup. All ramen buns that I have tried are tasteless. This would be a a very good burger on a bread bun.

The bulgogi cheese fries were great! Fries were topped with a special sauce, cheese and bulgogi. It was a hit with my wife and daughter who ate most of it. By the time I got to it, it was cold and soggy. But, it still tasted good to me. Next time, no sharing!

The staff both time I showed up were nice and friendly. It is their friendliness to me that makes me want to see them succeed. Good food. Great people. I will be back.

Food is great. That's not what this review is about.
The owner either needs to get his hours straight or change them. It's listed as 8:30pm closing on yelp. I've arrived at 7:45pm on multiple occasions (far enough in between where I forget about their idiotic hours) and am told that they're closed. When I ask their closing time he tells me 8pm. I hate being the person who comes in at the last second too but what is the purpose of listing your hours later when the kitchen is already closed? Just be transparent about it.

So delicious! I eat here a lot on my 30 min lunch. My favorite is the Shanghai chicken burger, with cheese and with an egg. Ohh, the sauce is so yummy.

This place is inside the H Mart supermarket. The food makes my mouth water. And their lemonade is pretty good, too!

This review is for the ramen only. You fill out a form on how you want your ramen and hand it to them. Honestly, I wasn't expecting much, but I was pleasantly surprised at how tasty their tonkotsu ramen actually was. The broth was light, but still had the the meaty broth flavor. The chashu was pretty good too. Overall, it was a satisfying bowl with a lot of noodles and broth with an adequate amount of toppings.

I can't speak for their other food, but the ramen here was solid.

      HIDDEN BURGER JOINT IN DB

Surprised that I never ate here before but my friend mentioned it was good so I checked it out- and reviews are true!

Not only is the food yummy but very affordable.

Bokko burger was really good except it was messy. The apple cabbage slaw complimented the burger well but mixed with the chipotle sauce it dripped everywhere. Next time I will order light sauce. $4.25

The Bulgogi fries was the star of the show. Crispy fries and sweet bulgogi crumbles on top with sauce and cheese. I think I will order this just as a meal by itself it was filling! $4.75 pretty good for an item that would easily go for $10 at a hipster spot in LA.

      Yum!
