This place has been getting better and better over the years. The staff is hard-working and fun, and the food is great too! I love the express lunch menu and the "Mic Mac", their take on the world famous artery-clogging McDonald's staple.
Also beer is cold and TVs work.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Business owner information

Hey Amrik, we appreciate you leaving such a nice review. It's loyal customers like you that keep us going!
Jul 13, 2015Previous reviewI've never had a bad experience here or a bad meal! Thanks to the chef and great servers, Meehan's in Sandy Springs is always a real treat.
Thank you to the chef specifically for adding the BBQ chicken sliders and the Pork Wings - WOWZAS. - Jun 25, 2019
I came here for the annual Canada Fest. The setup was nice and it did not feel too crowded, even with all of the booths. They used the outdoor space well and had the stage well positioned so that you could see from multiple vantage points, including the roof top patio. Another nice touch was the self serve water they set up. It was hot and ultimately, this saved them with staff resources.
They had their regular menu, along with a special menu with Canadian favorites on it. I had the poutine with smoked meat and it was great. The cheese curds were huge, but spread very unevenly. They also had a few Canadian beers, specifically Labatt's tall boys. The reason this is only a 3 star review is because some of the staff seemed like they did not want to be there. They weren't smiling and was short with everything.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Aug 21, 2017
I was so hungry when we went here! What a shocker.... Lol
It's dim inside and our server was friendly. It was a bit slow but that may have been the hunger perception.
I ordered the shepherds pie and while it was good, it wasn't great. I wished I ordered fish n chips like my boyfriend because that was amazing. I don't know what it was about the pie but it needed something that I couldn't figure out. Salt? Spice? No idea.
We also ordered poke tacos and they have jalapenos so they're kinda spicy. My boyfriend can't eat spicy so I stuffed myself on those and felt bad for not remember to ask for no jalapenos so he could partake. They were awesome though.
We had a dining out passbook coupon so that made the experience more pleasurable. Plus, the server complimented my hair so that made me automatically like her.

Came here on a Sunday and it was really dead so we were sat immediately. We sat outside on the terrace which was really nice. I ordered the fish and chips and got a free margarita for checking in. The hubs ordered the French toast from the brunch menu.
My 2 fish were a in natural shape and very rectangular which made me think it was factory processed and frozen and upon tasting it, it pretty much tasted just like that. It was edible but really dry which usually means packaged frozen. The chips were ok. The French toast was a portion size for a small child.
I'm overall greatly disappointed with the food but the atmosphere was nice on a sunny day.
I don't plan on ever coming back since they do t have the decency to cook fresh fish .Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0 - Aug 16, 2017
The outside patio was spacious, well lit, and had fans blowing at the corners so it wasn't humid. Downstairs was slightly smaller though and sort of cramped.
When our group of 10 or so arrived around 10 PM, we encountered a small band singing their hearts out. The significant other said downstairs became really packed at one point so I guess this spot with its live music was a hit.
Meehan's drink selection was pretty okay. I did like their draft and beer choices. One friend had the burger that was on an English muffin, and he said it was okay (he wouldn't order it again). They also had corn hole too as another means of entertainment besides the non-live music playing in the background.
Service was so so. Our waiter did his job, but it was sort of meh. It wasn't bad service, it was just the bare minimum with no smiles and very minimum talking. And just so you know... With a larger group count, gratuity will automatically be added. Thanks for not informing us this.
Also redeem your free margarita drink via the Yelp check in! But if you're in a large group, only one person can get the deal. :(
There were plenty of parking as this complex was rather large and at the end corner across the way from Kroger.Helpful 4Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0 - Dec 30, 2015
/TL;DR A decent spot to meet up and chat. Somehow, it wasn't disruptively loud in there. Decent all around. Hard to find if you're facing the wrong direction of the strip mall.
/ATMOSPHERE Think Irish pub. Okay, done.
/FOOD Had the fish tacos and asked for the sauce on the side. They accommodated, separating everything, including the queso. :) It was good. I'd have it again.
/SERVICE I don't remember having to wait very long for anything so it worked out pretty well. Read comment above about my tacos. That was nice.

I've been coming to Meehan's for years. The food is outstanding. The Guinness is poured properly. The service is impeccable. But I'm usually on call Tuesday nights. Not working tonight, so the best wife in the world and I stopped by for dinner.
Apparently the is an Irish band that practices here every Tuesday. They are phenomenal. It is the best show in town!!! Come here, raise a pint and be impressed.

Brunch: 5/5 | I got the shrimp & grits off the brunch menu. I absolutely hate grits with a passion but ordered them probably because I was still wasted from the night before and omg am I glad I did! They were served Cajun-style with freshly diced bell peppers and onions on top. Hands down one of the best brunch meals I've ever had. Normally I'd think that Meehan's is a bit pricey at nearly $15 for 5 pieces of shrimp and some grits but the plate is rather unique so I would be willing to return here. However, keep in mind that Cajun food tends to be on the salty side so the flavor might be overwhelming for those who prefer classic grits.
Omelettes: 3/5 | We also got the steak omelette which was overcooked and not very flavorful... It felt like someone dumped some meat and onions in between some eggs. I've been advised that omelettes are really hit or miss here but I hope I get to try a better one the next time I return!
Service: 2/5 | On the other hand, service wasn't that great. Our server only came to greet us and take our orders and then disappeared. A food runner dropped off our food and our server never came to check the table or refill our waters and it was a pretty slow at the time. :(

The buffalo chicken salad was AMAZING! I ordered it grilled with extra ranch and it was great. I would defiantly come back- and would likely order the same thing. The atmosphere is very "chill" and they had 4 TV's showing football and baseball.
The bartender was friendly and attentive. Prices were fair and food came out quickly.

Had a tift with the bartender Jessica she ignored me for about an hour and a half almost 2! I sat there while she tended to everyone else but me.
I was finally able to get her attention while she was sitting down eating and socializing. I waved at her she acted as if she was coming over and then didn't! She served two other people before me.
Once she finally came to me with an attitude and proceeded to ask me " do you have a job? So you have a life? Are you perfect?" So on and so forth i have never been treated so horribly.
I can honestly say that I have never been treated this way anywhere I have ever been. I've been going to meehans for years actually one of my favorite spots. This was my first time at this location though.
The bar was filled with Caucasian men who she proceeded to check on and serve while I sat there asking and awaiting for service. I was disgusted and was almost in tears leaving. With how she disrespected me.
The general manager Robert was absolutely fantastic after the incident when I was in the mood to never come back to a place that I absolutely love he left me feeling like all was right with the world. I will be back solely based off of his exemplary service and attitude. He refunded
But I don't know how I feel about the blatant racism he tried to correct on her behalf:/Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0
