If you're looking for a good Irish pub, this is the spot!
The menu is packed with delicious options to choose from. To the point where I had a hard time deciding so I gave the server some choices and told him to choose for me and he certainly delivered! There are some traditional American items on the menu as well for more picky eaters.
I had the shepherds pie and the lamb was perfect tender. You can tell they took there time on it. Portions are very hearty too!
The ambiance is exactly what you would expect of an Irish pub. It was great.
Services but a bit slow and didnt see too much of our server but they were busy and when we did see him, he was kind and helpful.
Would definitely recommend this place to others.
ALSO: you MUST get the bread pudding! I mean it!
Its the best part!!Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - David K.Concord, NC2082229Apr 10, 2024
The food was excellent, service was excellent, had shepherds pie, corn beef egg roll and Irish bread pudding.
Ordered Irish coffee which was also outstanding, went to order another.....they were out of coffee.
How does this even happen?? To run out of a staple item is completely inexcusable. Do better!Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - 2855122477Apr 2, 2024Updated review
Second time at this pub. Customer service was excellent!! The server took our order and in less than 10 minutes we were served!! Of course we did beat the noon conference lunch crowd by about 10 minutes. The place filled up fast.
Food was served hot and the portions were more than generous. The place was quiet and I love the historical movie significance with the bar scene from Sully filmed at the bar.
I would always return if again in Atlanta.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Jul 23, 2017Previous reviewDecided to eat at an Irish pub this evening in downtown Atlanta. It was slow for a Sunday night so our party of four had no trouble getting seated immediately here.
The service was very good with our meal served in under 10 minutes. I ordered the fish and chips (fries). The cod was lightly batter and had good taste. Fries were nothing special but tasted fine. The other people with me had nothing but praise for the mac & cheese, Reuben and chicken wrap.
Why not a five. Value vs. price. I expected at least a third piece of fish for that price tag. Otherwise this place is worth a second time.
Plenty of sports on the many televisions and the lights above the bar look pretty awesome. - Mar 15, 20241 check-in
I had been warned to avoid downtown as this is not a great walking city. They were right. My company secured a block of rooms at a nearby hotel and the food selections around here were meager at best. Meehan's was one of the few solid choices and they really delivered for me. The place was packed but I grabbed a seat at the bar and the two bartenders were busting their asses all shift pulling drinks and serving food to the counter dwellers.
I had a nice black n tan and a huge plate of Shepherds Pie. Both were excellent as was the service.Helpful 7Thanks 3Love this 6Oh no 0 - Mar 25, 2024
The food is so good! We got the salmon, meatloaf and a burger. Everything was very tasty, came out hot and was well seasoned. We also got the bread pudding with ice cream. I highly recommend!
Our server, Andrew, was very polite and helped us decide on our meal. He was quick to deliver our drinks and he kept them full.
This is a great Irish pub!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Amber S.New Galilee, PA10113Apr 23, 2024
Disappointing. Went with a medium size group with a reservation at 4:30 on a Monday. First the craft pretzels we ordered were not what is pictured on their website, they were three pretzel logs that would cost $6 max at any other restaurant. Then one of our group never got her food, the waiter walked by, without her having anything in front of her like 5 times, and didn't say anything so we assumed it was coming. He just never noticed he didn't bring her meal by the time he checked and said they were going to start making it she decided she didn't want it as we had somewhere to get to. The lobster bisque would best be described as a tomato soup with a few small pieces of lobster in it. The burgers and chicken tenders were a hit with our teens though and had large portions.

We stopped by for a quick bite around 2 pm on a Friday. The service was fast and the food came hot. The hot wings, all flats, were crispy on the outside, juicy and tender on the inside and LARGE. The best wings I've had since moving to Georgia. The Brussels were oversized as well, but a little awkward to eat due to the size and the sweet potato fries were on point.

We got in late and after a long day of traveling we just wanted to grab a quick bite before heading back to the hotel.
Walked into Jukebox and decided the music was too loud. We're glad we chose Meehan's.
We were seated right away at a quiet booth. The basketball games were on TV.
We ordered the nachos to share (good portion) and I had the Grilled salmon with salad. The salmon was cooked perfectly, a bit salty. Maybe it was the capers. I loved the green beans and spinach. Crunchy and fresh! Our waitress checked in from time to time.
Good food and service! Highly recommend.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Nov 25, 2023
Wanted a low key place for dinner and a drink my first night in ATL for a conference. Found Meehan's on Yelp and it did not disappoint. You know its good when its busy with locals. Grabbed a seat at the bar and ate my meal there. Bartenders and servers were all very young, most likely University students. They were all very attentive and friendly.
